Black Tech Internet Cafe System Chapter 613 – Assassin’s Creed I
Translator: Noodletown Translations Editor: Noodletown Translations
Seeing people swarming into the shop. Mr. Fang knew that it was probably time to expand the space inside the shop again.
As for when to release the game…
He glanced at the task list and found that the requirement for assassins visiting the shop had been met.
Right now, many players who had come for Assassin’s Creed began to play Resident Evil 2 while waiting for the release of the new game. Some of the visitors couldn’t even squeeze into the door. Besides, many passersby also tried to get in due to curiosity.
From the looks of it, after the space was expanded tomorrow, the other part of the task requirement would be met.
On the next day, even though the shop’s capacity had been expanded to 1,000 computers, there were way more customers compared to the day before.
Different from the old shops, the people here were only mildly surprised at the expansion of the space in the shop. They only thought that the shop owner had a powerful background and weren’t shocked.
In fact, the Alchemist Union had a similar setup. If necessary, the Judgement Godly Place could achieve this as well. As for the Royal Clan of the Elves, they had their own independent small plane.
Therefore, when Sala entered the shop, she didn’t pay much attention to the space expansion.
Smoothly, she bought a bowl of instant noodles and poured in hot water before adding a sausage in it. Then, she looked at the despicable shop owner and thought, Will you release Assassin’s Creed today?
Harrison came into the shop early today. As an assassin who grew up in the slums, he never lacked the character of hard work.
With short gray hair, this man looked to be about 50 years old. Dressed plainly, he looked like a simple farmer instead of an assassin if he didn’t talk.

In fact, everyone who escaped from the intricate traps in the godly palace after that failed assassination attempt were all excellent assassins.
Comparatively, Elina, who was sitting across from him on a couch looked quite different. She always sat straight and gracefully, giving people the impression that she would never do anything impolite in any occasion.
Of course, no one knew that this red-haired woman who was busy eating spicy sticks was the famous ‘Rose of Moon’ who had successfully assassinated a high-rank priest.
“Ah-!” While she ate spicy sticks, she heard Sala’s exclamation.
Sala had just noticed the words [Trailer 2] had been erased from yesterday’s announcement of [Assassin’s Creed Trailer 2] on the small blackboard.
They were replaced by the number [1], and the announcement now read [Assassin’s Creed 1].
“Ahh-!” She yelled again as if she couldn’t believe what she had seen. “Assassin’s Creed is released?!”
“What?!” Elina also exclaimed on the spot, almost dropping her spicy sticks. She had been sleepless last night with excitement after watching the trailer, wishing that she could sleep on the floor of the shop until Assassin’s Creed was released. To her astonishment, the game was released today!
“Really?!” Many people looked over in disbelief.
Meanwhile, the players in the old shops were also eagerly anticipating the release of Assassin’s Creed since they hadn’t had new single-player games for a long time.
At the same time, they encountered trouble on the highest difficulty level of Resident Evil 2. Some of them could pass the ordinary difficulty level with a dagger, but not the high difficulty level. Trying to pass the highest difficulty level with only a dagger was too depressing.
That was why Nalan Hongwu was a bit idle these days. Song Qingfeng was even more so.
As for Mo Xian and other people of the Nanhua Faction, they were eager to be the first players of any new games.

Hearing the news that the new game was released, they immediately jumped up from the couches and shouted, “Activate it for me! Activate it for me!”
Jiang Xiaoyue also wanted to play the new game. “Boss, I want to play it too!”
The task for the Assassin’s Creed series contained several points. After the game was unlocked, the System showed the requirements for unlocking the sequels after Assassin’s Creed 1.
At this moment, Fang Qi was looking at the information on the System Interface.
After finishing the first task, Mr. Fang found that he not only activated the right to publish Assassin’s Creed 1, but he also got an assassin-shaped prototype badge.
[Prototype Badge: When a game, a movie, or a TV Series has other prototype characters, it can only be activated when all the prototype badges are collected…]
There was more information about prototype badges underneath.
“What’s this thing?” Mr. Fang continued to read, trying to find out the function of this thing. Meanwhile, many people had entered the game.
The first scene that they saw was an image consisting of many genetic sequences which finally formed a round logo.
“Ubisoft?” As a legit researcher, Li Haoran looked at it curiously. “So many genetic sequences? Is this senior named Ubisoft an expert in unlocking the genetic locks?”
By now, the players were quite familiar with the words ‘genetic locks’ even though none of them had truly unlocked it.
Before them was a medieval city. They saw Altair was leaping down from a bell tower to kill his target; they had watched this scene in the trailer.
However, this scene was more detailed compared to that in the trailer, showing how he assassinated the target, used visual illusions to deceive the pursuing soldiers, killed a soldier who was alone, and then vanished into the crowd.
For Sala who had no experience with assassinations, it didn’t look extraordinary, but Elina’s eyes lit up. In the system version, the soldiers were no different from their counterparts in the real world, completely unlike dull NPCs. It was not as easy to dodge as in the original version.
With some simple steps, he had dodged everyone’s eyes in a matter of seconds before finding a chance to leave without a fuss. If the assassins in the real world had possessed such skills, the godly palace wouldn’t have caught any of them in Gray Eagle City even if they botched the mission.
After this interlude, they entered the game.
Instead of the city that they had seen a moment ago, their vision before them turned pale grey as if they had put on a pair of big goggles.
For one moment, they found themselves in that medieval city. In the next moment, their vision turned pale grey again. They felt like they were in a dream.
Then, they saw a huge lab. Hearing their conversation, the players were amazed. “Can this object retrieve the ancestral memories stored in the bloodline?”
“It’s a projector which renders genetic memories in three dimensions.”
What if I told you the human body not only housed an individual’s memories, but the memories of his ancestors as well?
“Genetic memory, if you will. Migration, hibernation, reproduction… How do animals know when and where to go? What to do?”
“Ugh?” Jiang Xiaoyue froze. “Can I display the memories of my ancestors?”
Li Haoran was also astonished. !!?? I can’t believe that this little game about assassins holds such a piece of cutting-edge black technology!
After all, everyone in this world had powerful ancestors if they traced back far enough into the ancient times.
The players in the new shop were at a loss for words.
They felt puzzled as they couldn’t understand what was going on, but they were awed at the same time!

Dungeon Core Chat Room.
This is a slower-paced "experiment and dungeon building" web novel that tries to use the idea of peer-to-peer communication with Dungeon Cores instead of Dungeon to slave monster communication to break up the detailed dungeon building. Rank 1 description: (minimum met for system initialization...detailed description as follows) Each race was given a system by the gods to make up for their shortcomings and balance their place in this world. Humans: Abysmally bad at understanding and using magic unable to use more than the lowest of magic were given the "Skill System" magic in the form of premade skills with use, study, and mastery tied to experience. Elves: Intuitively understand magic and have long lives leading to vast knowledge and skill in their chosen fields. However, as a species, they have nearly zero sex drive and less than low fertility, so they were gifted the "World Tree System" with experience gained through the care of natural areas – gifting the chance of children to increase their numbers without dirty copulation. All “natural” or “wild” monsters are given an "Evolution system" designed around killing and consuming as many creatures as possible, slowly increasing strength and, at thresholds, allowing mutations to alter them multiple times. Dungeon cores are different. Unlike humans, they can see, manipulate and live off mana. Unlike Elves, they naturally crystallize after extended periods of time in high mana level areas. However, they cannot easily move or communicate and typically go insane without companionship. As a species other than the odd eccentric they are unimaginative. Brute forcing solutions without the drive to truly innovate. Thus they have been gifted with the "Dungeon Connection System" a magical version of the internet accessible by their peers that allows them to barter and sell: bait, traps, monsters, and knowledge, as well as entertain each other with “adventure streams” using exciting recorded battles and humorous reels of arrogant chumps biting off more than they can chew to often fatal effects. This is the casual story of a dungeon unluckily spawned far from potential adventurers forced to innovate beyond its peers to find its place in this world. Rank 2 Description: Justification. I've been on a dungeon core kick for months and while I love the genre – it's sparse with entries. Often the forced conflict gets repetitive and frantic solving of threats "power levels" the protagonist to god levels to progress the plot – taking away the nice steady progression fantasy I'm looking for. (Progression in this story is linked to how strong of monsters/traps/whatever he can create not his "level"...this is demonstrated by some of his newer monsters beating his older monsters not with discrete "this monster has 10 attack this one has 40") Additionally, the focus on 3rd parties with their drama takes away from the reason I’m reading dungeon core novels in the first place – I'm looking for magical crafting, experimentation and kingdom building – not defence from higher and higher levelled enemies looking to steal/destroy/control the MC. This novel is kind of just me writing the story I wish I could read. I like thinking about the experimentation that can be done in fantasy settings using 'mana' as an excuse to make up rules and try to keep them internally consistent. IE once I define how a rule works, I'm going to commit to keeping it – no breaking hard truths I've given when it's convenient, even if it backs me into a corner. Hopefully, that should make the story interesting to read even if it's SOL and less action-oriented. There will be problems to solve and a clear progression in strength (of created monsters and knowledge) however due to not wanting to force conflict for the sake of conflict the general theme will be closer to slice of life with few action sequences and no overarching goal so please keep that in mind when picking this up as the genre is not for everyone. Finally, I have a clear goal of what I want from this story (not an endless romp but a series of arcs and then a conclusion that's a couple of dozen medium-sized chapters long) I want to commit to finishing it or at least bringing it to a point of rest. I hate all the engaging stories that stop with a “hiatus” indefinitely so in the event I lose motivation I'll work to end this even if the ending becomes rushed/unsatisfying just to give a sense of closure. I’m planning on including several polls in terms of direction and taking feedback heavily into account if I get enough readers (but may choose to ignore it if it deviates too far from the direction I want to take this as in feedback like: “The MC needs a cartoonishly evil arch-enemy that wants to enslave him and force the mc to pump out magic items” or “the MC needs to make a body and learn teleportation then live with humans” will get shot down without consideration.)

Changement : Version Face [French]
Notice: This story is in French, not in english, mainly because of my poor english. I may translate it later if I get better, and hopefully I will. - Author's note: this story is a concept. During the first chapter, the main character is faced with a major decision, which will change his life forever, and, not knowing what to do, he decide to play heads or tails, and let fate choose for him. And so there will be two versions of this story, one for each of the result, and their consequences for the main character, as well as all those around him. Here, he got heads.
