When I opened my eyes all I can see is darkness.

Then there is only one thing that was on my mind that time:

Shadowslash tried to move his body but he felt so stiff.

'Oh fuck oh fuck I have been paralyzed'

'Why the fuck am I so sleepy, sigh. Oh well, I'll sleep for now, I guess'

When Shadowslash woke up the next day, he saw a light making his yearning soul filled with joy,

'Yes omg yes, thank you god that I am not blind!'

Then out of nowhere, somebody grabbed him and picked him up bringing him some place outside where he was staying.

When he looks at the person carrying him he was extremely shocked and flabbergasted. It was actually a beautiful white fox.

'Omg how can a fox be that huge. Shit I think it will eat me!'

But when it looked at him, he only saw tenderness on the fox eyes with no hint of hostility.

When Shadowslash finally looked at his arms, his heart violently shook than when he first saw the white fox carrying him. His arms are now paws and he is surrounded by the trees that appear huge as if he they were skyscrapers in his known land.

While being carried, Shadowslash saw where the fox is bringing him. There he met 3 fox pups laying on the grass, not a care in the world.

Not knowing what is happening, he heard the delicate and gorgeous white fox spoke,

"You are the only male fox I've given birth to. It happens just once in every thousand births. This is a joyous occasion indeed."

Her clear voice was very refreshing, like a spring after a winter season. Nevertheless, what it said was like a lightning and thunder striking and rumbling into his head,

'I am a fox?'

A week passed before he was used to being a fox. My mother told us what kind of world we are living in. It was a world a brutal one in where strength reigns supreme and different races live for survival. The forces that dominate this world are the Demonic Beasts or Monsters, Angels, Demons, Humans, Demi-Humans, Undeads and Elves.

Additionally, the reward of Monster World Online the Summoning System was also brought with him when he was reincarnated in here.

At first, he was thinking of what to do in this world. Upon being reincarnated as a fox, he expected that he will live his way like this until his last breath, but knowing the dangers lurking around, he wanted to at least protect the family that he has. For now, he looking after his siblings is his top priority and then to learn the way of the fox.

Therefore, Shadowslash had put it on hold until he was ready or get fully accustomed with this new life. With the help of the SYSTEM he will have the strength to protect those who are dear to him, conquer the most sought-after challenges and who knows, he might become the key to be one of the races that dominate this land.

After a week of playing with his sisters and getting used to his fox body, Shadow was now going to bind with the SYSTEM.

Shadowslash was very disappointed with his first summon. To think it was one of the weakest monster in the world. Thankfully, he has the beginner's luck. At least he has an ability to summon monster in this world, albeit weaker than he can imagine.

'Well, start with first level again.'

Shadowslash then goes to his mom and told her that he will be exploring for a while. But what he really plans to do was to kill some monsters to level up Sans and him. (He named the skeleton Sans).

It was hard at first as his mother tends to be overprotective with him being the only boy she has given birth to.

His mother at first got worried and asked him what is happening, he tried to explain that he just wanted to see what's in their place.

His mother thinking that he might be a prophetic fox as he is eager to know his surroundings at this age, stared at him for a long time before conceding to his plans. However, he used his charm and successfully made his mother agreed.

His siblings where left on their home with their mother as they are more safe while able to survive in the forest than travel with him.

He is also more comfortable going alone so that he can explore the SYSTEM and use Sans as he please, anytime he needs it.

As they have been living with the motto of:

Strength is everything.

The two of them (Shadow and Sans) were traveling when they met a slime. Shadowslash then ordered Sans to attack the slime but it seems like the slime was immune to physical attacks.

He ordered:

"Sans, pull its core"

The Sans then dug its bony arm into the slime's body and grabs its core before pulling it out.

"Good job Sans"

Shadow looks at the core that his Sans are holding, when suddenly a notification pop out:

(Devour core?)

'What? you can devour cores?'

The SYSTEM answered him: (Yes it will strengthen the System and gives the host +1 Mana)

'Good!'

"Devour!"

Shadowslash left it to the SYSTEM to devour the core and gained an additional Mana. Following that, they searched for other preys to kill.

Shadowslash and Sans continued hunting and returned before sundown. He let Sans hide in an another cave while he returned home. The two of them did not have a successful kill except for the slime in the entire day. Nevertheless, he found some of the SYSTEM uses. For example, he can now scan other monster that is in the same realm of him. Although it can only show some of the information and not all of it, he is more than happy with such use.

Shadowslash then had a good night sleep with his fox family.

Morning came, Shadowslash was playing with his sisters with the game called tag when they became hungry. Their mom would often hunt food for them since such is the life of the little fox pups.

However, he got another plan in his mind. After playing with his sisters for hours, Shadowslash then came to his mother and told her that he will be exploring again. His mother then warned him not to go too far and return before sundown.

Shadowslash then goes to where Sans is and brought him to hunt again. They were traveling when they saw a Fanged Rabbit. He then decided to make this their prey.

Both Sans and him were hiding in the bushes waiting for the unsuspecting rabbit to be ambushed when the rabbit finally came close to them. Sans pounce on it and use his bony arms to smash the head of the rabbit.

After killing the rabbit, Shadowslash then started to feast on rabbit even though it is raw. He got used to eating raw food that his fox mom brought to him so this is his new normal way of living now.

He then brought some of it home and shared it to his sisters. When his mother saw him bringing some meat she immediately thought that he fought some monsters that his small body can not withstand. She might be happy that he could be a prophetic fox but she wanted him to learn slowly but surely; not taking more than he can chew is what she told him. Due to fear and worry for him, she started reprimanding him telling him that it was very dangerous at his age.

"Mom I saw this meat when I was exploring through the forest, I am not the one who killed it"

"Are you sure?" he immediately nodded while in his mind 'I did not lie to you it was Sans that killed it'

Then night came, they have dinner and played some more until they all slept.

The following morning, their mother brought them outside and it seems she has something to say.

"My darling today I will teach a skill" When Shadowslash heard this his eyes lit up. To have a skill was something he really, really wants.

"The skill is Fireball. Our fox race is actually very good at conjuring flame attacks and illusion so I know you can master the skill"

She then demonstrated how to shoot a fireball to show them the skill which they will be using. After that, she told them the process in doing it.

Firstly, gather elemental energy and conjure it into a ball before firing it.

Shadowslash and his sisters started practicing how to fire a fireball.

'But I don't have any attributes'

Shadowslash then used [Fireball] in front of his fox family. His sisters looked at him with admiration while his mother looks at him with suprise and delight.

"Mom, I will be exploring the forest again don't worry I'll be extra careful and besides I now have a skill so I have strength to defend myself"

His mother nodded but still reminded him to be very careful even though he gained a skill and he shouldn't be too proud.

Shadowslash nodded and left. He went to where Sans is and brought him again to hunt.

They were exploring the forest for at least an hour when they found some monsters, but they were too weak compared to the monster they know.

When Shadowslash was just about to call it a day, he suddenly saw a ferocious looking boar. He use the SYSTEM and scanned it. He found out that it was Level 4 Iron Tusked Boar. Shadow decided to kill it he while using 3 of his skill points to upgrade his level 0 Fireball into level 3 Fireball. Its attack power was strengthened by 60%.

Shadow then use the same method as they did when they killed the Fanged Rabbit. They waited for the Iron Tusked Boar to come closer. When it was in position, Sans pounced on it and bashed its head.

The boar was startled and was cleanly hit in the head by Sans attack. It got dizzy, now Shadowslash followed it with a [Fireball] blasting the boar. It seems Shadowslash aim and control of the skill was still not good. He was aiming at the boar's head but hit its body instead.
