When he met Ling Long and she became his pet, the little dragon's elemental resistances were somehow incredibly connected with his own resistances. However, back then there was no way for Xie Feng to confirm any of his thoughts in the short term and he knew that if he wanted answers he would have to wait since unfortunately there was no one to guide him; he had to walk an unknown path without any help.

Fortunately, a few days ago when he obtained the Pearl of Frozen Water, he was finally able to confirm that Ling Long's elemental resistances were indeed linked to his own elemental resistances; at the very least, they were linked to the legendary pearls.
