My Little Sweet Wife Chapter 682

Qin Gengxin acted as if he didn't see her. He returned to his temporary bedroom while clutching the wall.
Qin Wenqian's toy injection was still held high in the air. She blinked her eyes in confusion when she saw Qin Gengxin walked away from her, then she turned to Xian Guiying, "Mommy, I'm going to give him an injection. Is he afraid of needles?"
Xian Guiying walked over and placed the plastic bag on the coffee table and washed her hands. As she did so, she said, "Qianqian, drink milk first, then eat the bread. The kindergarten bus will be here soon."
Qin Wenqian responded with an "oh" and tossed the toy injection aside. Then, she ran to Xian Guiying and lifted her little hand, asking her mother to wash it for her.
"Have you washed your face?"
"No."
Xian Guiying picked up the child and took her to the bathroom. After washing Qin Wenqian's face and brushing her teeth, she heated the milk and cut the whole wheat bread into slices. She placed it on a plate in front of the child.
"Mhmm, yummy!"
When Xian Guiying returned to the bedroom, she saw Qin Gengxin was holding onto the bed, looking for something.
"Stop looking for your clothes. I've washed them." She stated.
Qin Gengxin paused for a moment before slowly turning around and glancing at her indifferently.
Xian Guiying didn't give him too much face as she calmly said, "I'll be sending Qianqian to the kindergarten bus in a moment. From your condition, your fever hasn't subsided yet, so don't try to show off."
Finishing her words, Xian Guiying walked back to the living room. After Qin Wenqian finished her breakfast, Xian Guiying helped put the coat on her and helped her put her cute little bag on her back.
Xian Guiying held her daughter's hand and was about to leave the house when she heard a slight noise behind her. The mother-daughter pair subconsciously turned around and saw Qin Gengxin, who was wearing only boxer shorts, standing in front of the bedroom door, looking at them.

Qin Wenqian blinked and looked at him. Then, she looked at Xian Guiying without expression. "Mommy?"
"Let's go." Xian Guiying's gaze withdrew from Qin Gengxin's face and pulled Qin Wenqian out of the door.
Xian Guiying took the child to the kindergarten bus. After sending her daughter off, she walked back to her apartment.
The apartment was relatively quiet and the silence made some of the chaos in her heart become more apparent.
Upon entering, she saw Qin Gengxin sitting on the couch in the living room. His already pale skin turned whiter due to a high fever. He sat on the wide couch silently with his eyes closed.
Xian Guiying didn't say anything. She went inside the bathroom, took out a thermometer, and handed it to him.
Qin Gengxin opened his eyes slightly and saw the thermometer in her hand.
"Take it. I'd like to know how much your fever has gone down."
Qin Gengxin didn't move. With a frown, he said lightly, "Give me back my clothes."
The meaning was very clear. He didn't need her care and just wanted to leave.
Xian Guiying controlled her anger and grabbed his arm, putting the thermometer under his armpit.
Qin Gengxin didn't struggle at all. He merely glanced at her domineering actions with a dark look in his eyes.
"Do you know how much fever you had last night?" Seeing him like this, Xian Guiying couldn't take it anymore and finally shouted in anger. "40 degrees! How many days have you been like this? Do you not want your life anymore?"
Qin Gengxin sighed softly and closed his eyes, not saying a word.
Seeing him in such a state, Xian Guiying gritted her teeth in anger. She could not believe that the person in front of her was Qin Gengxin!
She tried her best to restrain herself when she said in a calm voice, "I'll cook porridge for you."

After saying that, she walked towards the kitchen.
Qin Gengxin didn't move or say a word. He didn't open his eyes until he heard the sound of chopping come from the kitchen. He looked over his shoulder, at Xian Guiying.
The kitchen door was open, and all her movements were reflected in his eyes.
Qin Gengxin took off the thermometer and looked at the temperature. He then put it aside carelessly and looked at her, asking in a low voice, "When did you start to learn to cook?"
When he asked this question, Xian Guiying's movement didn't stop. She turned on the electric pot, put the vegetables into the rice, then cracked an egg into a pan to make an omelet.
As she busied herself, she said without looking back, "After I gave birth to Qianqian."
Qin Gengxin just stared at her.
In his memory, no matter how strong Xian Guiying was, she was the only one who wasn't good at cooking. In the last few years, she had always liked to stay by his side, accompanying him to business banquets until late at night and eating outside when they were both hungry.
There's one time when Qin Gengxin was so busy that he told her to go to the kitchen and cook whatever she wanted. The fridge had noodles and eggs, as well as some vegetables he bought yesterday.
At that time, Xian Guiying agreed to his offer before entering the kitchen. In the end, not even 20 minutes later, Qin Gengxin smelled a strange and burning smell. He walked into the kitchen and saw that the kitchen was in a mess.
Only then did he realize that Xian Guiying didn't know how to cook. She didn't even know how to cook noodles.
Qin Gengxin didn't know whether to laugh or cry when he helped her tidy up the kitchen. Afterward, he casually cooked two plates of fried noodles for her and for him. At the time, Xian Guiying said with a puzzled face that she never thought Qin Gengxin knew how to cook.
Qin Gengxin's usual lifestyle was really unreliable and he was a man who had lived alone for so many years. If he didn't have time to cook his own food, then he could only order takeout all day. Besides, as a man, he wasn't used to having people serve him. Unlike Xian Guiying, who had her mother travel thousands of miles to the United States to accompany her and take care of her.
At the time, he didn't say much and just told her to eat and go back to rest.
After the wedding, he didn't care about Xian Guiying's problems and didn't know what kind of life she was going through. He just thought that Dalisay and Darna had taken good care of Xian Guiying and Qin Wenqian in the villa, so he was adamant in his heart that he owed her nothing.
But when he saw how she cut the vegetables neatly and when he caught a glance at all the stuff in the kitchen, only now did he realize something.
So it turned out that he had already really missed out on her life so much.
Xian Guiying was busy making an omelet when she said, "When Qianqian started eating supplementary foods, I decided to cook the food personally for her, from eggs to noodles. So you don't have to be afraid that I'm going to poison you to death. Even if the food I make isn't very tasty, it's enough to fill your stomach. It won't be bad enough to make people want to vomit."
