Black Tech Internet Cafe System Chapter 551 – The Outlanders Who Were Stupefied by the Opening Cinematics
Translator: Noodletown Translations Editor: Noodletown Translations
The advanced civilization on this land had been destroyed many years ago.
In the ancient war, immortals had died, and the continent was shattered.
In the eyes of the people who regarded themselves as advanced existences, this barbaric civilization that was just emerging from waste was something beneath their notice.
For them, these people were similar to a group of apes and primitive humans.
“Lady Jessica!” Respectfully, a maid stood beside a blonde woman who was lounging lazily on a big chair covered in fur pelts. Her crimson eyes oozed wickedness and a blood-thirsty aura.
She stretched a bit as if she were not here to battle but to take a holiday.
For her, a skirmish of this level couldn’t be called a war.
It was only an easy one-sided suppression; nothing more.
“The family actually sent me here for this task; I wonder if they have no regard for my abilities.” She snorted and shook her head. “Forget it. I’ll just take it as a holiday.”
“Let me see what antics and stupid things these ignorant natives are doing now.” In these people’s eyes, the people of the Spiritual State were a group of ignorant bumpkins.
She cast a spiritual spell leisurely, and a scene of Yuanyang City appeared before her.
“So many people?!” She froze for a moment because there hadn’t been so many people in the city when she checked last time…
What’s happening?!
All kinds of giant horizontal posters were on the streets and in the alleys of Yuanyang City.
[All Participants, Warm Welcome to Yuanyang City!]
The crowds almost blocked the streets.
She even heard a girl shouting in the crowd, “Ah-! New Snow! You’re gorgeous!”
“Look! That’s Academy Master Gu! Academy Master Gu, show the super psionic lightning matrix again!”

“Academy Master’s Protoss is unrivaled!”
“Look over there! Liu Ningyun, the Nanhua Fairy! My goodness! She is even more beautiful than in the game!”
“Over there! He’s said to be the most talented young man! He looks so young!”
“It’s said that he’s only 12 years old! Hahaha!”
The venue of the competition was the Spiritual State. Since the teleportation array between Half City and Jiuhua City had been built, people of Half City could travel to the Spiritual State from Jiuhua City. There was no issue for transportation.
Jessica’s jaw almost dropped as her mouth was wide open. “What are they doing?!”
With us at your door, can’t you act frightened and create that atmosphere?!
“Lady Jessica, here is your 1,000-year-old jade melon.” The maid handed her a plate of neatly placed spiritual melon slices which looked like green jade.
“Okay…” Picking up a slice distractedly, she began to watch what was going on.
…
The virtual E-Sports competition venue in Qzone could accommodate about 40,000 people, which meant that all the players in the three shops after the expansions could enter and have seats.
“Master… How come there are so many people?!” Zhuge Yu gaped at the scene before her with widened eyes. The circular audience stands surrounding the arena were crammed with people.
– Meanwhile, in Liuyun Daoist Palace –
In the central square, the disciples of Liuyun Daoist Palace each carried a small futon and sat down.
– In the Nanhua Faction of Morning Star Sea Realm –
A huge screen created by a spiritual spell appeared in the sky above the square, and the disciples could see everything on it clearly.
“Senior Brother… What’s this?” A young boy who had just entered the faction asked in a low voice.
“This is E-Sports that only the senior brothers and sisters can get in touch with! Hush! Don’t make any noise! It’s said that even the major factions in the Spiritual State are watching it! Senior Sister Liu and the others are fighting for the glory for our faction!”

“Awesome!” The young boy looked eager. “If I cultivate hard, can I enter this E-Sports in the future, just like them?”
“You must cultivate hard! Remember, all participants in the E-Sports competition are powerful!”
“Okay!”
Kevin was one of the leaders in this expedition. The family had sent them to clear this newly-found land, which was lost in the ancient times, and they planned to use this place to develop new energy sources and store resources.
At this moment, he came in with a copy of the plan, intending to discuss with the others about the preparations of this battle.
“Knock! Knock! Knock!”
“Come in!”
The blond young man walked in and saw Jessica watching something intently with a slice of melon in her hands.
“What are you watching?!”
Bewildered, Kevin watched the scene before Jessica.
At this moment, the opening cinematics had begun playing in the virtual arena in Qzone. The other major broadcasting platforms were showing it on the livestream as well.
Before Jessica was the Chongxu Dao Discussion Field in Yuanyang City.
The field was crammed with cultivators and warriors from all over the Spiritual State.
The lights dimmed. In the darkness, a clock ticked as the huge screen showed an ancient gear engraved with some ancient characters – Dungeon Fighter Online.
It represented the dreams of millions of adventurers.
Each adventurer who came here all had their own ambitious goals that were perhaps unattainable.
Suddenly, a sword beam lit up in the darkness.
[Does swordsmanship have a limit?] On the screen, this sentence showed when a blade master pulled out a longsword and awakened as a grandmaster.
This simple sentence resonated with the hunger in the hearts of the warriors who used swords; this sentence voiced their life-long pursuits, and they were excited by it.
“The dark night gives me dark eyes, but why do they emit such dazzling lights?” Before them, the silent eye suppressed darkness with his jade-like sword beam.
It was silent, but the words that were as radiant as the sword beam were louder than shouts.
“F…!” Zong Wu almost cussed when he saw this short sentence since it expressed the desire in the hearts of all asura players.
On the screen, the hellbringer with blood-red eyes and blood-covered hands looked like a lunatic.
…
[God, please forgive me…]
The priest on the screen turned into a demon, but the fire of revenge would never die down!
One after another, the stunning figures appeared before the audience.
The opening cinematics were divided into two parts. The first part was about Dungeon Fighter Online, and the other was about StarCraft.
“The Queen! Look! The Queen of Blades!”
Outside a huge fortress that appeared endless, groups of flying dragon-like creatures flew up like a black curtain in the sky. Under the fortress walls, cannons fired like blooming flowers, and the tank army of humans fired in huge waves, pushing dust into the air like a curtain.
On the screen, a battlecruiser that was as huge as an ancient mountain crashed down from the sky, shattering the whole city. While the unimaginable, epic battle scenes appeared before them, the audience fell silent and stared at the screen with widened eyes.
“What’s this?!”
The melon in Jessica’s hand already dropped to the ground.
Holding his plans, Kevin froze on the spot in a daze.
Damn it! What was the thing that teleported in the void?!
When did this grand war happen? How come we don’t know about that?!
How come cultivators and warriors in this world have reached such high realms?!
They are even chasing after the ultimate realm of swordsmanship?!
They all turned ashen-faced.

Loremaster: A Progression Dark Fantasy
Serena had died a Celestial. One of the few who were meant to rule over the vast multiverse. Yet she was inexplicably reborn. Carrying the knowledge of her past life, she seeks to do what her kind does best... rule. Yet, the multiverse isn't what it once was. Mortals aspire to become what the celestials once were, through levels or classes or cultivation. New things that didn't and shouldn't exist. And these mortals are only the beginning of what stands in her way. [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] Warning: There will be times that morally suspect themes happen. While I have little to no intention of showing them (especially during a Writathon) things like abuse of all kinds (neglect, emotional, mental, spiritual, physical and sexual) can or be implied to have happened. These are played to the horrors such things are, and are treated with the seriousness and aftereffects it would cause. Progression + Cultivation + GameLit + Multiverse + Slow Build + Slow Burn + Worldbuilding + Grimbright + Multiple POVs = Insanity for all. This the first time I am seriously writing an original story. I will be Writing each book in Parts/Arcs (3-6) with mini arcs (3-6 in each arc). Each Mini-arc is 5-14 or so chapters. I like progression stories and I've always wanted to try and write one like a few of the web novels that inspired me. The Game Lit aspects will be more in the background, with focus on other details like dungeons, monsters, loot, morality, and so on. There will be focus on various kinds of progression. Updates 3-5 days a week (Usually weekdays). Chapters will be roughly 1000-2500 words and alternate wildly.

Exuperius [DISCONTINUED]
Terravest. The northernmost continent of the world known by many names of legend, but is most commonly reffered to as Athora, has, for eons, served as the land of exiles. Human criminals, dark elves, grayskinned orcs and dwarves that preffer mining with machinery over the traditional pickaxe alike, have come to call this half-frozen hellhole their home. It is a land of great strife, calamity and crisis, where one legendary tale ends only to begin the next, heroes fall down and villains find themselves thrown into lava. Around seventy years ago, a legendary figure appeared out of seemingly nowhere and conquered three human nations, forming a kingdom worthy enough of being called a small empire. However, at the eve of his heirs ascension, the legend breathed his last, leaving this same bloated, chaotic realm without the pillar that kept it together. Already, the carrion nobility, still spiteful for being denied their "rightful" place below the sun, rise up and gather at the court, each eager to consolidate their own power in these troubled times. Tempers flare, power is exercised without restraint and no one expects the hedonistic prince to succeed at keeping the realm together. Alas, as is often the case with such tales, not everything seems to be as it might at first appear and the vain lords of the realm may yet come to regret their carrion will. --- The Content Warnings are there for a good reason. ---

The Core of a Factory
An abandoned steampunk arms factory, in the middle of a conflict torn former state of the Empire it served, gains a soul. This transforms it into a Lord, capable of turning land into power. Beset by enemies on all sides it must figure out how to win the war its creators lost a century ago. This is a progressive Dungeon Core novel (which is to say the core will progress and expand in scale, eventually) across multiple dimensions with different characteristics (e.g. steampunk, magic, mythological). It has rationalist leanings (paragraphs of reasoning) and litrpg leanings (there are stat blocks). The core game mechanical idea is something like "what if different flavors of magic power actually did come from controlling land" and then the story is: "what if there was a flavorless (artifact deck) dungeon core". Chapters will be relatively short (my aim is that in three column format each would fit on a wide screen monitor), the first few chapters - setting up the main character and mechanics - are currently the longest in the entire series. I write chapters in blocks, and then release them one a weekday (M-F; 6 PM GMT, unless RoyalRoad's publish thing screws up) until I run out. There may be a few days of gaps here and there if someone finds an egregious error I have to re-write around or if I am behind. In general though one can read this once a weekend. I may do slight retconns and edits, I'll make sure to put it in an authors note if I do.

Infinity || Dan Smith
Dan is playing a superhero for a new movie. It might come to a shock to the system for old Bastille fans, but he's genuinely happy acting instead of singing. Everyone wishes him well...except for the ones who don't. They're people who think the worst of him because of a past tragedy. After all, the man with many talents, is very familiar with heroes and villains in his own life. This superhero flick called 'Illusion' suits Dan better than his characters suit!
