Black Tech Internet Cafe System Chapter 393 – The Demonic Energy
Translator: Noodletown Translations Editor: Noodletown Translations
Mr. Fang’s process in the game was always faster than the others. Whenever he played Devil May Cry, there were always a large group of people standing behind him to watch.
For cultivators, this game was indeed difficult. Just like the Legend of the Sword and Fairy, the main character in this game possessed powerful sword technique and combat abilities which could be used by the players. However, this wasn’t a game for ordinary people since Dante and the demons’ attack and movement speeds had been restored and altered to their original level.
For example, inside this ‘Temen-ni-gru’ demonic tower, the Gigapede, which was the boss after Cerberus, could control groups of lightning bolts and lightning balls. With this giant demonic centipede’s powerful demonic energy and talent, it took little time to cast spells.
In the original game, the lightning balls moved very slowly, probably less than five meters per second, and it could be easily dodged by any ordinary warriors in the shop, let alone Dante.
However, the lightning balls in the remake version were different. Lightning balls could move at an unimaginable high speed of more than 20,000 kilometers per hour in the real world, so it obviously followed the same speed in the game.
For the cultivators, it was difficult for them to deal with these situations with the methods of warriors.
Although the cultivators couldn’t use these techniques, they were eager to watch Mr. Fang play. Different from the warriors in Jiuhua City who were working hard, practicing their skills, the cultivators in Half City were more interested in watching.
At this moment, Divine Ocean Realm cultivators such as Black Demon and Tang Yuan, ordinary cultivators such as Mo Xian, and even Ning Bi were standing behind Mr. Fang and watching him play, each with a cup of milk tea in their hands.

A quilt also floated in the air. “I… I have high hopes for this guy. He has the presence as a member of our Saint Clan!”
Then, it sipped the milk tea and said, “Damn, why is it so cold?!”
Since Mr. Fang didn’t turn on the livestream, a large group of people gathered behind him.
This devil tower was occupied with many horrid demons, and Dante encountered many battles in there. During the process, he acquired many weapons as well.
For example, there was the Moon Goddess Gun ‘Artemis’, a demonic gun which could fire demonic energy arrows.
The creation principles of this gun were clearly different from that of the modern science guns; it was a real demonic gun.
While the science-based guns in Counter Strike, Resident Evil, and Grand Theft Auto 5 were basic guns, Ebony and Ivory, Artemis, and Lady’s, a heroine in the game, powerful guns such as the multi-functional missile launcher gave the cultivators a clear direction for making advanced weapons.
These firearms each had their own combat style.
For low-level cultivators, regular guns were like god-tier weapons since they consumed little strength and unleashed great power. But for grand cultivators, these weapons could offer little help in major warfare, which was why they rarely used guns in their battles.
However, the situation would change if they could produce the guns and combat styles shown in Devil May Cry 3.
Mr. Fang controlled Dante to move forward while he got even more experienced with the battles in this game.
While his techniques leveled up slowly, he could use many more combat styles, such as the Royalguard Style’s Air Block in mid-air and the Gunslinger Style’s various fancy shooting movesets.
After defeating the two headless knights of fire and ice who were known as Agni and Rudra, Dante acquired the Ice and Fire Dual-Saber which were transformed from these two headless knights.

“These two sabers can even talk?!” The audience was pleasantly surprised when the terrifyingly powerful dual sabers asked Dante to take them with him after being defeated.
Dante was thinking if he should bring them to play. After a moment of consideration, he said, “Okay! But you two are not allowed to speak!”
While he said that, he picked up the dual sabers that were engulfed in red and blue flames respectively. While he used them to strike, the red and blue flames danced in the great hall, forming a huge red-and-blue firestorm!
Exclamations rose from behind Mr. Fang.
The first battle with Vergil was even more astonishing. Vergil wanted to open the demonic tower and the portal connecting the human world and the demon world. As a demon slayer, Dante inherited his parents’ love for humans, and he had a human side to him deep down in his heart even though he didn’t admit it.
Driven by their fates, the twin brothers with opposite personalities began their first battle on the top of the demonic tower.
The soaring demonic tower was so high that it looked like the highest point of the world. It felt like the huge full moon hung beside the demonic tower, looking so near as if one could touch it by reaching out their hands.
“So, this is a so-called cozy family reunion, eh?” Dante was still sarcastic and playful while Vergil looked cold and solemn like a merciless demon with his katana in hand.
Dark clouds drifted over and vaguely covered the moon, and the wind fluttered the hem of his blue windbreaker while saber light flashed!
Yamato’s saber light was brighter than the moonlight, making the moon further away lose its glamour.
Obviously, Vergil was more powerful than Dante, and he revealed a small part of his frightening saber techniques in this battle.
Compared with Dante, Vergil’s saber techniques were more orderly and disciplined. He drew and withdrew his saber like an elegant aristocrat who showed great power with aplomb.
“How come I feel like this guy is more dashing than Dante!”
“Someone is more dashing than Dante?! Where?!”
More people came over.
“So fast!”
Vergil’s katana was not only fast but was able to explode the Hell Vanguard which was hard to kill, causing demonic energy to disperse into the area. Vergil’s saber looked like a death blade!
The audience felt like they were watching a fascinating movie instead of a game.
Of course, since Dante hadn’t learned the Demon Trigger yet, he was no match for Vergil in this battle. However, at the end of the battle, even from the screen, the audience could feel the frightening explosive power that Dante unleashed after he controlled the demonic energy in his body.
Obviously, this game was not only enjoyable to play; the viewers behind Fang Qi were having a thrilling time as well.
“Is this demonic energy?”
“Humph! This little guy’s power is still not as great as me, the Saint Lord! Gulp…” Above their heads came the sound of someone drinking milk tea with a straw.

Delve
Summary – Level 1: Delve is an isekai litrpg that follows an average guy who just happened to wake up in a forest one day. He wasn’t summoned to defeat the demon lord or to save the world or anything like that, at least as far as he can tell. The only creature there to greet him was a regular old squirrel. Soon enough, he meets other people, only to discover that he can’t speak the language, and that not everybody immediately trusts random pajama-wearing strangers they met in the middle of the wilderness. Things generally go downhill from there, at least until the blue boxes start appearing. Delve is a story about finding your way in a new, strange, and dangerous world. It’s about avoiding death, figuring out what the heck is going on, and trying to make some friends along the way. It’s not about getting home, so much as finding a new one. Did I mention that there will be math? Summary – Level 2: Okay, but what are you in for, really? Well, this story is supposed to be realistic, or at least, as realistic as a fantasy litrpg can be. The main character doesn’t instantly become an all-powerful god and murder-hobo his way across the universe. Delve is, at its heart, a progression fantasy, but that progression is meant to feel earned. The numbers in this story actually mean something. Everything is calculated, and if you find a rounding error, I expect you to tell me about it. That said, if math isn’t your cup of tea, there is plenty more that the story has to offer. Characters are meant to feel real, and progression isn’t only about personal power; it’s also about allies, connections, and above all, knowledge. Figuring out how the system works is a significant theme. ... What, you want more details? Okay, fine, but this is going to get a bit spoiler-y. Are you sure? Yes! Really sure? I mean, this summary is practically half as long as the first chap– Now! Okay, okay! The main character becomes a magic user, but he takes a route that is not very popular in adventurer culture, namely that of a support. There is a full magic system with various spells, skills, and abilities, but our MC decides that aura magic is the way to go, and that the only stat worth investing in is mana regeneration. Most people at the Adventurer’s Guild think that this makes him a bit of a dumbass, but he’s playing the long game. We’ll see how that works out for him, won’t we? Because of his build, the MC levels up fast, at least compared to normal people. There are no cheats, though, and he is limited in other ways. There are some clear and pretty obvious downsides to his build. That’s what makes it fun, no? Morals? Our MC has them. Again, we’ll see how that works out for him. Realism, remember? Would you be okay with killing someone and looting their body? I sure hope not. POV? The focus is on the main character, but there will be occasional varying perspectives from people around him, or involved in the events related to the main plot. It isn’t going to jump all over the place. Tech is standard medieval stasis. No smartphones, but the MC does have a technical background. Computers and their programming might be involved. There might even be a bit of uplifting down the road, who knows? Anyway, it isn’t the focus. He isn’t going to invent the gun in chapter 1 and change the face of warfare. Romance is not a major focus. Friendships are more the name of the game, though there will be some characters in romantic relationships. There is exploration, though not as much of the geographical nature as you might expect. It is more about exploration of the system and the culture. The pace is slow and detailed, sometimes verging on slice-of-life. The action is meant to be realistic and grounded in the numbers, and it is intended to have meaning beyond simply punching things until they stop moving. The general tone of the story is grey, and some parts can get quite dark. People die. Sometimes, people with names, but not anywhere near GoT level. There is plenty of light, too, though, to balance the darkness. The world is dangerous, but overcoming that danger is why we’re all here, isn’t it? Anyway, if you’ve made it this far through the summary, you clearly like words. I hope you enjoy the story! Cover by Miha Brumec Summary Updated: 2020-06-14

Dear Spellbook (Link to rewrite in blurb)
A rewrite of this story has been posted here: https://www.royalroad.com/fiction/49881/dear-spellbook-a-fantasy-time-loop-rewrite Live. Study. Repeat. Tal is a sorcerer in a world where they are killed on sight, traveling with a man charged with carrying out the task. Every night Tal must pretend to study his spellbook to maintain his disguise as a Wizard’s Apprentice. If his disguise slips and his charade is uncovered, it will be his death. Seeking answers to mysteries that arose after his parent’s murder, Tal must accept any allies, no matter the risks, to uncover his family’s secret. But when he wakes up one morning to find himself trapped repeating the same day, he has to overcome his challenges all on his own. This story is an adaptation of a D&D campaign I ran but never was able to complete. I tried to capture the feel of a table-top RPG session —tropes and humor— without relying on the mechanics. This is not a litRPG or gamelit story and no D&D mechanics or system appear in the game. It follows one member of an adventuring party as he deals with the problems with that arise from being an adventurer. Namely, getting roped into adventures. The story has a time loop element, but will eventually move past that. This story explores the magic systems, the history, and the lore of the world through the lens of Tal's entries in his Spellbook and interludes from other written works in the world. New entries on Mondays Credit to JackOfHearts for the cover.

Wishful Cultivation
First offered three wishes by a bizarre entity, Alex soon finds himself thrust into a grand world of mages, cultivators, and powerful demonic beasts. Follow our MC as he tries to find his way in a world of wonder and peril. What To expect: A generally rational MC, with some cheat abilities that still require him to grow to survive. I've got a rough idea where I want this story to go, but characters have a way of driving stories in directions you'd never expect. Writing is a fun pastime for me, and every once in a while I'm inspired to share what I put down on paper. Constructive criticism is always welcome.
