My Senior Brother Is Too Steady Chapter 314

Chapter 314 The Sea God Who Is Familiar With The Three Schools!
Opportunity? What opportunity is Teacher waiting for? In front of the Tushita Palace’s gate, the Great Daoist Master stood quietly on the stairs, thinking about the short conversation he had with his teacher in the Grand Pure Temple.
He had gone to ask his teacher for permission to officially take Li Changshou as his disciple.
However, his teacher only said… that the time was not right. In other words, Teacher has already decided to take Changshou as his disciple, but he is waiting for an opportunity?
What opportunity could there be?
Isn’t it just a matter of a Saint’s decree?
Why do I feel that there is a complicated plan behind this?
The Great Daoist Master frowned slightly. He pushed open the door of the Tushita Palace and returned to his fixed seat.
He was under the old tree of the cool grassland.
As the Eldest Disciple of Ren School and the Eldest Senior Brother of the Dao Sect, how could he not plan? It was just that he had been thinking less and was too lazy to devise a scheme.
The Great Daoist Master raised his sleeve and looked interested.
Today, let me deduce what kind of opportunity my teacher is waiting for and when Changshou can successfully enter the Tushita Palace!
Hence, the Great Daoist Master sat under the tree and began to pinch his fingers and ponder. He nodded and shook his head from time to time. He looked rather serious.
The Great Daoist Master only heaved a sigh of relief when he frowned…
He had given up.
He really could not figure out what his teacher was plotting
“Sigh, let them be. It’s fine as long as they know that Teacher is interested in taking in disciples. It’s not appropriate to tell Changshou about that. Otherwise, Changshou’s mental state would be unstable. I’ll congratulate Changshou after Teacher gives the decree.”
The Great Daoist Master yawned. Just as he was about to “return his body to nature and let his mind fuse with the world”, the Little Gold and Little Silver ran over from afar.
“Great Daoist Master! Senior Brother Changshou came over previously and brought some immortal peaches.”
“Immortal Peaches?”
The Great Daoist Master raised his eyebrows and looked at the six immortal peaches in the jade box that Little Gold and Little Silver had opened. He smiled. “Changshou is really considerate. He didn’t forget to send some over after receiving some benefits.”
The Great Daoist Master sighed softly. “The two of you can share them. Don’t let Changshou down.”
Little Gold and Little Silver hurriedly nodded and carried the jade box back into the hall. They even burped a few times along the way.
“These two little guys don’t even wipe their mouths when they eat secretly.” Immortal Peach… Sea God…
The Great Daoist Master muttered, “Could it be that Teacher wants to wait for Changshou to make some contributions If that’s the case, I can’t be anxious. However, I always feel that Teacher doesn’t care about the dragon race and should have other considerations. The word opportunity is really too vague.”
Forget it.
It’s useless to think so much.
The Great Daoist Master stretched his back and slowly leaned back. The shallow grass on the ground grew and intertwined, forming a comfortable straw bed.
Right, what is Changshou doing now?
The Great Daoist Master placed his left hand behind his head and tapped his right hand in front of him. The Taiji Painting slowly appeared. As the Yin-Yang fishes rotated, a painting was formed.

Oh, he actually went to the Three-Immortal Island!
When he saw that, the Great Daoist Master was instantly energized. The image slowly moved, and soon, he saw the two figures who were chatting in the forest.
The Great Daoist Master praised in his heart and hurriedly waved his hand to disperse the image of the Taiji Painting.
However, even if the Great Daoist Master was fast enough, Fairy Yun Xiao could still sense it. She looked at the sky…
The Great Daoist Master calculated carefully and realized that his Dao runes had not been captured by Yun Xiao. He heaved a sigh of relief.
‘You’re really something, Little Changshou.’ ‘He refuses to even let go of such an opportunity. How dare he go to the Three-Immortal Island with just some immortal peaches? It’s not like he has an immortal peach spiritual root. Isn’t he afraid that Junior Sister Yunxiao will look down on him?”
Hence, he turned around and fell asleep.
On the Three-Immortal Island, Yun Xiao frowned slightly and slowly retracted her gaze.
Li Changshou smiled and said, “What’s wrong? Is someone spying on this place?”
Yun Xiao could not help but ask curiously, “Fellow Daoist, you also sensed that aura just
now?”
“My cultivation level is low. I naturally can’t sense it,” Li Changshou said. “I just read that from your expression, Fairy.”
“Eldest Senior Brother should be watching.” Yun Xiao sighed softly and felt a little helpless. “I’ve embarrassed myself, Fellow Daoist.”
After sending Li Changshou to the Three-Immortal Island, Daoist Duobao used the excuse of going back to offer his peach to his teacher, and returned to the Green Touring Palace outside the etherealness. Li Changshou smiled and said, “Senior Duobao is carefree and unrestrained. He likes to fool around. He is really a rare figure in the world. There were many people in Jie School who were more humane than other places in the Primordial World. The path of cultivation is long. It’s the luckiest thing to have a friend.”
Yun Xiao could not help but stop in her tracks and turn around slightly. She smiled gently and said, “How do you make everything sound beneficial yet so reasonable?”
The forest was filled with light and shadows. Some light spots landed on her long dress, making her look more lively.
“Fairy, you flatter me.” Li Changshou did not dare to look at her. He only smiled and said, “It’s just that when you consider the same matter, you can try looking at it from a different perspective. Besides, the humane nature and friendliness of the members of Jie School is a good thing and also a bad thing.”
Yun Xiao asked, “Karma is the bad thing.”
“Yes, it is karma.” Li Changshou’s eyes were filled with deep meaning. He said slowly, “The more friends you have, the harder it is to get rid of karma. Karma is like a web that has already enveloped the entire Jie School.”
Yun Xiao pondered.
To be safe, Li Changshou did not mention anything else. He stopped and continued strolling with Yun Xiao.
The clouds rose and disappeared. The tide rose and fell.
The scenery on the Three-Immortal Island was not bad, but Li Changshou did not remember much.
Yun Xiao also asked him why he had come to Golden Ao Island this time. Li Changshou mentioned the dragon race and a letter he had obtained from Daoist Duobao on the way. There were two ancient words written on the book. They were ‘Dragon’ and ‘Heaven’. After that, after Li Changshou left the Three-Immortal Island, he would go to the Jade Void Palace to visit. He hoped to find Guang Chengzi and seek help from him to “trap” and “ascend”.

“Trapping the dragons and allowing them to soar to the Heavenly Courts?”
Yun Xiao muttered softly, “What effect does this handwriting have on the dragon race?”
“If they were simply written by the two seniors, there might be some negative effects and they might feel that the Dao Sect is interfering in the matters of the dragon race.”
Li Changshou smiled and said, “However, if this matter is handled carefully and complements the promise given by the Jade Emperor, it will form a strong suppression. Although the Primordial World is huge and the trichiliocosm is vast, the dragon race cannot hide from the Three Dao Sects.”
“Now, the Jade Emperor has lost his patience with the dragon race. There needs to be a conclusion as soon as possible. At this moment, we can’t let the dragon race resolve the internal problems first. We can only let the dragon race establish a name before cooperating internally and gradually reorganizing the race…” Li Changshou spoke calmly in the forest. Fairy Yun Xiao was listening quietly most of the time. From time to time, she would nod slightly or take the initiative to ask.
The two of them chatted happily.
It was as if two hours had passed quickly in the blink of an eye.
Li Changshou expressed his intention to leave. Yun Xiao sent him out of the Three-Immortal Island. Qiong Xiao and Bi Xiao also came out to join in the fun. There was a hint of mischief in their eyes, but they did not tease him.
They were warned not to do so, otherwise they would have to kneel.
“Let’s go,” Li Changshou said to Princess Long Ji, who was acting a little reserved. Long Ji flew forward and followed behind Li Changshou. She hugged his horsetail whisk and was in a daze.
She took the route of the South Continent and rushed to the Kunlun Immortal Mountain.
Halfway through the journey, Long Ji finally asked softly, “Sea God…”
“Huh?”
“Is the peach delicious?”
“Not bad. Why are you suddenly asking about this?”
“Hehe.” Long Ji stuck out the tip of his tongue and smiled. Then, she asked timidly, “Sea God, can I ask you something? Why did you come to the Heavenly Courts to help my father?”
Li Changshou replied with a question, “Then why do you think the Grand Supreme Elder is helping His Majesty in the Heavenly Courts?”
Long Ji could not help but be stunned. She vaguely felt that she had already obtained the answer, but she felt confused. She did not know what she had understood.
Li Changshou chuckled and continued to ride the cloud. He did not explain further.
On the other hand, Long Ji pondered for a while and took out his jade token. She lowered her head and wrote some words.
“The Sea God paid a visit to Jie School. He has a wide network of connections and many friends. It was really shocking, especially when Senior Duobao took the initiative to look for him and called him brother… The Sea God actually has a close relationship with Fairy Yun Xiao. They were like soul mates when they strolled through the forest and chatted happily… Impressive, impressive.” “Long Ji?”
“Yes!” Long Ji hurriedly agreed and put the jade talisman back into the sleeve of her Daoist robe. “Sea God, please give me your instructions!”
Li Changshou smiled and said, “Don’t spread anything about what you saw today in the Heavenly Courts.”
“If Father and Mother ask…”
“Of course you can tell them.” Li Changshou said, “Next, I’ll go and visit a senior. I’m going to the Jade Void Palace. Remember, no matter what happens in the Jade Void Palace, don’t make a sound. Just follow behind me.”
“Yes,” Long Ji replied solemnly.
She naturally knew that the members of the two Immortal Sects, the Chan School and the Jie School, often had conflicts with each other because of their different teachings and ideals
Long Ji saw that Li Changshou was extremely popular in Jie School and was even the “best friend” of the famous Fairy Yun Xiao. He reckoned that Li Changshou must be detested by the members of Chan School…
He should not get beaten up and chased out, right?
After all, Long Ji was still a young girl. At that moment, she had already begun to get uneasy. However, what happened next left Long Ji a little overwhelmed. They first headed to the two immortal mountains of the Middle Continent and found the Magu Cave. They saw a clean, beardless, and very friendly-looking elder.
Perfected Huang Long.
Li Changshou did not hide anything and directly said that he was here for the dragon race. He asked Perfected Huang Long to ask for a letter from Senior Guang Chengzi and took out Daoist Duobao’s letter.
Perfected Huang Long asked, “You only need Senior Brother Guang Chengzi to write two words?”
Li Changshou smiled and said, “That’s right. It’s best if you leave a wisp of Senior Guang Chengzi’s aura behind. That way, you can represent Chan School’s attitude.”
“That’s easy!”
Perfected Huang Long agreed readily and immediately brought Li Changshou and Long Ji to the Kunlun Mountain.
After finding the Jade Void Palace and paying respects to Guang Chengzi, Perfected Huang Long did not mention Li Changshou’s purpose for coming. He directly took the matter into his own hands and gave the words written by Daoist Duobao to Guang Chengzi.
Guang Chengzi smiled as he raised his brush and wrote the word ‘trap’ and ‘ascend’.
“That’s it?”
“Thank you, Senior Brother!”
“Thank you, Senior.”
“It’s nothing.” Guang Chengzi folded the book and returned it to Li Changshou with immortal power. He smiled and said, “The Heavenly Courts were established by the Dao Ancestor. It’s only right for them to contribute.”
Li Changshou thanked him repeatedly. Long Ji did not know what to say.
Are the two factions, Chan School and Jie School really that kind to the Heavenly Courts?
Long Ji naturally knew that all of that was just because of the Sea God’s pride. After they left the Jade Void Palace safely and returned to the East Ocean, Long Ji took out his jade token and silently wrote a sentence.
“The Sea God has connections in all three sects. It’s a surprise.”
Li Changshou arrived at the East Ocean with Long Ji.
They saw that at a huge array formation in a deep valley at the foot of the spiritual mountain in the Aparagodānīya Continent, a few figures stood beside a treasure pool and attacked at the same time. They slowly sank a golden cicada that had yet to shed its skin into the bottom of the treasure pool.
The few of them looked like old Daoists. They were all wearing tattered long robes.
According to the rules of the spiritual mountain, the more tattered one’s robe was, the higher one’s status in the sect would be. That was so that they could be wary of oneself and not forget the fact that the Western Sect was poor.
Not far behind the old Daoists, there were two figures standing in each corner. Daoist Wen Jing was also there, watching the Golden Cicada in the Treasure Pool.
She felt a little sad and empathetic but she almost laughed out loud… The old Daoists said, “Jin Chanzi has been crippled.”
“That Sea God actually has the strength to kill the Golden Cicada. Tell Wen Jing and the others be careful. Don’t attack the Sea God directly. This person’s powers are deeply hidden.”
“He’s a mysterious disciple of Ren School. I don’t know why he hides his abilities.”
The few of them spoke. After a few words, they fell silent.
Daoist Wen Jing was really surprised.
Sea God?
He had seriously injured Jin Chanzi with his own hands, and had beaten him up to the point that it was equivalent to reincarnating?
How is that possible? The Sea God’s cultivation level should not have reached the Zenith Heaven realm. On the other hand, Jin Chanzi is a ferocious beast that has fought since ancient times. It is impossible for them to fight at the same realm…
Why did Jin Chanzi almost die? Daoist Wen Jing was puzzled. Moreover, the Sea God… Isn’t he a civil official?
Daoist Wen Jing blinked.
An old Daoist priest gritted his teeth and cursed, “Are we going to put up with this? Teacher has said that Jin Chanzi is related to the rise of the Western Sect. The Sea God has cut off the great fortune of the Western Sect!”
“Even if we want to attack the Sea God, we can’t find his main body. What’s the use of killing his incarnation and his paper effigy?”
Another old Daoist priest said, “We can’t touch the Sea God but can’t we touch the people who are close to the Sea God?”
“Who?”
“The one who has a close relationship with the Sea God and has more karma with the Western Sect is…”
“Zhao Gongming of Jie School.”
Upon hearing that name, the old Daoists beside the Treasure Pool fell silent again.
The silence lasted for a while until an old Daoist priest looked up and sighed.
“We can’t defeat him. Another one.”
Daoist Wen Jing could not help but roll her eyes. She leaned against the stone wall and waited for the disciples of the Saint to come to a conclusion.
She heard them mumbling for a long time, but they could not find a suitable target for revenge. Daoist Wen Jing could not help but snort coldly in her heart…
‘As the Sea God’s right-hand man, I don’t even know half of his relatives and friends, let alone you guys.’
‘Instead of nagging here, why don’t you have the guts to go to Tushita Palace and find my beloved concubine?’
When she thought of the words ‘my beloved concubine’, Daoist Wen Jing’s phoenix-like eyes became slightly narrower. The corners of her mouth curled into a smile…
The disciples of the Western Sect discussed for a long time before they decided on a plan to take revenge on the Sea God.
Daoist Wen Jing only used a moment to explain the plan entirely to Li Changshou’s paper effigy, without missing a single detail…

Sorcery in Boston
The timid daughter of some of the greatest spellcasters ever to have lived has found herself in another world, courtesy of magic gone awry. In Boston, Massachusetts, in the year 1935, she finds some kind souls in a hard era. In the heart of the Great Depression, as war looms around the corner, she seeks to find her place, and must come to terms with both who she is and what she truly desires. Author's Notes: Release Note: I recently realized what the hold up is. My current mental state is not compatible with the planned ending. If I wrote the ending according to what currently feels right, it will be a wretched, cruel ending that feels monstrously unfair and invalidates the work of the various characters... because that's how my life feels at the moment. The planned ending is coming out hollow and awkward, no matter how I write it, and so I've been bashing my head. I will finish it, once I manage to either brute force something decent out, or once my head gets screwed on straight. Audience: This story is not for young children - it contains some profanity, sexual content, violence, gore, and significant adult themes. Most of these are handled delicately enough not to upset teens or adults (hopefully), hence the lack of relevant tags, but it is nonetheless unsuitable for youth. It's fairly slow paced, and focused on the development of very human, very flawed individuals. Length / Completion Estimates: The outline currently involves two books. Book 1 is expected to be done with Chapter 43. It'll probably be completely finished by sometime in March of this year. I expect to move on to the far-more-lighthearted Of Gods and Dungeons (currently in progress / on hiatus). Afterwards, I may decide to redo Book 1, or write Book 2, or actually start sharing the story most dear to me, that I've been working on for several years now. Draft 1: Please be aware that this is first draft material. I do intend to come back to do a second draft after the story is complete. If anyone notices any issues whatsoever with the story, please let me know (pm, etc) so that I can improve the second draft. Writer's Pledge: I've taken the Writer's Pledge, meaning I'm commiting to completing this story. I'm a proud member of WriTE, a group dedicated to finishing stories. It will be done! Behind the Scenes notes: This picture was commissioned from an inked artist by the name of DanP. Up until the time of the protagonist's arrival, history has proceeded as before. Some places and characters have been borrowed from wikipedia entries of interesting figures from the time. I will make note in the chapter comments when such things come up. Naturally, I've taken a great deal of liberty with them. In interest of respecting individuals, I've either attempted to portray them as accurately as possible, or modified them sufficiently enough that they're simply an inspiration, instead of a real portrayal. I've attempted to be as accurate to the era as possible, but I'm not a historian. If you're aware of inaccuracies, please, bring them to my attention so that I can correct them.

Just great.” Walking away from a life drenched in senseless bloodshed, Raksha embarks on the Warrior’s Pilgrimage. In doing so, he strives to hone his mind, spirit, and martial skills, and he swears to abide by the Ancient Code’s tenets of honor and compassion. To Blunt The Sharpest Claw
The Velvet Paw of Asquith Novels are a series of New Fable genre novels that involve cats and dogs and high adventure and romance and espionage and food-fights and hotels and explosions and car chases. With large casts, exotic locations and an absurdity only possible in the absence of human characters, the Velvet Paw of Asquith Novels blend Wind in the Willows with James Bond, though with more cafes and fewer badgers. This submission is the third title in its Morigan Trilogy, beginning two-thirds of the way through the series' longest adventure yet. Here's a quick recount of what's happened so far: When Oscar Teabag-Dooven, a Velvet Paw of Asquith, is ordered to investigate how a mysterious poet, the Ar'dath-Irr, is able to travel instantaneously around the world, two very bad things happen. Firstly, he meets Lydia, an insane librarian who punches everyone in the face, and secondly, the Ar'dath-Irr reveals he is intent on taking over the world. Although this second thing might be considered worse than the first, Oscar feels differently following Lydia’s destruction of a cafe, a library and his face in one afternoon. In comparison, thwarting world domination just seems easier. Along with Binklemitre, a fellow Velvet Paw of Asquith, and Lydia, Oscar infiltrates the Ar’dath-Irr’s realm of dark poetry to discover the dog not only intends wrenching the world apart but has no intention of cleaning up afterwards. As a result, Oscar decides it’s all too hard and goes home to have a bath. After lots of arguing and the sort of food fight that posh restaurants were invented for, Lydia and Binklemitre convince him that they must stop the Ar’dath-Irr for several reasons, one of them quite serious. A vibrant cast of characters collide as Oscar, Lydia and Binklemitre battle the Ar’dath-Irr and his disciples in an adventure involving exploding cafés and appalling hotels, car chases and inadvertent surgery, dreadful poetry, lots of arguments and at least one temper-tantrum, all of which draw the three into dark and convoluted corners of a world they weren’t aware existed. Moreover, any chance of sitting down and discussing things over some buns disappears when Lydia punches the Ar’dath-Irr in the face. This results in her having a psychotic episode and Oscar getting run over by an ambulance. Although Binklemitre suffers neither, he witnesses both, which is almost as dreadful, though not nearly so messy. An enormous battle ensues, followed by a dinner party and then everything explodes.
