"Looking at how elegant and gorgeous you look - your young body and face without wrinkles. I'm just angry I wasted my sympathy on you". Chen Lihua answered with her palm on her jaw.

Lady Chen scoffed, "Are you waiting for me to look old and haggard before you display the affection you have for me?"

"Not really. For a moment, I forgot that you are a strong woman. But anyway, it's not bad to show you love once in a while." Chen Lihua said.

Three waiters came in to serve the dishes in a tray. After serving them, they bowed and left.

Putting food into her mouth, Lady Chen looked at Chen Lihua and asked, "Why is your attitude bad today? Even your countenance is something else. Are you annoyed?"

Chen Lihua swallowed the food in her mouth before answering, "I am on my Period".

"Oh! Mine will be coming in two days' time". Lady Chen answered nonchalantly.

"Mum!" Chen Lihua said with an angry face. "Did I ask you?"

"What's wrong with that?" Lady Chen asked, confused at the sudden outburst.

Chen Lihua's chest heaved up and down. And after calming down a little, she answered the woman who had already stopped eating and staring at her.

"Forget it, just eat your food. I want to go home and change before I embarrass myself for the second time today".

Lady Chen dropped her fork as amusement was written all over her face.

So with her smile and unveiled dimples, she asked, "Tell me, which embarrassment did you encounter on your red day?"

You need to see the way Chen Lihua's eyes 👀were currently staring daggers 🗡️ at her mother.

Then she made a motion of standing up. "I will pay for the meal on my way out, so enjoy your lunch mother".

Seeing that Chen Lihua was on her feet, Lady Chen said with her widened eyeballs due to surprise.

"Where are you going? Fine, I won't ask you anymore since you are in a bad mood, but you will have to tell me later. So sit and eat with me".

Chen Lihua sighed before sitting. And so, that's how their lunch went on peacefully without any talks as Lady Chen was afraid of angering her daughter.

After the meal and outside the restaurant, Lady Chen asked, "When will you come to the house?"

Chen Lihua is supposed to be at the Chen Residence since she has only a few days before her traditional Chinese Wedding.

"I don't know. I will ask Longwei. What about our relatives, are they still in the Chen residence?" Chen Lihua asked worriedly.

Lady Chen smiled and touched Chen Lihua's hair. "No, they have their own houses. They only spent a night there and left the following morning. Why do you ask? Are you scared of seeing and interacting with them?"

Chen Lihua laughed softly as she gently patted her mother's shoulder, "Mom, you really know your daughter well. I just find it awkward to interact with people I am not close to. And you know, I don't know how to hide my annoyance, so I am worried I will do something wrong and be tagged 'Arrogant'."

Lady Chen smiled saying, "No problem. Thank you for the gift even though I haven't had the opportunity to see its content".

Chen Lihua smiled as well, "You are welcome".

"Take care of yourself, and I will be expecting you at home soon". Lady Chen said as she entered her Jeep.

Just before the car door closed, Chen Lihua smiled saying, "Don't worry, I will call you after I must have spoken with Longwei. Goodbye and have a nice day".

Without the mother and daughter duo's knowledge, a black low key car has been parked on the other side of the road, and the person there had been looking at them for a while now.

Chen Lihua got into her own car and left.

Back at the Liu residence, Chen Lihua entered the house with servants carrying many shopping bags 🛍️ behind her.

"Madam, do you want to have lunch now?" The middle-aged Aunty asked.

Chen Lihua just glanced at her before making her way upstairs with the servants carrying her bags.

Then she said, continuing in her steps, "Am not hungry".

In her room, Chen Lihua left the maids to arrange the bags in one corner of her room and went into the bathroom immediately.

She could feel that if she delayed in changing her sanitary pad even for a minute, she would be dripping blood.

After having her bath, Chen Lihua changed into a comfortable flowered printed gown that was a little bit above her knees.

Then she started sorting the new clothes she bought. She packed the clothes to one side, and the shoes and jewellery to another.

She first kept hers away (Shoes and jewellery) before bringing Liu Longwei's to his room.

She didn't even bother to keep them inside his walk-in closet, she just dropped them neatly beside his bed but kept the little box containing the chain necklace on his bed.

Back in her room, Chen Lihua put all the new clothes she bought into the laundry basket with the white dress she just removed before carrying it downstairs.

As for her undies, she washed them personally, and she always does so. None of the servants has ever washed her undies before.

The maids were shocked to see their Madam carrying the laundry basket filled with clothes all by herself, so they rushed over to help her carry it into the laundry room.

So Chen Lihua allowed them but followed behind them all the way to the laundry room.

Seeing their Mistress inside the laundry room with them, they became scared and asked her to go out, that they would take care of the clothes since she had nothing to do at the moment.

But Chen Lihua told them not to worry, that she would take care of the clothes herself.

The servants didn't know what to do because their Mistress was doing their job, something they were being paid to do.

So they just listened to her, but dare not go out.

Everyone could see that the laundry room was well furnished with the right equipment.

So Chen Lihua immediately got busy with washing, using the washing machine.
