Emmelyn's mind was in a mess. On one side she was filled with jealousy, thinking that Mars might really meet another woman that he could touch.. who taught him this new bed trick.

On the other side, her brain was filled with so much euphoria that she could barely think.

"Why are you staring at me like that?" Mars finally asked after Emmelyn stared at him for a good while, without saying anything. Now, he started feeling anxious. Did she not really like it?

Why her expression looked weird? Was Gewen lying to him when he said that all women loved it? Emmelyn sure looked like she was enjoying it.. but why was she looking at him with that weird expression?

"Are you okay?" He asked again. "Do you not like it?"

Emmelyn shook her head. She sat up and held his arms. Her eyes looked dead serious when she uttered her question. "Do you love me?"

Mars blinked quickly several times. He was startled by this sudden question. Why did she ask that?

[Of course, I love you!] His heart immediately replied.

"Of course, not. We have talked about this." However, his lips denied his feelings. "Why are you asking?"

Mars didn't think they were ready to go there, yet. Not now. He knew Emmelyn started to develop feelings for him, but she was still chained by her grudge and revenge. If he confessed his love to her now, he would be like walking on thin ice.

He needed them to be on more solid ground before he could open up to her. He hoped that slowly, she could realize how good their life was as they spent more and more time together.

And soon, with the presence of children, one by one, between them... he was confident that the ice that had been covering her heart could be melted and she could forgive him and his family.

Emmelyn was a good actor. She could keep a flat face when she replied to him. "I was just wondering. It's nothing important."

Inwardly, Emmelyn was disappointed when she heard Mars' answer. She really thought the man was in love with her... and that was why he treated her so well and even took that extra mile.

Apparently, she assumed wrong.

She smiled and kissed him on the cheek. "Thank you for that one. It felt so good."

Mars was wondering why Emmelyn suddenly asked that question. Did he do something suspicious that she suddenly thought Mars was in love with her?

Was it because he went down on her? Didn't all men do that to their women?

"I am glad you like it," was all he could say to Emmelyn as he tried to hide his confusion. "I like it too. You taste so good."

Emmelyn hiccuped and pushed the man to move away from her. "Let's have REAL breakfast."

They cleaned up and got dressed before they went down to the first floor and enjoy breakfast. Emmelyn was adamant about eating properly in the dining room. Mars could only oblige.

Emmelyn was visibly quiet during breakfast. She kept thinking about what happened in bed earlier today.
