Black Tech Internet Cafe System Chapter 628 – Even Master Assassins Can’t Pass This Mystical Realm
Translator: Noodletown Translations Editor: Noodletown Translations
People couldn’t preach their beliefs in the nation if they couldn’t open the gates.
Luther believed that the mystical realm was an excellent item that would help them move into the elf clan. After all, the elves had no reason to refuse it.
This was the first and the most important step which would eventually give them the opportunity to obtain the treasures that they wanted in this rich and beautiful land which had never been exploited before.
I’ll amaze these ignorant elves with the great advancements that we have achieved on the continent. Luther squinted his small eyes and smiled. He seemed to foresee the scene in which this rich land gradually submitted to them in St. Heinz’ subsequent plans, and the elves called for the God of Radiant Light Judgement. “This is our best training method for guards, and we’ve designed and optimized plans to handle all kinds of emergencies. Now, is there anyone who wants to try it? I’m sure you’ll like it.”
At this moment, many elves had gathered on the square. In the past, they had seen humans coming here to sell their products, but none of them were this big in scale.
Like favored treasures of nature, the elves were all exquisite and beautiful. These audience members created a gorgeous scene while they stood on the square and watched the show.
“By the way,” Luther said, “I’m sure that you don’t know those dark spiritual spells, so we’ve prepared all kinds of stealth spiritual spell scrolls for the people who intend to play as assassins.”
“As for the knights, we will only use the spiritual spells that you’re familiar with, including the Radiant Light Detection, Energy Resonance, and Darkness Dispel instead of godly spells to counter the stealth spells. To be fair, we can put the venue in the forest.”

“This is…” Elder Sewell was a bit embarrassed, thinking that the conditions were too good to decline. Although assassins were at the disadvantage, things would be different when the battle venue was put in the forest.
“We’ll try it!” A small team of elves stood out.
“Please.” Luther gestured gracefully.
…
“The cultivation mystical realm in that shop is truly interesting.” A small team of elves was advancing slowly along the winding river toward the center of the city.
Elf Girl Sala still looked groggy since she hadn’t slept well last night; she gave a very unladylike yawn. “Yawn…”
Noticing her teammates’ baffled glances, the elf girl who always took care of herself to maintain a ladylike image instantly woke up.
“Yeah. I hope that we’ll go and visit that shop again when we have time.” The Team Captain looked at the blue sky reminiscently. “I do miss the spicy sticks. They are an ultimate delicacy.”
He brought out a bottle of iced red tea and took a sip of it with great enjoyment.
“I heard that that despicable Luther has come to our elf clan,” Sala said in displeasure, “This big liar did his best to belittle the people in another continent. Instead, I only saw courage, elegance, and power in those people.”
“Ugh? Why are they all running toward that direction?” An elf young man beside Sala pointed forward and asked curiously, “What’s happening?”
Soon, they pushed their way into the inner circle of the crowd and heard a wave of exclamations before they could stand still.
In the Spiritual Spell Visual Projection, the elves had been butchered by the team of knights wearing godly palace armor.
With a huge sword in hand, one knight killed the last elf, and the blood sprayed all over the projection.

“Are they… the Elder Guard Team?!” Sala yelled in alarm.
“My goodness!”
“So powerful…”
“How can it be?!”
“This is the third attempt. Do you want to have one more try?” While looking at the result of the battle on the screen, Luther said with a laugh, “You sent the Elder Guard Team. This time, will you try it yourself, Elder?”
“What is this despicable guy up to this time?” The newly arrived elf team members frowned at the scene before them.
“Regardless of how you hide yourselves, you’ll always leave behind a clue.”
On the screen, the knight walked under a big tree.
“Look. He can still detect a very tiny fluctuation of a spiritual spell. This one hid himself well but he still was discovered by our knights,” Luther explained as if these elves, regardless of how they hid themselves, were just a joke to him.
“Then, they’ll engage in upfront battle.” Luther continued to explain from his experience, “Regardless of how the elves attack, the knights can immediately find the best formation and combat techniques to use to fight back.”
He said proudly when he got to this point, “I can say with pride that our mystical realm is absolutely the best in the whole world.”
At this moment, St. Dulan activated a Spiritual Spell Visual Projection to show the scenes sent back by Luther.
“How are things going with the Elf Clan?” St. Heinz asked mildly.
“Hahaha!” While watching the Spiritual Spell Visual Projection, Dulan laughed and said, “From the looks of it, things are going very well for us. All the elves watching the mystical realm are stunned by our creation. Maybe the news has even spread to the Elf Royal Palace by now.”
“I wonder… if the Elf Queen Her Majesty will be angry about this,” Dulan laughed heartily.
…
Meanwhile, a hearty laugh sounded on the square in White Creek City. “I invite anyone here to check out our perfect defense system. I dare to say that even the most powerful assassin can’t leave this mystical realm alive. Yes, the most powerful assassin will definitely become a corpse in this mystical realm. Do you guys want to train in this mystical realm…”
“Nonsense!” A furious voice came from the crowd.
Sala pushed out from the crowd and said angrily with her hands on her waist, “The method shown in this mystical realm can’t block any real assassins!”
“…”
Everyone looked over and saw that it was a young elf girl.
“Isn’t this the Snow Pigeon Team? How come they are here?”
Luther’s small eyes squinted. “It’s easy to bluff. Little Girl, it’s a pity that there’re no real master assassins among us. Otherwise, I will show you how they are defeated in this mystical realm.”

Sword System Academia
2/17 NOTICE: I'm putting this on hiatus, possibly permanently. I didn't want to spam with an "update chapter", so hopefully here and in the story blurb will get enough eyeballs. There are a couple reasons for ending SSA for now. 1) I wrote the next chapter but wasn't happy with it. I've been less and less satisfied with SSA's quality the more I thought about it. Part of the reason is... 2) I am seriously thinking about trying to publish some novels to help pay the bills, since I don't have my other source of income anymore. I have never asked for anything from SSA readers, no money, not even a review or rating. SSA is written for fun to amuse myself, primarily, and I would kind of feel bad actually charging someone money for something as unserious as that. I don't think it is good enough to ask anything in return. To use an analogy from music, SSA is more like a jam session with a bunch of friends. You're just chiling and having fun playing some music. I mean, if you are Mozart or even Eminem, your jam session is good enough to sell, but for an amateur beginner like myself, haha, no. If I want to publish something, I feel like I need to go the proper route of practice and rehearsals, which might be more similar to a classical concert performance. With SSA, I work from worldbuilding notes and a loose outline, but what you are essentially getting is the first draft with lots of so-called pantsing. Pushing out a web novel like this also means it is very difficult to go back and improve things without breaking everything else downstream. I wanted to try this "jamming" approach, as it was a good way to teach me about another aspect of writing, but to move forward, I think I need to hone my "classical" techniques, which emphasize rewriting, or at least, revising outlines. 3) While I intend to try to make $$$, my actual current goal is to "get gud". I've spent a lot of time recently trying to understand the self-publishing industry, and I'm pretty sure I can make some money by using short-term strategies with my current amateur skill level. But I've seen too many authors come and go/burnout, and really, the only way that I think I can enjoy writing and still make money on a long-term basis is to become a better writer. And the next step for me, which I haven't done much before, is to spend more time on rewriting and outlines. That is pretty much antithetical to the way SSA is developing. I've always been kind of 20/80 plotting/pantsing, but I want to spend a lot more time outlining before I even start writing. SSA jam sessions don't really fit my goal anymore. If you're curious about what's next, read on... Among other regrets, I regret not finishing SSA. It's the first story I've dropped, but then again, it's the first web novel I've attempted, so I suppose that's not a surprise. I don't think traditional web novel formats suit me that well. The whole SSA story I had loosely planned (beyond a first book or major arc) is way too large as well. Big story = good for neverending webnovel with Patreons, bad for penniless and fickle writer like me. I am currently outlining a complete trilogy to another story in great detail. I want the story to end concisely, and I also want the chance to really spend a lot of time on the full outline to spot pacing problems, character issues, lost themes, and so on. I'll still share this story on RR. What I intend to do is finish book 1, flash-publish the whole thing here for a few weeks, then publish on the big Zon. Repeat for books 2 and 3. The upcoming story will be about crafting heroes. The backdrop is an isekai-like setting, where elves will summon humans to their world as heroes, but the whole hero crafting business is still in its infancy. The elven mage researchers are figuring out how to imbue heroes with power, while the heroes are trying to figure out how to use the powers that they gain. Humans are the best hero templates because they are blank and have no intrinsic magic. Or at least that what the elves thought. The human MC has his own secrets... There will be some similarities with litrpgs, but I would call it more a progression fantasy or gamelit story. For example, the stats are very low, at least initially. Say we have a stat called Str. Going from Str = 1 to Str = 2 is a huge deal. Also, going from Dex = 0 to Dex = 1 is an even bigger deal. I guess you could call it a "low-stat litrpg", haha. Also, the heroes won't be gaining stats simply by killing things or leveling up. You can't increase stats arbitrarily, either. There will be rules to how stats can increase, and how they work with each other. The elven mages will be figuring out these rules in order to craft stronger and stronger heroes. Some inspiration will be from cultivation magic systems, but there won't be overt cultivation, at least for now. A theme I really want to explore is the idea of interactions. That includes things like hero crafter vs hero, tactics vs strategy, skill synergies, racial interactions (dwarves, elves, etc), and son. Yeah, so hero crafting. I'm super excited about this project and venturing into publishing. If you want to check out the upcoming story, you can follow my RR author profile to see when it drops here. Finally... THANK YOU TO EVERYONE! I'm very sorry that SSA is stopping, but I hope at least some of you will find the next story at least as enjoyable, if not more. Thanks to all the readers who gave SSA a shot. Big hug or solid fistbump to all of you, whichever you prefer! I hope this message is not a downer but an upper, because I am psyched!! -purlcray -------------- BLURB: Talen, youngest Master of the Koroi, makes his way to the Empire's capital to salvage his clan's fate. But the bustling city has few opportunities for the traditionalist. For the old sword clans are fading. With the rise of alchemy, gold can purchase strength that ordinarily took years of training to cultivate. Sword artists, once rare and accomplished, are quickly growing in number, especially among the wealthy noble class. Even with such alchemy, though, no one has advanced to the rank of Grandmaster in countless years. Talen's true dream is to walk the path of a sword artist to the very end while fulfilling his clan duties. And then the Swordgeists return, fabled founders of all sword arts, gods who had touched the world long ago and vanished. These myths turned into reality warn of a coming threat. Alongside this warning, they issue an invitation to the Sword System Academy, a path to power beyond the mortal realm. But first, they will hold an entrance exam... Story notes:Sword System Academia blends elements of western and asian fantasy such as xianxia and litrpg. I took parts from different genres I enjoyed and twisted them into my own creation. There will be an explicit system, both of the litrpg kind and the hard(ish) magic kind, but it is embedded within an academic structure that will develop over the course of the story. This is my attempt to design a unique type of system, the System Academia.

Tales of a Grim World.
Ancient prophecies say that once every thousand years, one shall rise to bring about a new age of darkness. A harbinger of evil, a being born for the sole purpose of sowing misery and disgrace. Through them, the world shall know of war, famine, pestilence and death— the four seals that herald the end of times. Besieged by the maws of evil, humankind shall suffer in agony as they watch everything they once knew be unmade before them. To oppose such a being, the whole world has had to stand united, in the battles that came to be historically known as the Great Holy Wars. Guided by the Saintess of Irithel, brave heroes coming from the four corners of the world had to sacrifice their lives in order to fight against the Harbinger and cast away the darkness. Our story begins in the year 578, a bit over six hundred years since the end of the fifth holy war. In the kingdom of Valtia, a small nation belonging to the Union of Western Kingdoms, an urgent missive bearing the royal seal arrives at the hands of Earl William Taylor. Though it might still be almost half a millennia too early for another Harbinger to be born, dark clouds already loom over the northern continent of Gram, as many bizarre events start taking place. Follow the story of our main characters as they struggle to survive in a grim, unforgiving world. _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Warning: This work is intended for mature audiences and contains adult scenes and heavy descriptions of violence and gore. If you are not over the age of 18, turn back right now. You have been warned.
