Qin Gengxin looked at Xian Guiying for a moment. She thought he would let her go, but he suddenly put his arm around her shoulder and pressed her down. He then revealed the ruffian appearance that best suited him.

Xian Guiying's face turned red and blue in the blink of an eye. Her hands hit his shoulder. "Let me go!"

Still, Qin Gengxin looked at her with a beaming smile. The gleam of his eyes had finally returned. He was no longer as gloomy as before. "Kiss Me."

"Qin Gengxin!" Xian Guiying realized that she could never do anything to him. She's clearly a woman, and he's a man!

"Hmm, I'm here." He only replied with a small laugh. He put his arms around her waist, making her lie on top of him. He pressed her body tightly against his, as if he didn't want to let her go at all.

Xian Guiying lay on his body, her head lowered as she looked at him. "The rash on your face is too ugly," she said.

"That won't stop you from kissing me, did it? I'm a graceful and handsome man, how can some rashes on my face affect my beauty?"

Xian Guiying immediately rolled her eyes. He's always like this! What did she like about him?

She tried to get up, but he hugged her tightly. The button on Qin Gengxin's pajamas was slightly open, exposing his collarbone and shoulders. There were scratches and redness on them, a sign that he had just been scratched and pinched by Xian Guiying.

She suddenly no longer dared to use force to hurt him.

Qin Gengxin pressed Xian Guiying under him. His hand went under her shirt, unbuttoned it, and lowered his head to kiss her slender neck. However, his movements became slower and slower, until suddenly he fell from her body and lay on her side.

Xian Guiying hurriedly got up, buttoning her shirt. She saw him lying on the floor with a pale face, his beautiful eyebrows furrowed, and his breathing so ragged that it didn't seem like it was coming from his body.

Xian Guiying was stunned for a moment, then she hurriedly went to him and asked, "What happened to you?"

Qin Gengxin sighed, but it looked like he was really upset and could only shake his head slightly.

Xian Guiying touched his forehead and was immediately startled by the scorching temperature. It was hotter than previous times and she hurriedly helped him up, told him to sit on the couch as she went to get a thermometer.

A few minutes later, she noticed that his temperature had increased. "You need to go to the hospital."

Xian Guiying went to the pharmacy to take the medication prescribed by the doctor and as she went back to the wards, she saw a doctor doing an examination next to Qin Gengxin's bed.

Xian Guiying walked closer and looked at Qin Gengxin, who was sleeping. His face was still paler. There was an IV drip in his hand.

Xian Guiying placed the plastic bag that contained medicine on the table next to the bed while watching the doctor do some examination on Qin Gengxin's body.

The doctor noticed symptoms on his body, including a rash. He glanced at Qin Gengxin's face, then saw a small wound on his lips that looked like he had been bitten, and said, "We will receive the blood test results in about three hours. Since the patient has had a high fever, he needed to rest here for a few days."

When Xian Guiying turned around, the doctor saw the same small bite mark on her lips. His mouth twitched and he raised a hand to his mouth and cleared his throat.

The doctor deliberately removed Qin Gengxin's collar, displaying small bruises on his shoulder as well as several scratches on it. He didn't mind his words when he said, "Since the patient is already suffering from a high fever, don't do something so intense."

Xian Guiying was immediately stunned. She stared blankly at Qin Gengxin's shoulder, then saw a small bruise on his pale lips. She immediately reacted and felt her face become a little hot as she quickly denied the doctor's words, "Doctor, we didn't--"

"Alright, feed the medicine to the patient once he wakes up. After that, please come and see me." The doctor didn't want to listen to her explanation and left the ward without looking back.

Xian Guiying didn't know if she wanted to laugh or cry. Just as she was about to pour a glass of water for Qin Gengxin, she saw his eyes twitching slightly. It was obvious that he was not sleeping.

Under her disdainful gaze, Qin Gengxin slowly smiled, then slowly opened his eyes. He smiled at her with some ridicule in his eyes.

Qin Gengxin obediently raised his head and ate the medicine. Once he was done, Xian Guiying put down the glass before going out to meet the doctor. Just as she was about to leave, her wrists were suddenly grabbed from behind.

She looked over her shoulder. "I need to see the doctor."

"Guiying." Qin Gengxin looked at her but didn't say anything. Even so, his eyes seemed to be filled with endless words.

Xian Guiying tried her best not to stare into his eyes. "If you want to talk about something, we'll discuss it later. I'll go to the doctor first."

However, he held her wrist tightly.

Xian Guiying frowned and stared into his eyes. "Qin Gengxin!"

"I love you." He whispered while looking at her intensely.
