Seeing this Stone Gaze realised that Zielong have waited for him to arrive before finishing Sturdy Snake.
It was a deliberate mocking towards him causing him to be extremely furious.
But he still managed to hold it in and started to move cautiously he knew that if he move rashly even with his tough defence he couldn't take Zielong's strike.
While he was acting cautiously Zielong wasn't he then charged towards him and attack.
"Dragon Sweeping Za World!"
Bam! With just the first attack Stone Gaze immediately stumbled sideward as he nearly fell.
Zielong eyes started glowing in golden color he then started repeating his technique 'Dragon Sweeping Za World' as he used it he started spinning as images of dragons baring it's teeth and claws appeared.
Stone Gaze was repeatedly swinging left to right as the stone scales in his body started cracking then finally they exploded into bits.
Shadowslash then lifted him out of the stage as he knew that Zielong wouldn't be stopping soon.
Just as expected Zielong only stopped when he felt that the opponent in front of him have disappeared.
He then charged his target to Flying Snake sensing his gaze Flying Snake knew that she had already lost but she still grits her teeth and fired a couple of arrows to the old man before switching to Zielong.
Zielong stomps his feet and charged he was burning with excitement that earlier burst of attack have inspired him greatly leading to the evolution of one of his techniques.
As he charged he became a dragon but only in the aura sense not in physical sense but the power in his charge did increase.
Looking at the golden figure rapidly closing at her Flying Snake started rapidly firing at him in hope that at least one managed to break through.
Alas it was too bad the dream that she had been hoping for did not happen as Zielong clashed with her.
She was then lifted out of the arena that means that only Snake Whisperer and his monster companion the Horned Snake was left in the stage.
And without any suspense with the combo of the old man and Zielong the two practically were practically helpless.
With just a couple of seconds both were taken out of the stage declaring the Golden Spear Warriors as the winner.

Shadowslash couldn't help but pity them as their group fought nothing but the elites.
Such as luck with the two group out of the stage declared the end of today present competition as it would continue tomorrow.
There was still one group that haven't fought and that was the Dark Triad but the number of the group was unbalanced.
They would be fighting in the first battle tomorrow Shadowslash wished to take out one of the group so that the number of group would be even.
But sadly his wish would be unfulfilled not to mention the tournament would take a couple of days to end wasting time but at least he could recruit elites to his power.
Everyone dispersed then the fighters either celebrated their victory or wallow in their defeat.
Of course there were some that immediately went to rest their tired body.
While everyone was talking about the fight today in a secluded corner there were a couple of fighters that were laid on the floor beaten to the point they were unconscious.
In front of the fighters was a kneeling noble but it seems that the noble had fear towards the person in front of him.
The silent figure that was covered in the darkness of the night spoke "So do you agree to my proposition?"
The noble wanted to rebute or disagree but he dares not to after shivering some more he could only sigh and said "I agree"
As if the strength in his entire body disappears the noble slump to the ground.
The next day just as the tournament was about to start Reias received a letter.
In the letter there were only one sentence but this sentence stunned Shadowslash and the other.
'The Brute Force Group forfeits'
With the group forfeiting that means that the number of group would be even with this the progress of the tournament would be smooth.
"Dark Triad!"
"The Silent Night!"
The two groups sent waves of commotion to the audience.
They thought that it would be a long battle once again but they knew that the Dark Triad would ultimately win.
That is what they all thought considering what had happened between the Peerless Sword Warriors and the Days By Gone group.

When the two group entered the stage the audience saw that Darkai and Luminous actually recovered and once again on the stage.
Tank was still recovering because unlike the two he used all of his energy and Mana on his last attack.
When the two appeared in the stage the audience started cheering of course Darkai was extremely happy about this it serves his vanity.
But Luminous on the other hand felt uncomfortable as if someone was mocking her after all her defeat is the worst in her group.
She dearly wished that she could fight Quinn once again but alas the rule stated that groups that have fought each other couldn't fight again.
That is why in today's fight she had made a wish to her teammates and all of them agrees with her.
Of course her group agreed to her request but Darkai on the other hand also stated some of his condition.
Her request was that she would fight the enemy team alsone while Darkai's condition was to help her if she were in a dire situation.
Since he is the youngest brother and was spoiled because of his potential everyone agrees after all he only wanted to help her elder sister.
Before the two group started fighting Reias suddenly announced something that shocked everyone.
"I receive a letter that states that the group Brute Force Group have decided to forfeit in the tournament that means there are only 14 groups in the tournament!"
"As there are now even numbers the rules also changed 5 loses meant the whole group total defeat!"
The groups that joined the tournament have their expression changed of course this is only referred to the group that has no confidence in their strength.
Some also inwardly cursed Shadowslash for always changing the rules but they couldn't do anything after all the whole event centered on the rewards he is giving.
So far there are only 4 groups that stayed undefeated while fighting the elite groups.
They were The Genius Group, Golden Spear Warriors, Peerless Sword Warriors and Heavenly Sword Sect.
After stating the forfeit of the Brute Force Group and the new rule Reias announced the start of the battle.
With her signal Luminous started shining brightly as she immediately transformed into her winged form.
With her aura skyrocketing she immediately started condensing her attack.
Sensing the large amount of light elemental energy being gathered towards Luminous the expression of The Silent Night turned solemn.
They had an obvious weakness and that is the element of light as their dark energy would dispersed if they were ever to be hit by an offensive type light elemental attack.
The whole group immediately looks at each other before charging they knew that they had to stop Luminous.
Seeing them charge Luminous smirk what she is doing is bluffing she wasn't gathering light elemental energy because she was preparing an offensive attack but she was actually in the process of summoning.
She silently started chanting and just as two swordsman from The Silent Night managed to close in their distance Luminous finished her chant.
A blinding light was seen as two figures of a giant guardian knight with angel wings have appeared.
Their golden armor and their spear was extremely eye-catching they were floating besides Luminous they didn't have legs but all of their bodies were covered with golden armor.
Shadowslash watching from above immediately noticed that they weren't elemental creatures but beings summoned from another dimension.
It was like a necromancer summoning a higher ranking undead at the Death Realm or underworld.
He then scans them and was surprised that both beings couldn't be scanned as they were protected by something.
He snorted as he used his Transcendent Qi and finally managed to scan the both of them.

Fates Parallel is my first serious attempt at writing a story, and a personal love letter to Eastern fantasy and xianxia stories. It's heavily inspired by East Asian culture, folklore, and mythology, with what is likely going to be a decidedly Western artistic license. I try to write every day, with a goal of about 45,000 words per month (~1500 per day). Chapter lengths are around 3000 words on average, releasing on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Cover art drawn by the incredibly talented Tsuu (TsurotArtistry).
