Chapter 151: Old Friends, New Acquaintancess
Translator: GravityTales Editor: GravityTales
“Today is the time for you all to demonstrate your own abilities. First, I’d like to introduce the seven main characters of today, they are the new Summoner students!”
Dean Xiao didn’t have much to say, and he didn’t let other teachers talk after him. He firmly went right into today’s event.
Maybe there were a couple of new students holding onto the attitude of laying low in the beginning, and thus not wanting to participate in the Beast Battle Competition this time. However, after they heard that speech, perhaps the majority of them were no longer able to hold onto that same thought.
They had won against all of their competitors during their High School Magic Exams, so why did they have to hold on their tails now?
The school won’t give those rare resources to you for no reason, especially when you’ve done nothing. In this institution, you had to compete, harshly compete!
The seven brothers of the Gourd Evas walked onto the tall stage under the shouts of the audience.
“Perhaps there are a lot of people who are dissatisfied with this. Why should these Summoner students become the focal point of the entire school the second they enter the school?
“Don’t worry! If you defeat them, you’ll be the real main characters of today!” Dean Xiao declared loudly.
The entire arena began to erupt, especially the new students. They were all impatiently wanting to jump onto the stage and fight a war!
—
“Eh, how come it’s you?” In the designated seating area for the Earth Elemental students,a sweet and gentle looking girl was filled with astonishment as she looked towards the Summoner students on the stage.
“Xiaomian, is there anyone you know?” Li Junwei, who had sat down shamelessly sat next to her, raised his eyebrow.
“Uh…I guess you can’t say that I know him,” Qin Xiaomian shook her head.

She really didn’t. Back when the guy had come to her Master’s shop to Awaken, he probably forgot the appearance of the girl apprentice who was present.
However, what Qin Xiaomian was astonished about was that the youth who was recommended by a Judge from the Magic Courts was actually a student at Pearl Institute like her!
-Master, Master!- Qin Xiaomian hurriedly fished out her phone as she sent a text message to her master, Guo Liyu.
-What is it, my apprentice?- the Awakening Master Guo Liyu quickly replied.
-I found the young Intermediate Magician that came to us for Awakening an year ago, precisely the one that was recommended by the Magic Court…- Qin Xiaomian typed her reply very quickly.
-Where? Aren’t you in school?-
-Yes, he is actually one of the new students in Pearl Institute. Furthermore, he seems to be studying the Summoning Element!-
-Holy crap, this kid only Awakened the Summoning element an year ago, and he relied on that exact Element to enter the Pearl Institute?!?!?!- Guo Liyu replied back excitedly.
-Yes, yes, this person is strong!-
-Then go and get to know him and enter a relationship. Most of the people from the Magic Courts have an unlimited potential for future prospects!-
-Master, what are you saying?!- Qin Xiaomin’s small face turned red, her mouth began to quiver.
All of this was naturally seen by Li Junwei’s eyes.
Li Junwei’s gaze immediately locked onto the only person among the seven summoner students who he knew, and his face immediately froze.
_Qin Xiaomian is my dish, whoever dares to fight with I, Li Junwei, about it, will die a painful death!_
—
“It’s him, hmph.” In the same area of the Earth Element, a boy whose body was clearly a bit chubby immediately turned gloomy.
This person was Luo Song.
He would never forget Mo Fan’s face.
However, Luo Song did not want to meddle with Mo Fan due to today’s situation.

A person who was an Intermediate Mage like him when they entered the school was definitely a person who was hard to deal with. Luo Song understood that he needed to take it slow with Mo Fan!
Furthermore, Luo Song didn’t plan on participating in the Beast Battle Competition.
If he was to use his true strength, then he could single-handedly annihilate all of the Summoned beasts!
—
On the other side of the arena, in the Lightning area, a guy with his hair standing up opened his eyes wide. He didn’t have a bit of confidence as he looked at the person in the middle of the seven people on the stage!
“Xu Zhaoting, what’s wrong??” a girl sitting next to him couldn’t help but ask. “Xu Zhaoting?” the girl pushed Xu Zhaoting’s arm.
Xu Zhaoting regained his senses, but the astonishment from before left a hint of dullness on his face.
“What’s wrong?” the girl asked worriedly.
“N…nothing, I happened to see my old classmate,” Xu Zhaoting replied slowly.
“Old classmate? Are you saying one of the seven new summoner students is your old classmate? If that’s the case, there shouldn’t be a need for you to look as if you lost your soul,” the girl told him smartly.
“You don’t know about him, that’s why you didn’t react like me,” Xu Zhaoting answered with a pained face.
“Then why don’t you tell me? Although the Summoning Element is special, and could be considered the strongest Element at the Primary level, it doesn’t mean that he will definitely be stronger than us in the future. Our Lightning Element has never been afraid of any other Elements!” the girl said with pride.
Xu Zhaoting shook his head. “In that case… when I knew him, he didn’t have the Summoning Element.”
“Didn’t have the Summoning Element? I don’t under…” The prideful girl suddenly realized something, the expression on her face became the same as Xu Zhaoting from before, filled with disbelief. “You…you’re saying… His main Element isn’t the Summoning Element… He….He is an Intermediate Magician?!”
Xu Zhaoting nodded, his gaze once again landing on Mo Fan.
To be honest, Xu Zhaoting had refused to accept Mo Fan in the past. He had thought of himself as the elite of his entire generation. However, Xu Zhaoting no longer had that kind of mindset. Whether it was the performance Mo Fan had made during the Practicals, the display of Dual Elements at the Mu Family, or the calm-headed actions he made during the calamity, they were all things Xu Zhaoting wasn’t able to do.
And now, Mo Fan had entered the Pearl Institute as a Summoner student. Xu Zhaoting really wished that person wasn’t Mo Fan. He tried to disbelieve it many times, but after he confirmed it was indeed Mo Fan, Xu Zhaoting had no choice but to accept this incredible thing!
“Then… then what Element did he have before? I heard that the Intermediate Magic requires a very complex array of Stars in their Nebula. Even if someone broke through the Intermediate level, it doesn’t mean they will be able to use Intermediate Magic. He shouldn’t be able to use the Intermediate spells, right?” the girl urgently asked.
Xu Zhaoting shook his head without replying.
Xu Zhaoting didn’t want to reveal too many things regarding Mo Fan. Since Mo Fan decided to conceal his others Elements and only display his Summoning Element, he must have his own reasons. If he revealed it, then he would be disrespecting the person who once saved the people of Bo City!
The girl noticed that Xu Zhaoting didn’t want to talk about the things in the past, and whispered reassuringly, “Since you haven’t seen him for more than a year, then his Summoning Element must have been recent. His strength shouldn’t be all that…”
“Yeah, shouldn’t be too strong,” Xu Zhaoting agreed, but his voice was unconvinced.

Grey Worlds
A mysterious incident occurred on a otherwise normal science centered world where all of the children from the age range of eight to sixteen suddenly vanished. “Where have their kids gone and will they ever return?” The now childless parents never got to really ask that question, because a strange new element replaced their lost children. This element slowly mutated the various animals that they once ruled over with their technology to the point that they were immune to their modern weaponry. The barren land of savages on a continent far away from theirs also had their children taken, but they easily mutated just like the beasts and only grew stronger thanks to the incident. A revolution of animals eventually took place after the mutations started to cause the animals to understand just how badly the humans ruined their lives and planet. Humans were the slowest to figure out how to use this strange new element to evolve, while their opponents were evolving and growing stronger by the day they couldn’t even surpass their modern technology. When humanity was on the brink of extinction a long forgotten event finally ended and their children finally started to return from the various worlds they were summoned to! It turns out that the mysterious new element that they didn’t know what to call was mana and that it’s everywhere in some fantasy planets. The children brought back a increase in technology and techniques to grow stronger with, which caused the humans to finally be able to build safe havens for their race. They grew stronger and started to finally adapt to their brand new environment. This is the story of a orphan who was taken away from his world, before he could gain a sense of attachment to the world. Who only has his older sister to care about and how he ends up adapting to the new world in front of him.------------------Dog notes by doggo First 'five' chapters aren't what the story is really about and is more of a prologue. The reason why some are separated into parts is because Doggo originally posted them as a entire chapter. The main setting is Ghost's actual world and not any foreign world. So this story was already posted once to another site or this site three years ago… and Dog is finally ending that three year hiatus! The explanation on why Dog was on a three year hiatus would of been written in the review section, but rrl doesn't allow self reviews. I'd have to create a alt just to self review which they obviously don't want even tho I'd not give myself any stars so its going to be here instead. The update schedule is a chapter a week till Dog get a editor and then two chapters a week till Dog gets enough money to pay for Dog’s bills. The final goal is to release a chapter every other day. Dog writes 4k word chapters so they are about twice as long as some of the other authors so every other day is actually more like once a day. ------------------- The part that was supposed to be the 'review' which Dog wont bother editing out repeat infomation since it wasn't supposed to go here in the first place. The first thing Dog will go over is what changed for the first 5 chapters, so that anyone who still remembers Dog's little novel and wants to continue from where Dog originally left off can decide whether or not to reread it. Also Dog is moving over to qidan simply because dog like the app they have. Dog won't go premium even if Qidan tells dog to and will simply move back to royalroad or create a blog. The things that changed over the years are mainly two important things. The first is that Dog changed the first person point of view to a third person, because Dog read a really bad first person novel and it reminded dog of dogs own novel. Dog also changed the thoughts of the character to be - - instead of italics. Finally dog changed chapter 3 completely to make the mc not seem like a homicidal maniac and introduced a important character in chapter 3.What happened to do in the three years that dog was away? Was dog at college and now needs money to eat? Was dog off in space after successfully becoming a astronaut and has now returned home with a completed novel or two? The answer is actually quite plain dog graduated from highschool and was supposed to only spend a year at dogs owners house to choose what major dog wanted to go to college for.Dog didn't do that and is still stuck with dogs owners and is sick of being a neet. Dog wants to move and buy doggy food, but dog is antisocial and doesn't want to work a simple 9 to 5 job for the rest of dogs life. Dog is a reader before dog is a author and the reason why dog got into writing was because dog wanted to write a novel without all the things dog finds annoying. Dog spent the first year reading various novels and dropping various novels. Dog is all caught up and has to much free time on dogs paws. The first year that Dog took off was the very same year that qidan came out so dog was naturally overloaded with free chapters. But now that pemium exists dog naturally has to limit the amount dog can read. Dog is addicted to reading like my very own readers and can understand your frustrations for dog disappearing for 3 years.Dog decided that dog will go back to writing 2 years ago. Dog wanted a decent stockpile incase dog has any other emergency so dog didn't post for a year but then dog decided to change the point of view which took another year.Dog has a patreon page https://www.patreon.com/mclaindog but there isn't any tiers there or goals till dog gets a editor. My final goal is to release a chapter every other day, but as long as Dog gets a editor Dog will do two free chapters a week.Dog will probably also make a kofi for anyone who just wants to send dog a tip and can't afford to donate money monthly while maybe having bonus chapters if the tip jar gets filled.
