Black Tech Internet Cafe System Chapter 237 – You Dare to Take My Rake Cat! You Are Seeking Death!
Translator: Noodletown Translations Editor: Noodletown Translations
“Sir! What does your shop do?” The cultivator who asked the question was a businessman named Huang Shan. As a man who could do business in this place, he had contacts in both the virtuous and the criminous worlds.
Of course, this world had no hard distinction between the virtuous and the criminous forces.
The grey-clothed old Daoist by his side was called Iron Rock Daoist, a guardian of the Huang Family. The middle-aged man who was wearing black clothes and had his hair tied in braids was also a guardian of Huang Shi’s Family; his name was Zha Gu, and his appearance was a little exotic.
As a shrewd businessman, Huang Shan had an eye for unique things. When he saw the unusual things in Fang Qi’s shop, he walked in curiously.
Besides, he wasn’t a local and thus wasn’t familiar with the complicated and constantly changing forces in Half City. Since he saw the token from the Coiled Dragon Office on the door, he was reassured, and he wanted to have a try with this shop; he didn’t think that much.
Fang Qi pointed at the Legend of Mir 2 on the blackboard and said, “If you want to play the game, you have to pay money first, and I’ll tell you what to do next.”
Zha Gu’s dark face turned even more black, and he said with a stiff accent, “How can there be such a thing? What if I don’t think this thing is worthy the money after I try?”
Fang Qi knocked on the six words on the small blackboard. [Play if you want, but get out otherwise.]
“You…” The foreign-looking middle-aged man’s face fell.
“Guardian Zha Gu!” For a businessman like Huang Shan, a dozen or so crystals were not a big amount, and he wouldn’t feel a thing if he lost them. Besides, there were many weird things in Half City, and he wouldn’t understand them if he didn’t try them personally.

Therefore, he handed Fang Qi the required crystals. “Then, I’ll try it!”
“Someone did pay to try it…” Ruan Ning walked over when she saw that people walked into Fang Qi’s shop, and she was surprised that someone was willing to try the game.
In fact, she was curious about the stuff in Fang Qi’s shop and wondered about the high prices and the bad attitude!
Could it be his stuff is so good that he isn’t worried about his business?
Subconsciously, she walked in and watched from behind.
…
Meanwhile, Fang Qi’s QQ was beeping.
Since the people in Jiuhua City couldn’t reach Fang Qi with their communication jades, they had to use this method.
Fortunately, Fang Qi’s QQ was on, and he glanced at it.
[Sir! What’s that new game? That one with the dragon character logo! How come we can’t play it?] It was from Lin Shao.
[Boss! They want to play the new game named the Legend of Mir 2! How do I activate it?] It was from Jiang Xiaoyue.
[Sir! How much is it to activate the Legend of Legend of Mir 2?]
[…]
Hurried, Fang Qi replied to Jiang Xiaoyue, [Xiaoyue, add the price of the Legend of Mir 2 on the small blackboard. I’ll send it to you.]
Jiang Xiaoyue was playing the Legend of the Sword and Fairy when she heard the beep sounds.
“The beeping sound is coming from QQ?” Subconsciously, she pulled out QQ’s interface and found that she could use it while she was in the Legend of the Sword and Fairy!
“Wow! This is convenient!”
She immediately replied, [Got it], and ran to the counter, announcing happily, “Good news! The activation method of the new game is here!”
“New game?”
“Activation?”
Many of the customers were playing games. The people who weren’t playing games and the players who had turned on the external communication all heard her and looked over.
Soon, a small group of players in Jiuhua City entered the new game.
…

Due to the black technology of the System, the games in Fang Qi’s shop didn’t need accounts, which made things very convenient for him.
Different from the original version of the Legend of Mir 2, there were three round stone platforms in the dark space, and on each platform was a character statue. If the players clicked one, the statue would melt, revealing a character on it.
The professions of Warriors, Wizards, and Taoists didn’t need Fang Qi’s explanation, and everyone including Huang Shan understood them at first glance.
[TL Note: Daoist and Taoist can be used interchangeably].
Quickly, Huang Shan chose his profession: Wizard.
It was a black-robed wizard with a cloud of flames dancing around his hands; he liked this profession at first glance.
Then, he entered the game.
The moment that he put on the virtual reality headset and entered the game, Huang Shan was astonished to find that he had changed into another person in the so-called Legend of Mir 2.
He became an ordinary person wearing crude, cotton-fabric clothes!
Alarmed, he instantly exited the game according to the instructions on the small blackboard. After putting down the virtual reality headset, he checked and found that he was still himself!
He had experienced illusions and arrays, but this thing was way better than all those illusions!
“Amazing!” Huang Shan quickly realized that this shop was extraordinary!
…
Meanwhile in Jiuhua City, a little over ten people began playing the new game.
Guo Xiong was in front of a small primitive village, and he changed into a young warrior who had a wooden sword in his hand. He was looking for monsters at the entrance of the village.
“Old Guo, what’s this game?” Xi Qi and the others had just gotten online. When they saw one of their friends was playing this game, they watched curiously.
“The new game, the Legend of Mir 2,” Guo Xiong said.
“Is it good?”
“I just began,” Guo Xiong said, “I feel it’s similar to Diablo, but the professions are easier to understand. Besides…”
He chased a scarecrow and hacked it to death. “It is easier to obtain growth in cultivation strength. One can increase strength by killing monsters, and you don’t have to wait until you level up.”
“It sounds alright.” Xi Qi and others weren’t interested. “You can try it first, and I’ll play it if you think it is worth it.”
…
– In the Half City Shop –
“I can increase my cultivation strength by killing monsters?! Even the animals such as chicken, ducks, and deer are counted as monsters?!” Huang Shan was even more astonished, and he chased creatures such as chicken, ducks, deer, and scarecrows and hacked them wildly!
The shop gave him lots of surprises, and he thought that there were more surprises for him!
What he had seen by now was already worth the dozens of crystals that he paid! As a shrewd businessman, he believed it was only the beginning; the amazement wouldn’t end here.
While his level increased slowly, he quickly learned the first technique – the Fire Ball Spell!
At this moment, more people began to show up outside of the village.
Huang Shan was fighting devil cats with rakes. These devil cats were obviously more powerful than other creatures in both their movement speed and fierceness of their attacks!
Standing from a distance, he threw fireballs toward the devil cats carefully with his newly learned spell. He felt as if he had returned when he had just learned spells and was facing an opponent for the first time!
He had gained some experience and killed the devil cat. “I gained a lot cultivation strength this time!”
After the death of the devil cat, he had a clear feeling that his cultivation strength increased by a lot!
“I need to kill more of these devil cats!” He was excited about this discovery. But just when he found another devil cat, a figure rushed toward it!
“Someone is trying to take them from me!?” His face fell, realizing the cat represented cultivation strength!
“Someone dares to take my rake cat?! You are seeking death!”
Immediately, he threw a fireball toward that person!

Delve
Summary – Level 1: Delve is an isekai litrpg that follows an average guy who just happened to wake up in a forest one day. He wasn’t summoned to defeat the demon lord or to save the world or anything like that, at least as far as he can tell. The only creature there to greet him was a regular old squirrel. Soon enough, he meets other people, only to discover that he can’t speak the language, and that not everybody immediately trusts random pajama-wearing strangers they met in the middle of the wilderness. Things generally go downhill from there, at least until the blue boxes start appearing. Delve is a story about finding your way in a new, strange, and dangerous world. It’s about avoiding death, figuring out what the heck is going on, and trying to make some friends along the way. It’s not about getting home, so much as finding a new one. Did I mention that there will be math? Summary – Level 2: Okay, but what are you in for, really? Well, this story is supposed to be realistic, or at least, as realistic as a fantasy litrpg can be. The main character doesn’t instantly become an all-powerful god and murder-hobo his way across the universe. Delve is, at its heart, a progression fantasy, but that progression is meant to feel earned. The numbers in this story actually mean something. Everything is calculated, and if you find a rounding error, I expect you to tell me about it. That said, if math isn’t your cup of tea, there is plenty more that the story has to offer. Characters are meant to feel real, and progression isn’t only about personal power; it’s also about allies, connections, and above all, knowledge. Figuring out how the system works is a significant theme. ... What, you want more details? Okay, fine, but this is going to get a bit spoiler-y. Are you sure? Yes! Really sure? I mean, this summary is practically half as long as the first chap– Now! Okay, okay! The main character becomes a magic user, but he takes a route that is not very popular in adventurer culture, namely that of a support. There is a full magic system with various spells, skills, and abilities, but our MC decides that aura magic is the way to go, and that the only stat worth investing in is mana regeneration. Most people at the Adventurer’s Guild think that this makes him a bit of a dumbass, but he’s playing the long game. We’ll see how that works out for him, won’t we? Because of his build, the MC levels up fast, at least compared to normal people. There are no cheats, though, and he is limited in other ways. There are some clear and pretty obvious downsides to his build. That’s what makes it fun, no? Morals? Our MC has them. Again, we’ll see how that works out for him. Realism, remember? Would you be okay with killing someone and looting their body? I sure hope not. POV? The focus is on the main character, but there will be occasional varying perspectives from people around him, or involved in the events related to the main plot. It isn’t going to jump all over the place. Tech is standard medieval stasis. No smartphones, but the MC does have a technical background. Computers and their programming might be involved. There might even be a bit of uplifting down the road, who knows? Anyway, it isn’t the focus. He isn’t going to invent the gun in chapter 1 and change the face of warfare. Romance is not a major focus. Friendships are more the name of the game, though there will be some characters in romantic relationships. There is exploration, though not as much of the geographical nature as you might expect. It is more about exploration of the system and the culture. The pace is slow and detailed, sometimes verging on slice-of-life. The action is meant to be realistic and grounded in the numbers, and it is intended to have meaning beyond simply punching things until they stop moving. The general tone of the story is grey, and some parts can get quite dark. People die. Sometimes, people with names, but not anywhere near GoT level. There is plenty of light, too, though, to balance the darkness. The world is dangerous, but overcoming that danger is why we’re all here, isn’t it? Anyway, if you’ve made it this far through the summary, you clearly like words. I hope you enjoy the story! Cover by Miha Brumec Summary Updated: 2020-06-14
