My Little Sweet Wife Chapter 467

Jiang Ruolan hugged him tightly. "You said I was a hedgehog and had been hurt many times since I was young, so I learned how to use thorns to protect myself. I would stab everyone around me. I knew I was hurting you, I know. At the time, I didn't know how to deal with it. To be honest, I still haven't faced it. Anyway, my mother was already dead, and I'd rather not losing anyone anymore. Zihao, once we're out, can we go home together? Let's go home."
She kept talking non-stop, just hugging him as tightly as she could, not wanting to let him push her anymore.
Yet Xian Zihao didn't speak for a long time. Only when she pressed her face against his uninjured shoulder and continuously let her tears fall on his neck did she faintly hear a soft sigh by her ear.
Jiang Ruolan slowly let go of him, wanting to see his expression, but just as she was about to let go, an arm snaked around her waist, and her body was pulled into his embrace by a single pull.
The water droplet on his rain-soaked hair slowly moved down, landing next to her eyebrows. "I waited day after day for you to let it go, but you forced me to divorce you in a way that was too cruel and too decisive. Your attitude was too firm, so I had to let it go. I couldn't force you to hurt yourself in a more cruel way. I know you were just scared back then."
Jiang Ruolan just buried her face in his shoulder and greedily inhaled the smell of his body. Even though there was a strong smell of blood on his body, she knew that he was right next to her. Even though they were surrounded by dark trees, she was no longer afraid.
Xian Zihao's voice was weak, and even in the end, he still hugged her gently as he comforted her, "We have to think of a way to leave this place."

"Yes." Jiang Ruolan nodded obediently in his arms.
Xian Zihao sighed lightly. "Be good and don't be afraid."
As his voice grew weaker, Jiang Ruolan immediately looked up to see his eyes glazed over, but he was still looking at her. Panicking, she lifted her hand to check on the wound behind his head. "Zihao, how are you feeling?"
Xian Zihao forced a smile, and with a soothing look in his eyes, he said in a low, barely audible voice, "I'm fine. It's too cold down here. Sit over here and don't catch a cold."
Jiang Ruolan sat next to him, curled up close to him. She took the flashlight and shone around, "You're hurt too badly right now. Zihao, I have to find a way out."
"There's no road there. The mountain walls are too slippery, so it's hard to get out." Xian Zihao coughed again, and the blood in the corner of his mouth gradually increased.
Jiang Ruolan was anxious. Xian Zihao had fallen from such a high height, so she did not know how bad his condition was but now was not the time for her to cry. She looked at the dark sky and the rain started getting heavier again. She looked at the trees and the ground beneath her feet.
Jiang Ruolan took her phone out of her bag. There was still half a battery in her phone and then she picked up Xian Zihao's phone on the ground and looked at the two phones together, hoping to see the signal, maybe even a message. But after so long searching, there was no signal on the two phones with only half of their batteries left.
She put down their phone sadly and shone the flashlight again on Xian Zihao's face. She saw his face was pale as he leaned against the mountain wall with his eyes half-closed. It was unknown what he was thinking.

Jiang Ruolan looked at him for a moment, and seeing that he was not moving, she quickly tugged on his sleeve. "Zihao?"
Seeing no movement, Jiang Ruolan quickly squatted down next to him and looked at him with a panicked expression. "Zihao, don't fall asleep!"
Xian Zihao's half-closed eyes gradually opened. He looked at her, then held her hand gently. His hands were cold, no longer as warm as before, but still able to comfort her. "Natural disasters and man-made disasters are uncontrollable. No matter what happens next, Ruolan, you must survive. For the sake of our children, and for my sake, hmm?" His voice was soft, low, and hoarse. His slightly distracted gaze gradually refocused as he looked at her with a gentle smile.
Jiang Ruolan shook her head vigorously and didn't say anything. She simply hugged him tightly. "We'll definitely get out of here alive!"
Although she knew that someone would really come to their rescue, she did not know how long they would take. Xian Zihao's body grew colder and she didn't know how serious his fall was. A mild cough was enough to make him cough out blood, and with wounds on his shoulders, legs, and head, it was enough to make her understand that if they did not leave this place as soon as possible and if he continued to be like this for an hour or two, his life will only gradually deteriorate.
Xian Zihao didn't refute her. Instead, he lightly patted her shoulder and lightly breathed into her ear.
The whole forest was so quiet that it was practically empty. In the darkness, there was only a weak flashlight shining on them. The rain was heavy, and through the thick foliage, it made people feel cold yet very clear-headed. Perhaps it was because of the cold rain, Xian Zihao did not close his eyes again.
After an unknown period of time, Jiang Ruolan suddenly lifted her head from his shoulder and looked at his pale, bloodless face. She raised her hand and touched his bloodless lips, "Zihao, how are you feeling? I don't dare waste my flashlight and cell phone batteries. When the rain stops, I will use cell phone lights to illuminate this forest, there will definitely be someone noticed about it. You have to hold on, if you feel uncomfortable, tell me. Don't forget, although I'm not a doctor, but I have worked in a clinic before, so I can try a little bit to treat your injuries."
Jiang Ruolan's eyes dimmed as she talked about the injuries. She lowered her head to look at his injuries, from his legs to his shoulders, then looked at his pale face. Her voice was still filled with determination.
Xian Zihao smiled and shook his hand, "Alright, I'll definitely tell you when I feel unwell. Just sit here and relax. Don't keep staring at me. Aren't you tired?"
"Not tired."
Xian Zihao laughed again and sighed softly. "I've heard that when women fall in love, they become the world's most foolish fools. It seems like those words are true."
Jiang Ruolan didn't blush and she wasn't shy either. She just shook her head and said seriously, "That's right. All women are stupid when they fall in love."
Xian Zihao's gaze was calm and gentle, with a hint of a smile on his face. If it wasn't for his pale face, if it wasn't for his gaze that was constantly shifting, occasionally focusing, Jiang Ruolan would forget their current situation.
She tried her best to smile, "I love you, Xian Zihao. I love you."
