The attack damage dealth with the boar made it let out an agonizing roar. Shadow began concentrating again and tried to conjure another [Fireball]. Sans kept hitting the boar's head pounding it until it was smashed. Unfortunately, they were not successful.

The boar, with its intinct of surviving from danger and trying to get ahold of its self, made an enraged roar, attacked them and used its tusk to lift Sans. It throws him like a rag doll and then sets its raging sight to Shadowslash.

'Shit I need more time'

Shadow was very nervous looking at the boar with its eyes holding contempt and murder.

"Sans I need your help!!!" He then cancel the process and started running into the thick bushes.

Sans stood up. It started chasing the boar that is charging at Shadowslash.

The boar got even more furious when it started to chase Shadowslash. (Can't blame it though, Shadowslash was an expert in running away. He was also good at using his surrounding for his own advantage with his little body while making good use of their innate skill of misdirection).

Meanwhile, Sans have already arrived next to Shadowslash.

"Sans, ambush it again. I'll try to lure it here".

Sans then hid under the bushes while Shadowslash came forward and let the boar see him as expected. The boar immediately started chasing Shadowslash again with the intent to remove his enemies no matter what.

Shadowslash then led the boar where Sans is hiding. When the boar was nearing, Sans pounded its head causing it to bleed.

'Chance'

Shadowslash then started loading his attack to blast the boar's head once and for all because no matter how clever they are with using tactics, they will be exhausted as well.

Sans kept pounding the boar's head causing the injury of the boar to worsen.

'Now!'

Shadowslash then fired a [Fireball] straight in the head of the boar.

Sans then hurriedly ducked. Shadowslash had already warned it trough the SYSTEM.

*Boom*

The boar's head burst open, scattering its brain guts all over the place.

"Sans, carry the boar today. You are coming with me."

When Sans lifted the boar, Shadow was shock by what it saw. The tusk of the boar was devoured by Sans. Too bad it did not raise its level.

'I need to know what other things can make Sans level up.' With a determination in mind, they went home bringing the bacon.

When he got back to the foxes playground, Shadowslash saw his sisters who were still playing and their mother sleeping besides the pond. Probably feeling them and not being able to recognize his companion, she suddenly woke up and looks at Sans with hostility.

Shadow immediately explained the situation so that it will not cause any misunderstanding.

"Mom don't worry, he is my friend. We have been friends for a long time and I know it is hard to explain now but he's been with me since I can remember." Using his charm to convince his mother in the process, his mother's hostility disappeared but remained wary of Sans.

Trying to distract the tense atmosphere, he presented their hunt.

"Mom I brought snacks for the for the family."

Shadowslash then let his mother cut 1/3 of the boar and gave it to Sans. Even though he is just a skeleton, Sans can devour all the blood and meat strengthening his bones without any problem.

Shadowslash then ordered Sans to build a Barbeque place. He fired a [Fireball] to lit up a bonfire so that all of them can feast on the barbeque, well except for Sans because it devoured all the bones while eating the 1/3 portion of it raw.

After eating, Shadowslash played some more with his sister while Sans stayed underneath a tree looking like a dead skeleton. They spent the entire afternoon playing with his sister before going back to their burrow.

Maybe due to her worry that he keeps going home with his hunt, his mother brought dinner that time and told him to look after his sisters.

Because they love the barbecue that he presented, she also copied Shadowslash's method by cooking the raw meat.

They have a sumptuous dinner and sleep. Shadow also found out that just by continuous eating, it can level up a monster but with winning battles the speed of digesting the nutrients of their food is faster so they leveled up quicker.

The following day, they did the same routine by practicing [Fireball] with their mom. The only difference is that Shadowslash was also sharing his experience to his sisters after practicing it for 2 hours. His mastery in using fireball has gone to (F) to (F+).

Shadowslash then asked permission to his mother to explore the forest again, making a promise not to overdo anything.

After gaining his mother's permission, he brought Sans with him to hunt again making him more excited.

While they were exploring the forest, it can not be helped that they encounter also many different monsters. However, this time they did not fight with them because they know they were still weak compared to those monster.

When they were resting underneath a shade of a tree, some rustling sounds came from a nearby bush.

Shadowslash immediately got ready and Sans positioned in front of him, guarding him whenever a monster come out. Shadowslash let out a sigh of relief when they saw who the intruder is.

"So it was just a bunny" Shadowslash started laughing but he chocked when it started speaking.

"I am not an just a bunny. I am THE bunny, by the way are you Shadowslash, right? Your mother is calling you back." The bunny started introducing itself arrogantly and taunting about Shadowslash being called by his mother.

Not being swayed by him, Shadowslash was still dumbfounded by the bunny talking to him for the first time. Other than his mother and sisters, this was the first time he heard another monster talk to him. He only came out of his stupor when what the bunny said sink in.

"You know my mother?" Shadowslash asks curiously.

"Yes your mother is one of the intelligent monsters here. My mother knows her, my mom said that there was a meeting in your place. The monsters attending are all the intelligent monsters in the forest she said."

'I see. Mom is amazing.'

Shadowslash nodded and followed the bunny back to their place. When he returned he saw many monsters talking to each other. The most dazzling ones are the gorilla, the wolf and the hawk.

The bunny ed him to his mother. Shadow saw his mother talking to a cute rabbit with a very long, fluffy ears.

When his mother saw him, she drags him in front of the rabbit.

"Oh there you are, come let me introduce you to your aunt" his mother introduced the both of them to each other.

Too bad though that monsters don't have their own names so they remembered each other by their mana.

"Oh such a cute girl she will make a perfect friend for my darling daughter."

What the rabbit said really took a blow on Shadowslash's pride. He was screaming in his head: 'Me a girl?!! A girl?!!!!!!!!' Over and over again

His mother just laughed upon seeing his awkward expression.

"All my children are girls except this one. He is one of the rare male foxes"

The rabbit seems taken aback and scrutinize Shadowslash from head to toe. He then proudly held up his face and chest thinking in his mind:

'You might be blind not to see my handsome appearance.'

Contrary to Shadow's expectation, what the rabbit said after nearly made Shadowslash spit blood.

"No matter where you look at it he definitely look like a girl. He is much more pretty than an average female fox."

When she said that, Shadowslash literally bangs his head into the ground while his mother was laughing for his funny expression.

"All of the intelligent monsters, we gather you all here today because there are two important and grave information I need to convey to you," the gorilla suddenly shouted making all the monsters quiet down and look at the three of them.

"There are report of sightings of a horde Starving Acid Boars seen on the northwest of the Jade Tree Forest." The wolf suddenly announced. What he said changed the faces of some of monsters gathering here. It seems that the boar is an immediate threat to them and thus making them start discussing about what to do.

"Mom what is a Starving Acid Boar?" When Shadowslash asked the questio, the wolf heard him and looks at him silently. It seems that he approved of what Shadowslash asked.

"I know some of you here don't know about the Starving Acid Boar, then let me tell you about it." The wolf suddenly said, making the attention of the monsters gather to him.

"The Starving Acid Boar is a monster that will devour everything on its surrounding. Additionally, they excrete acid that pollutes the place. They have a devastating effect in their surrounding and they multiply very fast if left unnoticed. They can ravage the forest into the ground and such creatures are extremely greedy and gluttonous."

Shadowslash expression finally changed. This type of boar was just a cancer of society. The monsters also started making a ruckus. Their demeanor is that they are panicking.

"Quiet down everyone! Hawk-san also have a report." The gorilla suddenly shouted, making the rowdy monsters silent. He then nodded at the hawk.

"I also found humans near the forest, some of them are venturing deep in Jade Tree Forest. They are in the northern part of the forest."

The monsters get even more frightened with the additional information. First boar, now humans?
