Shinobi Exam: First Question, Why Was Akatsuki Destroyed? Chapter 12

"Crap! Crap! Crap!"
"Holy fuck! Holy fuck! Holy fuck!"
"Why are you talking like me?"
"Because I'm uncultured! I can't express my current mood, the admiration and joy in my heart right now, like a flood that broke the dam, sweeping me away. I can't hide my inner heart any longer. My current mood is like the attraction between the stars and the universe, and although I stare into the abyss, I experience the exhilaration of the abyss. My soul is like a sapling after a long drought, absorbing the sweet spring. I feel like every hair on my body is trembling; I feel like..."
"Okay, just stop it!"
"What's the matter?"
"Akatsuki! Akatsuki is so awesome! Pain is awesome!"
"Yes, my friend, you are right. Pain is awesome!!!"
This was a dialogue between two ordinary samurais in the Land of Iron.
.....
"Shit! Holy shit! Holy fucking shit!"
In Kumogakure, the Jinchūriki Killer B looked at the screen overhead, waving his fists excitedly, and couldn't wait to pull out the eight-tails and jump on him to dance.
In fact, he solicited the eight-tails opinion but was ruthlessly rejected.
The eight tails' reason was: 'I don't play with fools.'
In Killer B's body, the eight-tailed cow-like beast was too lazy to take care of the crazy Killer B. He looked carefully at the crying man and women on the screen.
At first, only the girl cried, but when the exam space said they were correct, the man in the wheelchair also cried.
The crying was greatly dramatic, but nowhere near as dramatic as the smile on his lips.
Even the eight-tailed beast admired this unreserved belief in each other.
Everyone knew the shinobi world was a world of deception!
He knew that this guy wasn't good, but he had to admit that this guy was ... extremely charismatic!

Like a born ... leader!
"I'll remember you! Kid!"
...
'This courage! This drive! This vigor!'
Momochi Zabuza's eyes were fixed on Pain. Instead of mocking the other's cowardly display of hugging a woman and crying. On the contrary, he was impressed!
He was the Executioner's Blade user in the second generation of the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist.
He once assassinated the Fourth Mizukage to stop the Blood Mist, and after failing to do so, he fled the village and became a renegade ninja. He was now fleeing from Anbu's pursuit while brewing his next coup.
For this reason, he started to lose his bottom line and was hired to carry out assassinations by anyone willing to pay a high price.
His experience made him believe that the world was only about rivalry and deceit and that even the favorite of children could turn the butcher's knife on their parents to survive.
Now, his worldview was collapsing!
'It turns out that there are people who are different. There really are!'
He felt he was too narrow-minded. If he had such an organization, such a leader...
Momochi Zabuza's eyes showed a bit of a struggle. It completely disappeared after seeing the smiles on the faces of the Akatsuki members.
"I need to see him!"
His brow furrowed and quickly unfurled.
He didn't know where this organization was now, but he knew how to find Hoshigaki Kisame.
Momochi Zabuza jerked to his feet but woke up the child beside him because of the excessive movement.
"Zabuza-sama?"
"I've changed my mind. You should go, I have other things to do."
Momochi Zabuza didn't stop and walked forward. The place he was going to was too dangerous to take the kid with him.
Stunned, the pale boy bit his lips, stubbornly trying not to cry.
He remembered that Zabuza-sama had said that tools must not shed tears. Moreover, tools could never leave their master.

"Wait for me, Zabuza-sama!"
In fact, not only Momochi Zabuza, many people in the shinobi world who hadn't returned to their villages after seeing the scene just now were all curious about Pain and this organization.
They had no place to live, they didn't care about justice or evil, and even more so scoffing at the major shinobi villages.
After what they had just experienced, they felt Pain was strong, bold, and ambitious.
This person may be worthy of their devotion.
...
"If this boy remains alive, he will become a great threat!"
Danzō's face also has a hint of shock. He didn't expect that the correct answer would be the girl.
This made his face a little red. He believed that Uchiha Obito was the real answer.
As a result, he was instantly smacked in the face.
However, he really didn't think that Pain could make such a choice!
'Not even trusting yourself!'
'Such a ruthless person!'
"Everyone, I think it's time for us to talk!"
The apparent coldness in Sarutobi Hiruzen's voice startled both Hokage advisors at the same time.
Sure enough, in the next moment, Sarutobi Hiruzen's words plunged them into an ice cave.
"I'm old, and it's time to abdicate."
"When I abdicate, and Konoha's Hokage is no longer in need of advisors, you can step down with me."
"As for Danzō, I remember that a little over ten years ago, you and Hanzo from Amegakure jointly attacked an organization, whose name was also called ..."
"... Akatsuki."
"If your answer doesn't satisfy me, I will simply recall your Root."
"Sarutobi Hiruzen! How dare you!" Danzō sprang to his feet and looked at Sarutobi Hiruzen viciously.
But to his despair, Sarutobi Hiruzen didn't roar back in anger but rather flatly said:
"I figured it out. I'm really old. Dead branches shouldn't stay on trees. They should fall to the ground with the leaves and turn into nutrients to nourish the tree."
"This matter is settled. Now that this has happened, I believe that both Tsunade and Jiraiya will return, and when they return, we will determine the specifics."
"Konoha's fire can't wilt in my hands!"
...
Zetsu rose from the ground and looked overhead.
"I can't believe you got it, right?"
'That's not right.' Zetsu suddenly stared at everyone in the hall, even at Orochimaru and Jiraiya, who had the least sense of existence.
'Someone struck me. Why didn't anyone die?'
'Is it not considered a disruption of the exam space discipline?'
Zetsu was a little confused but found that everyone looked at him with unfriendly eyes. He quietly got up and walked over to Obito to play dead.
He just tried to put on a show but was interrupted before he could start.
Now, he wasn't going to continue.
He laid flat.
No more struggling.
He was tired of being around these people.
...
Above, Ryuji saw Konan hugging Pain with a calm expression.
He didn't expect that Pain would make such a choice.
'This requires more than trust!'
No wonder, in the past life, even when Akatsuki clearly failed, there were still countless people who loved them.
Some people even said that the ten people of Akatsuki represented ten dreams.
Peace, friendship, affection, art, love, dominance, longevity, childhood, religion, and strength.
Ryuji didn't know, but now, looking at Konan, who was slowly calming down, he just wanted to cross back and tell them that:
'Akatsuki was really worthy of your love!'
"System, give them the analysis."

The Infinite Labyrinth
(Story complete - Book 1 "Shanghaied", 2 "Shortcuts", 3 "Secrets" and 4 "Sanctions") It is the 19th century, and war smoulders between England and France. Any hope for a quick end to Napoleon's rampage across Europe ended when the Great Gates opened in 1800. For a fortunate few, the strange world of the Infinite Labyrinth offers opportunities, strange descriptors popping in their minds, informing them of growth, and status beyond that of a mere mortal. The materials and power crystal they bring back foster a new age, both military and civilian. Aether-powered Skyships prowl the skies, as all the great nations blessed by the Gates try to turn the blessings of the Labyrinth into immediate advantages. But for Jonas, an apprentice leatherworker, his friend Ira, and so many Londoners, the fabled ones that walk the Labyrinth are distant heroes, seen from afar. They fell short when their Potential was measured, and they fill their mundane lives with distant dreams. One man wants to break the stalemate. The Tyrant of the Dominion of France, Napoleon Bonaparte, has a plan. Eighteen years after the world changed, he will force it to change again. And when civilians are caught in the fallout, the unthinkable happens. Six people, unqualified, forbidden to ever enter the Labyrinth, find themselves stranded in a distant zone, forcefully turned into Professionals. They know little of what that means, but they have to figure out the rules that are now their lot, for they have little hope to escape their predicament otherwise. They need to understand what the descriptors in their minds mean, what each of the strange piece of gear waiting in treasure chests behind terrible guardians can bring them. They have to become Professionals on their own and rejoin the Empire. They will figure out their new lives one way or another. But will there be an Empire waiting for them when the Gates re-open? Caught in a clash of empires and high tiers, they will do what little they can. They will step up and do their best. One way or another. The Infinite Labyrinth is a slice-of-life litRPG adventure set in a real historical setting. It's a hard, crunchy litrpg. Expect blue boxes everywhere, and the system itself is very mathy. It started life as a serial. I prepared some proper worldbuilding, with enough details and background for lots of different potential story arcs, but as I wrote, I realized the main story needs to have a definitive end. So, there are four books in total, for a bit under 1500 pages, plus additional side stories, and even maybe a sequel one day. The Gore tag was added as a precaution because there are a few scenes with some light gore.

Fallen
Hundreds of years ago, the servant god Elsyn declared that they would destroy humanity entirely, explaining it as their duty as humanity’s peacekeeper. When the gods saw it fit to send someone to oppose the fallen servant, Iztris—the gods’ own servant and follower—visits Cheryn. Iztris requests the aid of Alyson and Jacob, the oldest two heirs of Cheryn and the only ones given the gods’ offer of the ‘assurance of victory,’ and the heirs agree. There will come a time when humanity does fall—but none of them would allow that to happen by the hands of a being just as flawed as mortals. I recommend reading the story by volume, instead of by the order the chapters were posted. This story was beta read by Mad Sadie. Many thanks! Please note that some characters use different pronouns depending on the chapter’s view and the speaker. Iztris, for example, is referred to with neutral pronouns by Elsyn (in most cases) and themself, and after being introduced as such they are referred to with male pronouns by Alyson and Jacob.

Mother World
Three people find themselves in a strange place filled with dangerous creatures and monsters that prowl during the night. Will they adapt or die trying?Rule #1: Beware of the black water. Rule #2: Don't act like a cliche horror movie character. Rule #3: Being strong is a plus---------------------------This story was inspired by a dream I was in and I just had to turn it into a written story. This is basically my very first attempt at creating a story beyond ten pages and I'm writing it for fun so please be gentle~ Mother World will contain some sci-fi, elements of fantasy, supernatural powers and of course some romance. When it comes to the romance it'll be gradual. The romance may or may not contain sex scenes as I'm not sure if ya'll would want my half baked attempts at tickling your fancy. The horror tag is there because I am a really big fan of horror games. I'll try not to be too excessively gory, however... there will be blood... I like to treat my characters like those in game of thrones. Screw plot armor! As for the tragedy tag...ya'll will just have find that out for yourselves won't ya! :)Also beyond chapter 4.5, I'll try and consistantly keep them at 1000+ words.
