As long as the person rank within top 30 they were eligible to come with them this was a decision that was made by the majority vote of everyone.

Sans even host a similar event back on Undead Graveyard where the top ten undeads would be able to go inside his kingdom and come with them in their return.

Of course each places has their own unique reward for example top 30 to 21 were only eligible to come with them.

Top 20 to 11 has the chance to obtain an Excellent Grade monster as a pet and earn 500 Gold Coins.

Top 10 to 4 would obtain a Superior Grade infant monster and win a thousand Gold Coins together with a rank up in their Adventurer Rank.

Third place would have the ability to chose a monster of any grade in any establishment that is owned by their group he or she would also acquired 2,000 Gold Coins.
