My Senior Brother Is Too Steady Chapter 249

Chapter 249 Can I Have A Discount?
The fairy who had come here but was unwilling to appear was naturally Yun Xiao.
Only an expert like her could escape the detection of the Great Daoist Master Xuan Du, Zhao Gongming, and the others from dozens of kilometers away.
Clearly, the others did not know that Fairy Yun Xiao was hiding there.
Li Changshou had accidentally discovered the fairy’s whereabouts using the Heavenly Dao’s “Divine Artifact”. The latter immediately sensed it and stopped hiding. She flew towards the cloud platform openly.
She was just unwilling to appear. It was not that she could not appear.
In the air, Li Changshou turned his head to take a few glances at her. He felt that when he was looking at that fairy at that angle from afar, she looked even more…
“Congratulations, Sea God!” With a loud laugh, Elder Moon, who was dressed in a wedding robe, appeared in the clouds. He led a large number of officials and generals of the Heavenly Courts forward and kept cupping his hands at Li Changshou.
Li Changshou retracted his gaze and turned around. He cupped his hands and bowed to the immortals of the Heavenly Courts. They began to chat with each other.
As the Jade Emperor of the Heavenly Courts, what is the greatest taboo for him?
It had to be having the immortals and gods under him form an alliance to take over his power.
Li Changshou was already prepared for that. Although he was exchanging pleasantries with the immortals, he still maintained a distance from them. He did not offend anyone, nor did he have a good relationship with the immortals other than Elder Moon.
After the immortals congratulated him, General Dongmu rode a cloud over and smiled. “Sea God, you should deal with the matters of the mortal world. You will need to get a report from the Hall of Enlightenment within three years.”
Li Changshou bowed and said, “It’s all thanks to you, General Dongmu, that I was able to obtain the position of the legitimate god today.”
“Sea God, you’re too polite.” General Dongmu smiled and said, “From now on, we will serve His Majesty in the same hall. If I behave improperly, please remind me, Sea God.”
“You’re too kind, General Dongmu.”
The pair of real and fake old immortals looked at each other and smiled. However, their chemistry did not decrease.
He had already done what he had to do. General Dongmu bade farewell to the immortals of the Heavenly Courts. Golden rays of light appeared in the sky and guided the Heavenly Soldiers and Heavenly Generals back to the South-Heaven Gate.
From the beginning to the end, the immortals and gods of the Heavenly Courts had been enveloped by the power of the Heavenly Dao and were protected by the Heavenly Dao. That was an “advantage” of the Heavenly Courts…
However, Li Changshou carefully observed the expressions of the immortals of the three sects and realized that they were not touched at all.
Cultivation is meant to be carefree. Why should the heavenly laws restrict you?
The immortals of the three sects were already under the protection of the Saints. Naturally, they were not interested in the Heavenly Courts.
Li Changshou could not help but think about the superficial cause of the Great God-Conferment Tribulation. It was naturally because the disciples of the three sects were arrogant and did not respect the orders of the Heavenly Emperor. Therefore, the Heavenly Emperor went to the Purple Cloud Palace to complain and the Dao Ancestor recruited the Three Pure Ones to sign the God roll.
For example, ‘King Zhou of Shang wrote a poem to humiliate Nuwa, and Nuwa sent the three demons out of anger’. Those were all things that happened because of the calamity. Before that, the calamity had already begun…
The immortals of the three sects looked down on the Heavenly Courts, so they naturally had the confidence to do so.
On the other hand, the experts of the dragon race were all excited. Many old dragons had tears in their eyes as they looked at the… little azure dragon rolling in the black thunderstorm.
Li Changshou was rather loyal today. He did not go down to receive the distinguished guests. Instead, he stood quietly in the air and waited for Ao Yi to complete his transformation.
Countless mortals below were kneeling and kowtowing. Some even thought that the Sea God was about to leave them. The females, ranging from old women at the age of eighty to young women at the age of sixteen to seventeen were all crying and unwilling to part.
Fortunately, Li Changshou reminded the Divine Envoys of Xiong Village via voice transmission. The Divine Envoys took out the few stanzas of tongue-twisters that Li Changshou had made up previously and began to spread the little knowledge of the Heavenly Courts…
The Sea God had only been rewarded by the Heavenly Emperor. In the future, he would protect the Four Seas and take care of the fishermen who were fishing.
He also announced that a portrait of the Heavenly Emperor would be hung in the Sea God Sect’s temples in the future. The Heavenly Emperor was the leader of the immortals. He controlled all the immortals…
The crying in the Sea God Ceremony quickly disappeared. The people cheered and praised the Heavenly Emperor. When Ao Yi rushed out of the black cloud, his ten-thousand-feet-long dragon body flew into the sky. He swooped down at Li Changshou from the sky and shrunk his body, turning into a hundred-feet-long dragon that landed at Li Changshou’s feet.
The azure dragon let out a deep cry. “Brother Sect Master!”
Li Changshou shook his head slightly to express his rejection. However, the azure dragon stubbornly stuck its head down and put Li Changshou on its head.
Then, the azure dragon carried Li Changshou and flew in the sky. It attracted thousands of dragons and danced in the South Ocean for a long time.
Unfortunately, Li Changshou was dressed in a long robe. He did not have a mighty armor or helmet, and he did not have a shiny metal fork in his hand.
Otherwise, it would be impossible to match it with a paragraph of “Snowflakes flutter – The north wind blows ~”
At that moment, Ao Yi’s cultivation level was equivalent to the mid-stage Heaven Immortal realm of the human Qi Refinement cultivators.
That made Li Changshou sigh. A race that relied on their bloodline to increase their strength was completely unreasonable.
The cultivation of the human race required one to comprehend the Great Dao, but the dragon race only needed to activate their bloodline…
There was endless envy.
After flying in the sky above the South Ocean for a while, Li Changshou jumped onto the cloud. Ao Yi’s dragon body shone with golden light. He transformed into a human and jumped to Li Changshou’s side. He grinned in embarrassment…
Li Changshou frowned and said, “Why are you still the same when you’re in human form?”
Ao Yi looked down at his young figure and felt conflicted. He whispered, “Perhaps it’s because the nightmare from when I was young has yet to fade…”

“Uh.” Li Changshou raised his hand and patted Ao Yi’s shoulder. “Don’t pay too much attention to these. This figure is not bad. Well… at least you look young. Ao Yi was speechless. He did not know whether to laugh or cry. The sullen-faced old Daoists from back then were nowhere to be found. Ao Yi could not find them even if he wanted to.
The True Dragons and flood dragons that followed behind them flew towards the Sea God Ceremony first. They transformed into human forms and lined up to guard the South Ocean.
Li Changshou rode a cloud and flew towards the ceremony with Ao Yi.
“Brother Sect Master, now that we have the Heavenly Courts’ Deity Positions, what should we do next?”
“You don’t have to do anything else. Wait for your father and the others to come to a conclusion.” “Father and the others should have made a decision.”
Li Changshou said, “In about half a year, I will report to the Heavenly Courts. Do you want to go with me?”
Ao Yi nodded vigorously and said, “Brother, you can call me anytime!”
“The burden on your shoulders will become heavier and heavier in the future,” Li Changshou said. “If you have any worries or uncertainties, you can discuss them with me at any time. Don’t walk into a dead end and be too stubborn.”
“Yes.” Ao Yi smiled and agreed.
The young man’s smile was so clear that Li Changshou felt a little… embarrassed.
The Sea God Ceremony continued.
However, the main course had already passed. Next, it was time for a celebration within the Sea God Sect.
Li Changshou invited the immortals of the three sects to drink tea in the Sea God Temple. He then asked Ao Yi to entertain the guests of the dragon race and the Netherworld to continue watching the celebration.
The Great Daoist Master also put on the air of a “host”. He invited Guang Chengzi, the Mother of Turtle Spirit, Zhao Gongming, Chi Jingzi, and the personal disciples of the Saints and Goddess Wudang, to discuss the Dao with the disciples present.
That was a great thing. It made the immortals of the Chan School and Jie School feel that their trip was worth it.
An expert like Guang Chengzi was also looking forward to it. After all, they only knew that the Great Daoist Master Xuan Du was unfathomable. However, they did not know how profound the Eldest Senior Brother of the sect was…
If they discussed the Dao together, they could more or less understand it.
Hence, the rear hall of the Sea God Temple immediately became the place for preaching the Dao. The Great Daoist Master flicked his sleeve and set up a barrier around the Sea God Temple.
However, Li Changshou slipped away in advance and did not join in the fun.
Although he wanted to listen to the Great Daoist Master’s lecture, he was already on the verge of transcending the tribulation. He was just short of trembling. If he shivered a few times because of the preaching, things would become uncontrollable.
At that moment, the success rate of the Tribulation Transcendence could still be increased. There were still some methods that could be used.
To be safe, Li Changshou did not want to lose because of that one percent of uncertainty…
Men had to learn to control themselves.
As soon as Li Changshou left the Sea God Temple, he heard a voice transmission. “Why don’t you listen to your senior brothers and senior sisters preach the Dao?”
He turned his head and saw Fairy Yun Xiao standing in the clouds. She was dressed in a white dress and had her hair tied up. She looked elegant and ordinary. Her clear eyes reflected her beautiful face.
Li Changshou smiled bitterly.
He said, “The ceremony has yet to end. I, the Sea God, am hiding here and not coming out. I have let down so many devotees who rushed over to offer incense. I really want to hear it.”
Fairy Yun Xiao listened to Li Changshou’s complaints and smiled.
Li Changshou bowed with a Dao salute. Yun Xiao nodded slightly and turned her body to receive the bow.
Li Changshou asked, “Fairy, do you have something to do here?”
“No. I was worried about Big Brother previously, so I followed him here.”
Yun Xiao continued gently, “Big Brother was depressed because he did not receive an invitation from you. He went to Three-Immortal Island yesterday to complain to me, Third Sister, and Fourth Sister.
I thought that Fellow Daoist, you might have something important to do during the celebration of your incense sect. You must have thought about it before deciding not to invite Big Brother.
However, seeing that Big Brother is so depressed, I asked him to come and question you.”
Li Changshou was rendered speechless.
No wonder!
I knew that Master Zhao would be wary of his pride and would not come uninvited. I did not expect…
Li Changshou sighed and said, “Fairy, can you take a walk in the South Ocean? I should explain this properly.”
“Alright.” Yun Xiao nodded slightly. She rode a cloud and walked side by side with Li Changshou. They were three feet apart.
It was really troublesome to deal with his relationship with Zhao Gongming and Yun Xiao.
They could not be hostile to each other, nor could they get too close to each other. They did not want to be implicated by karma or get angry and reckless, thus insulting the Saint.
At that moment, Li Changshou explained briefly that he was just putting on a show for the dragon race to show them the way to heaven. There was no need to invite Senior Zhao Gongming…
Yun Xiao pondered for a while and sighed softly.
She said softly, “Fellow Daoist, you’re right. Brother doesn’t need to appear at such an occasion. I was too rash. I got Big Brother to come over and he provoked the experts of the two sects. We also alarmed Senior Brother Xuan Du.”
Li Changshou praised her in his heart and hurriedly said, “Fairy, you don’t have to blame yourself. From the looks of it, this matter is extremely good. At the same time, it also helped me increase my backing. This will make the Western Sect worry more when they scheme against me.”
Yun Xiao asked softly, “Fellow Daoist, why are you so afraid of the Western Sect?
With Eldest Uncle-Master standing behind you, even if there are two Saints in the Western Sect, they should not make things hard for you.”
Li Changshou’s heart skipped a beat. He decided to say something to Yun Xiao.
He cupped his fists in the air.
Yun Xiao immediately understood. She waved her hand and created a layer of clouds around Li Changshou. Then, she blinked gently, indicating that he could speak freely.
“I have some nonsense to say. Fairy, just take it as a joke.”
Li Changshou sent a voice transmission. “Fairy, in what situation do you think the Saint will attack directly and use his Dharma powers to fight with others?”
Yun Xiao pondered. Before she could reply, Li Changshou continued, “Then, under what circumstances would the Saint attack those who have yet to become Saints? There is also another question. Under what circumstances would the Saint attack the disciples of other Saints? In my opinion, I should not think I am safe and just because I am being protected by the Saints. Those who have yet to become Saints are ultimately just insignificant figures. I should guard against them. I must not be careless. I cannot be in a hurry.”
Yun Xiao could not help but fall into deep thought.
Li Changshou sighed in his heart. He did not know how his words would affect Fairy Yun Xiao. He did not know if he could make her restrain herself in the Great God-Conferment Tribulation in the future…
When Yun Xiao left, she thanked Li Changshou. She seemed to have understood something, but she also seemed to be thinking.
She had originally come here to take a look. She did not go to discuss the Dao because she wanted to leave as soon as possible. However, she had parted ways with Li Changshou above the South Ocean and chatted for a while.
Li Changshou watched as Fairy Yun Xiao’s figure disappeared into the distance. For some reason, he felt relieved and happy.
He had proven again that the detection ability of the little golden fork beside his essence soul was limited.
At that moment, he had only chased for 7,000 kilometers when Fairy’s back disappeared from his sight…
It should be related to my own strength.
Li Changshou smiled in his heart. He still had to spend some time to develop the function of ‘divine power’ later.
Li Changshou’s lips twitched as his gaze shifted to the vicinity of the Sea God Ceremony.
The dragon race was really fast this time.
Chests of treasures had already been transported over. This time, he even brought hundreds of beautiful maidservants to celebrate the Sea God’s “gifts”.
How could he give it away openly!?!
Ahem, I definitely won’t accept this gift!
Li Changshou really wanted to ask if the maidservants could be exchanged for materials used for array formations…
At that moment, the hundreds of maidservants not only made Li Changshou worried, but also made the guests from the Netherworld, who did not have much presence, feel troubled.
Ox-head was squatting in a corner with a few experts from the Magi race. He looked at the dragon race’s gift-giving team on the coast and felt conflicted.
“The old guys from the dragon race are really fast. We were just beginning to study how to curry favor with the Sea God when they sent gifts over.”
“Marshal, what should we do? The Netherworld is so poor that we can’t give out any treasures. The female Magi are all as strong as hammers. They can’t even be sent out as gifts.”
Ox-head gritted his teeth and whispered, “Can’t we just give out our specialties? Hmph! There are many beauties from the Sea Clan in the sea. Don’t we have beautiful female ghosts in the Netherworld? Go, send someone to catch a few hundred ferocious female ghosts that can’t reincarnate!”
The other experts’ eyes lit up.

Saga of Fallen Kings, Book I: The Revenant Prince
The Philosopher King once conquered the known world, his power seemingly unlimited and his armies inexhaustible. Since that time his might has slowly unravelled, and his once steadfast empire has begun to crack, splinter and devour itself. In the isolated Southern Realms, where even magic has abandoned them, none of that matters. For years it has been filled with warring kingdoms, where as many kings die to the blade as to old age, and constant battles tear apart the land. When one such kingdom invades its old enemy, the King and his heir, Prince Caden, are killed. Unable to accept the loss of his family Prince Arian is broken, and when the Philosopher King stretches out his hand in aid, Arian takes it without a second thought. When Caden wakes from death, he's different. His eyes and soul have changed, and he finds a world filled with friends who no longer trust he's even human. Suddenly thrust onto the throne and indebted to the Philosopher King, Caden has no choice but to keep going - he must finish what his father started, and try to survive the machinations of the figure who now owns his fealty. Meanwhile something beyond death stirs for him, desiring nothing more than to drag him back into its embrace. Author's Note: This story used to be known as "A King of his Own", but after some consideration I have decided to rebrand it. The first reason is that I was growing increasingly dissatisfied with the title. The second is that I have come increasingly to view this story as a 'saga' containing multiple 'books' rather than one long, continuous publication, and as I did so I realized that as I was quickly getting to a point in the story where I wanted the first 'book' to end. This doesn't mean I'm going back on the things I said below - they're just going to continue in the next book of the Saga of Fallen Kings. :) Also, be aware that I do plan to edit this at some point. Though I take care to squash out any obvious errors when I proof-read, and do simple edits in that process, at some point I'm almost certainly going to do large edits that might significantly change parts of the story. Old author's notes: This started as a completely random writing session. There was no purpose or direction, but as I kept typing an entire world began to form in my mind that I knew I had to write about. My plan is to turn this story into a veritable medieval fantasy epic that spans an entire world, follows multiple character and storylines, and takes place over many years. The story has quite a grounded, almost 'realistic' start, but many more fantastical elements will be introduced, expanded upon and become central to the narrative. I have ideas for this story that make me genuinely excited and I hope you enjoy my work as much as I enjoy writing it, and join me on what will hopefully become a truly massive fantasy epic. If you do enjoy this story please consider following, rating and leaving a review. I'm also happy to answer any questions or comments you have. RELINQUISH
Sometimes I wonder why the world isn't decorated with something as cool as magic... Why can't we manipulate the laws of the world? Why does the story about God sound too fake to be believed? Why the hope for this world to be saved from the bottom of everyone's heart can never be fulfilled... Then I landed on each conclusion from each of those questions... That humans are the most cunning, meanest and stupidest creatures who are most desperately expected to not have any power including magic itself. That it is not God that we should believe in, because they themselves do not believe in how disgusting human nature really is. That everyone's hope is not for the world to be saved, but for the world to be destroyed in order to save their own selves. That the world from the beginning, was not meant to be saved... (I frequently revise and update the use of sentences in the previous chapters without disturbing the original storyline. so sometimes it takes me a little longer to publish a new chapter.) I have the same novel posted on another website (Webnovel.com , creativenovels.com) with the same name (RELINQUISH)
