For them to evolve and know how he can help them, Shadowslash scanned all of the foxes statuses.

Shadowslash then brought JM and Banjo near the river to hunt. A body of water is a place which monster would eventually come to drink so it is like a jackpot area.

He did not bring Sans with him because he has given it a task. Consequently, Sans mission is to hunt a Yin Type monster. The SYSTEM gave him a tip that if Sans devoured a Yin Type monster while in the pond, it can hasten the process of turning the water in the pond into a Yin Water.

He also tried to use his free summon but eventually did not. This is due to what the SYSTEM notified him. The SYSTEM also gave him another tip in which he can use an item or a monster as a sacrifice. The information was that if he sacrificed a Rock Type bear monster and a Fire mouse monster, the SYSTEM can use the monsters and combine them producing a Rock Clawed Flaming Mouse or a Vulcan Bear.

So he decided to use his time to help Banjo and JM into ranking up while Flare was left to Mary and the other foxes to train.

Shadowslash was looking at the river while he is deep in thought. He was thinking of connecting this river into the creek near the cave.

They then follow where the river flows and found out that the river is actually already connected to the creek. In addition, there was a waterfall connecting the two.

Hence, Shadowslash decided to scare some of the monsters in the river and make them swim towards the water, eventually leading them the creek. He becomes excited.

Shadowslash and Banjo started firing into the river startling and scaring away the monsters. JM was widening the waterfall that leads it in letting more water flowing into it. It is not worried of falling because the waterfall is not that high.

The continuous attack coming from Shadowslash and Banjo made the monsters living in the river confused and afraid. Therefore they started swimming in different directions. Some of them goes to the direction where the waterfall is and the others swim in the opposite side.

Seeing schools of fishes swimming toward the waterfall, Shadowslash and Banjo stop attacking and brought JM to hunt in the forest.

While passing through the forest, they met different type of monsters but none of them made Shadow interested.

After 2 hours of searching for a suitable prey, they finally found one.

It is the Earthen Rock Monster: (Bronze Lvl 6) (Good Grade) (Earth and Rock Type)

Shadowslash fought with it alone. He wants to learn a new skill so he did not use [Fireball], instead he concentrated in using dark elements and his claw. He only use his active ability [Shadow Clone] this time.

After fighting with the Earthen Rock Monster for an hour, the SYSTEM finally notified him that he learned a new skill [Dark Slash].

After learning [Dark Slash] he immediately leveled up the skill to Lvl 3.

He then use the skill to know how powerful it became. The result is extraordinary, the attack split the Earthen Rock Monster into three.

Shadowslash was speechless, he never thought that the Lvl 3 [Dark Slash] would be that powerful, so he decided to level it up again.

He then pick the Earthen Demon core and throws it to JM's direction.

JM was confused at first, then looks at Shadowslash in daze. Seeing him nodding at him, JM felt like crying. It then swallowed the core gratefully.

After an hour, JM finally Rank up to Bronze Rank. Additionally, his data shows:

'Fake Rare Grade? What does it mean?' Shadow asked the SYSTEM.

(Once a monster ranks up, it will use the monster grade making it much weaker than its other counterpart hence the term fake)

'I see.' Shadow contemplated. He also asked: 'What about mine?'

'Oh' He shrug and just forget about it. They continued hunting after as JM also wanted to know how much stronger he got.

They then kept searching for monsters they can defeat, but now Shadowslash didn't really care about types anymore. It is extremely difficult to find another Space Type monster, Shadow is well aware of this.

He decided to hunt prey that has a Very Rare Grade and monsters in high rank as supplements for Banjo.

After searching for a couple of hours, they did not find any suitable prey.

When he was just thinking that he would lower his criteria they saw a donkey. He trued to scan it and his eyes lit up with such an amazing opportunity.

Rocky Donkey (Bronze Lvl 7)

"Banjo, this monster is a high level Bronze Rank monster. With this we can push your level to Level 10."

After saying that, Shadowslash then dash towards the donkey and use [Dark Slash].

The donkey was startled and use a skill turning its body into rock.

The attack might not have killed the donkey but its skill was worthless to Shadowslash. [Dark Slash] was a Lvl 4 Red Quality Skill, it easily destroyed the donkey's armour leaving a deep slash mark.

Seeing that it was nearly killed, the Rocky Donkey immediately tried to flee.

'I am not letting you go!'

Seeing that the donkey was trying to flee, Shadowslash hurriedly used [Fireball] hitting the donkey, eventually making it fall down.

He was just about to dash toward it and finish it using another [Dark Slash], when suddenly it let out some noise. The grasses started to bind him aggresively.

Seeing this, he burns the grasses away by covering himself with Fire Element, the passive ability. [Flame Lord] was not just for show.

Upon realizing that the grasses can not bind Shadowslash, the donkey let out a sound of despair.

Hearing the donkey wailing, he finish it off by using [Dark Slash] splitting the donkey. Even though it was a very pitiful sight when it started wailing, he did not hesitate with his attack and keep repeating this in his mind: as long as the monster is not intelligent.

He then let Banjo devour all the donkey. Since the donkey was shredded by Shadowslash, swallowing the donkey became much easier.

After this, they started to search for another prey. Although Banjo was already digesting a monster using the passive ability [Enhance Digestion], they still continued with their plan.

After searching for hours, unfirtunately luck is not on their side this time. They did not find any monster that fits Shadowslash criteria and it was already noon.

'Hmmm'

Shadowslash contemplated. He remembers that in the deeper part of the Jade Forest, stronger monsters lurk and roam. So he decided to leave JM behind and bring Sans to hunt deeper into the forest.

He then called Sans using the SYSTEM and asks JM what he wants to do.

"Boss, can I come with you? I have an ability that can trap a monster. It is called Quicksand and it doesn't have any other use but just trap monsters."

Hearing JM's skill, Shadowslash was both shock and glad. He never thought that JM learned such a convenient skill.

He then agrees to take JM with him. They waited for a couple of minutes before Sans came.

The 4 then marched deeper into the forest.

Meanwhile, in the deeper part of the forest there was a much stronger spirit energy that Shadow felt. He decided that if they find a safe place here, they will be moving here.

He even decided to let Banjo drain all the Yin Water, while the rest of them brought some of the plants. These plants will be put in the cave, especially the glowing small tree.

After just about a couple of minutes, they managed to find a suitable prey. However, the battle will be dangerous now. This is because the monster that they managed to find was a Bulky Bull: (Silver Lvl 1) (Normal Grade) (Strength Type)

They huddled up and listen to his plan.

"Here's the plan, JM will trap the bull first. Seond, after trapping the bull both me and Banjo will open fire. Lastly, Sans I want you on standby and if ever the bull comes close ambush it."

All of them nodded. JM then used [Quicksand], making the Bulky Bull sink slowly. The bull panicked and started stomping which made it sink much faster.

Nevertheless, JM also started to sweat since the skill [Quicksand], even though it is great, it also has a drawback wherein the user must held on as much as he can. If the use is unable to do it, the skill will disappear freezing the trapped monster.

Seeing the bull sink in, both Shadowslash and Banjo started to open fire targeting the bull's face.

The continuous attack of Shadowslash and Banjo enraged the bull. It lets out a sound of battle cry.

"Mooooo!!!!!!"

It started to struggle harder and although it sinks much faster, JM can't hold on any more due to its strenght and slumps down in exhaustion.

The bull was able to break free and retaliated. First it raised its front hooves and stomp onto the ground causing an earthquake. Following that, it let out another battle cry. It becomes bigger and bulkier. Then it then charge towards Shadowslash and Banjo.

Seeing the bull charging towards them, Shadowslash dash towards it while firing, [Fireball] making the bull focus its attack on him.

Shadow jumps and used [Dark Slash] and targeted the bull's eyes. But seeing the incoming attack, the bull turns its head. The good thing is, it still lost its left eye.

The bull got even more enraged as if it will do anything to take Shadow down. On that account, it targeted Shadowslash solely and did not give any attention to others that is with him.

Shadowslash nimbly used his tail to slap the bull. He then used the force of the slap to distance himself from the bull and flee towards where Sans is.
