Inhuman Warlock Chapter 337

"I'll do that," Drak agreed.
"That's good. I also want to stop all incoming and outgoing communication in the Capital City at my command. Can you do that?" Lucifer further asked Drak.
"That will be hard, but I think I can crash their communication," Drak affirmed.
"That'll be perfect then. You're responsible for doing the two things. Now about the most important thing. Kellian and Yaliza... I want you two to..."
....
After the planning was completed, it was decided that everyone was going to leave tonight for the Capital City. There was to be no delay.
Everyone left the meeting room, with Lucifer leaving last.
Leaving the room, Lucifer noticed a group standing at the doors.
"Veracity, you're here," he said, smiling.
"Congrats, I suppose. You actually did it," Veracity said, smiling.
"Not yet. There's still a long way to go," Lucifer replied.
" And what are you doing here, Henny?" he further asked, noticing another man there.
It seemed to be a scientist in white robes who was standing with a silver suitcase in his hand.
Lucifer immediately recognized him as the person he had seen before. It was the same bearded man who he met at the Uprising base when he was there.
He was the man who had given Lucifer the description of the battle gear last time. He was also the man who worked as a researcher at the Uprising Base.
" Are you here to join the battle? We might need you more in the lab though," Lucifer said, thinking that this guy was here to join the battle.
He didn't even know if Henny could fight or what powers he had, but what he did know was that they couldn't afford to lose this guy since he was an important person in the research department.

"Don't worry; I'm not here to fight. I'm here for something else," Henny answered. "Can we talk inside?"
"Sure." Lucifer walked back inside the room with Henny. Kellian and a few others also stepped inside.
"So, what is it about?" Lucifer inquired as he sat on a chair.
"A few things. First of all, congratulations for taking over the APF," Henny said, congratulating Lucifer. "And secondly, I'm here to give you something."
"Give me something? What?" Lucifer asked, wondering what it was.
Henny placed the chunky silver briefcase on the table and slid it towards Lucifer.
"The code is Four Two Zero Seven. You should open and see for yourself," he let out, smiling.
Lucifer used the code which was given to him by Henny.
Click!
With a click sound, the briefcase was unlocked. Lucifer slowly opened it, wondering what could be inside.
"Hmm? Clothes?" As he opened the briefcase, he was able to see a set of clothes inside.
"Not ordinary clothes. A full set made, especially for you with Cardigan Particles. I don't know what happened to the last pants we gave you, but this is a complete set. It'll cover most of your body, and we even tried to make it somewhat modern looking," Henny said, smiling.
"Go on and try it."
Lucifer picked up the article of clothing, which happened to be on top. It seemed like a darker shade of pants.
Nothing seemed extraordinary about them, but they were lighter than anything he ever saw.
Moreover, he had already used something made from Cardigan Particles in the past. He knew how special these things were, despite looking so ordinary.
He placed the pants on the side and picked up the next article of clothing, which seemed like a coat, looking slightly unique.

As Lucifer was looking at this coat from the back, he could see a dual tone. It had a lighter shade of Violet in the lower part and a darker shade of Violet near the shoulder portion.
A few Golden Patterns were also visible on the coat, which seemed like a mix between a normal coat and an overcoat.
He turned the coat to the front to be amused.
"It looks much better from the front than from the back. Not bad," he commented as he noticed the front.
The gold pattern which was on the back was even more prominent on the front, making the design look more thought-out.
There was also a shirt under everything in the bag, which also seemed to be similar. There was also a vest in the bag.
Lucifer kept putting everything to the side as he continued checking everything that was in the bag.
It was only in the end when he found something which really made him happy. There was a pair of black gloves. He instantly understood what they were.
Without waiting, he took off his old gloves and wore the new one.
"Since you're going on a battle, I thought it was a good idea to bring your battle gear here personally. As Kellian told me about everything, I immediately left," Henny said.
"I appreciate it. You came at the right time," Lucifer commented.
"I'll get dressed in these. All of you wait outside," Lucifer commanded others.
Everyone vacated the room as per his command. It was only then that Lucifer took off the old clothes and wore his battle gear.
As he finished wearing the clothes, he tried stretching his body to test the comfort of these clothes.
It did feel odd to wear clothes that were so light, but other than that; there was nothing strange. They were pretty comfortable.
This time, however, he didn't test the clothes by hurting himself since he was sure that the clothes worked as Henny described.
Next, he wore the special pair of shoes, which were also made in the Uprising Lab.
As he finished preparing, he kept the other items, including the old gloves, in the silver briefcase again.
He left the room to meet the others.
"You… look good," Alicia commented as she saw Lucifer in new clothes.
"I agree," Veracity chimed in.
"Thank you," Lucifer let out casually before he shifted his attention to Henny. "Can you make a battle gear for Cassius as well?"
"Cassius? Who?" Henny inquired, confused. He didn't know anyone by the name of Cassius.
"Him." Lucifer pointed towards Cassius.
"We can make it, but it'll take at least a few days. It can't be prepared before your time to leave," Henny explained.
"If I had known before, maybe I would have been able to make one more. But he'll have to fight without battle gear for now."
"I understand that. Just keep his battle gear ready in any case. It doesn't matter how long it takes. It can be something for the future," Lucifer said, not seeming to be in a hurry.

Ars Magica
Our vision comes back into focus. Our eyes, while being able to perceive the immediate surroundings, still leave us with our minds uncomprehending towards what is actually occurring. Sure, there are definitive things that we can focus on, like the fact that we're either out upon the open sea or the open ocean, there not being much of a difference with no land in sight, as well as the fact that we appear to be upon a haphazardly constructed metal boat, whose seams are barely able to keep a hold of themselves in the crashing waves. However, that does not let us understand what exactly is causing the waves in the first place. If we were to rewind time, we'd find ourselves upon a calm sea under a peaceful sky with the only difference, being a small whirlpool that would be the precursor towards this uproar around the boat. Lightning flashes in the sky, with no clouds being near, and anyone actually manning the boat has either died towards the cause of the smashing tides in the first place, or are fighting amongst the flashes of lightning, all while trying not to become devoured, demolished, and utterly decimated by the beast roiling in the whirling waves. To better understand exactly what is happening here, there is one singular event that needs to be understood, that needs to be explained, and that is the arrival of a creature named Dave. Stepping back from current events and going towards this creature's first appearance in the world, we begin to hear the sound of water slowly dripping across rocky ground. The cavern is utterly silent except for this one constant, its cause feeding channels downwards, sloping towards cracks in the rubble along the floor from broken stalagmites and stalactites. And there, lying on top of something which had fallen over recently, judging from its cracks, is a person, the creature named Dave. His form is fast asleep, either from the impact or from an intoxication, judging from the smell upon its breath. A bright light suffuses into it for a second, giving life towards the pale skin, before it slowly dies down back to the comfortable black of the cave that it's within. Before this moment in time, Dave did not exist in the physical world. At least, not in the reality that he finds himself born into. We do not know whether or not his existence is simply a cosmic joke, or something that is being played out on purpose. All that we do know, is that one moment, the body was not in the cave, and simply formed in the next. The actual earliest time that we know Dave exists, is the interpolation of the memories of J-209, which we'll begin looking into shortly to gain context towards the coming narrative that is being written and hastily trying to keep itself written. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Warning: This story has several things which might turn its readers away. The first is that this story has shifting points of perspective. Don't worry about that previous sentence too much though, as the main character will always have a first person perspective associated with them. However, any other character from which we're viewing the story from will either be in third-person, as we are not necessarily in their shoes at the moment, or in first person, given that the narrator is an actual physical presence within the story. For the most part, chapters will be self-contained with their perspectives, so there will not be an abundance of switching perspectives within the same chapter. The most that an average reader would have to worry about is the fact that perspectives can switch between chapters. The second thing is that the main character is a bit on the 'special' side of things. He's not exactly mentally there most of the time, so there will be some times that his personality or his thoughts do not actively align with his actions. The third, and final thing of importance, is the fact that past the first couple of chapters, nothing has been planned in advance. There are arcs and plots that I want to do, want to implement, or have already been set into motion from our main character's introduction to the world, but the method that I use for my story writing and generating leads towards a bit more random chance being enabled. Basically...there's a lot of dice rolling behind the scenes. To not complicate the story further than its regular LitRPG elements, the rolls will not be publicly available. However, there will be knowledge within the author's notes on whether or not there were positive or negative critical rolls that had occurred within the chapter. You have been warned. Updates: Mondays & Fridays (Schedule permitting) Typical Chapter Length: (2,000-3,000)

Majority Rule
Readers choose from a selection of options for participants of a survival game show known as "Can Anyone Beat Level 10?". Each level has some monsters to kill and a boss at the end. Treasure chests and traps are available. Treasure chests, if opened successfully, give decent weapons, first aid kits, etc. If unsuccessful, treasure chests will either explode, taking some health from player or do become permanently closed. Monsters in dungeon levels depend on the theme of the week. This game show occurs on the first week of every month. The game just showed up out of nowhere and many people were interested in it as they attended the live version of the show. As for its mysteries...well, who knows? Maybe someone will solve them some day. But, for now, let the games begin! This is a story that depends on the votes of the viewers using the poll system. I will probably wait a week or so per poll in order to accumulate enough votes. After the week is up, viewers can still vote but it won't affect the story. This is my first interactive fiction so it might not be on par with the better ones. Nevertheless, I hope you enjoyed reading this story. Thanks.
