Avatar Online Chapter 63

"See how easy it is? You only need 5 seconds to kill it. When you immobilize it, you just need to strike it at its weak point to kill it on the spot," Avi explained casually as if it was nothing.
"Yeah… So easy…" Liu Ye muttered with a sigh, realizing how long his journey will be. The Abilities she just used were only available at the higher levels so even if he had the Elemental Point, he couldn't master any of those.
"You should master the Ice Pillar, Ice Spike, and all the throwing Abilities," Avi advised as she walked back to him. "With those small ass shards, you will only tickle your enemies."
"Alright, I will try my best," Liu Ye nodded and opened his profile. "Give me one second."
Now that he thought about it, the loss of experience wasn't that bad as at least he learned how the farming worked in the Mainland. It was actually split between the players depending on how much damage they did to the target. Maybe the game wanted to eliminate boosting entirely and force everyone to contribute but it wasn't really fair to the weakest players.
He was yet to discover if there was Party Bonus or even the Kill Steal Bonus but that wasn't hard to test.
"Avi, would you mind weakening the next Ice Bear and let me kill it this time?" Liu Ye suggested as he searched the field for another target yet he forgot about the incoming sarcastic comments though.
"Oh my, did I hurt your ego by killing it?" Avi asked while covering her smile with her palm. "Come baby, I will help you get your first kill."
"..."
He couldn't make it better no matter what he said so Liu Ye ignored it as he learned the Phase Change. He was tempted to Master higher damage ability first but he needed access to water in such an environment.

[Ding! You unlocked Phase Change.]
[Phase Change]
[Description: Ability to manipulate different phases of water. Player can for example transform water into ice or water vapor at will. Player can also manipulate every phase of water in the surroundings.]
[Cost: 1 MP per second]
"Are you okay? You are spacing out," Avi questioned curiously as she waved her hand in front of his face. "I was just teasing you. Don't be upset."
"Don't worry, I'm not," Liu Ye assured, forgetting the NPCs didn't see his profile. "I was just having an enlightenment."
He crouched and touched the snow to test his new ability. Sure enough, the snow melted instantly, creating a big puddle of water. He could do the same with his foot which turned out to be more convenient.
"Oh, wow, you learned the Phase Change so fast?" Avi questioned with her eyes widened and grabbed his cheek with a frown. "Were you just playing with me earlier?"
"No, I told you. I was just enlightened and learned it," Liu Ye explained as he escaped her and rushed towards the next Ice Bear. "Let's go, we already wasted enough time."
[Time Left: 16:30:35]
Liu Ye only had a bit over sixteen hours of grinding left. He had to make the best use of it and get ahead of others so they don't ever catch up to him. The last time he checked the rankings, many players were already nearing the level 15 barrier.
Avi swiftly caught up to him and suddenly stopped in front of him. "Let's fly then!"
Her proposal was so unexpected but before he could do anything, Avi hugged him under his shoulders and stomped.
"Hold me tight!"
Her voice was the last thing he heard before a giant Ice Pillar catapulted them in the air. He wrapped his arms around her head just in time for her feet to burst with flames and prolong their flight.

"We are going to crush!" Liu Ye warned as he saw the hard ice getting closer but Avi simply burst with even more flames to slow them down.
They both crushed with a loud thud and slid on the ground with each other in their arms. She was underneath him so her soft body took the whole impact.
"Ouch, I didn't expect you to be so heavy…" Avi replied surprised before smiling as she hugged his head into her chest. "But we landed in a nice position, don't you think?"
Roar!
Just as she spoke, an Ice Bear bellowed right behind them but Avi simply extended her arm behind and shot a continuous stream of fire.
"Shut up! We are having a moment!" Avi scolded and returned back to Liu Ye who tried to escape her grasp. "Where did we finish? I think you are supposed to kiss me now."
"Don't you think we should kill that Ice Bear first?" Liu Ye suggested as he looked up at the burning bear.
Avi only smirked. "You have to kiss me before he reaches us then or else he might kill us."
"I didn't tell you yet but I have a girlfriend already," Liu Ye finally revealed. "Let's just get back to the training."
Avi didn't seem to care at all though and pursed her lips. "I don't mind. It's not like I plan to date you."
"But I mind," Liu Ye replied and pulled them both up from the ground just as the Ice Bear charged at them again. "Focus."
"Tch, I will get this kiss one day," Avi announced playfully before launching the counter charge. She sent a Fireball with each punch, causing a monstrous combo that just melted the Ice Bear's HP.
-90
-40
-180!
-40
Each Fireball dealt 90 damage without the crit while the burning dealt a surprising 40 damage per second. It only proved that even the basic abilities could deal a lot of damage with enough Elemental Power.
-900!
-900!
With the Ice Bear completely disoriented by the flames, Avi was like a bully, sending spikes left and right until she lowered it to just 100 HP.
"Baby, I have a gift for you!" Avi called out with a smile and Liu Ye was already on the move.
Multiple Ice Projectiles formed around him and he sent them all together at the Ice Bear's face.
[Ding! You killed the Ice Bear! You received a kill steal bonus of 1700 Experience and 4 gold.]
'I see… So one can get 20% rewards for a kill steal even though they didn't do much damage. It's not too overpowered but still encourages to kill steal more,' Liu Ye thought as he looked at his inbox. 'I guess it's better to farm by yourself since you can get a level difference bonus as well.'
"Nice babe! You finally got your first kill!" Avi called out happily as she hopped to his side. "Let's celebrate with a ki—"
"We are moving," Liu Ye cut her off as he dodged her embrace and ran in the direction of another Ice Bear. If he needed at least 12 Ice Bears for one Elemental Point, he didn't have time for games.
"Come on, I won't tell your girlfriend. It can be our little secret."
"Nope."
"Are you really rejecting a godlike Master like me?"
"Yes."
"Tch, now I want to see what girl managed to break your cold heart."
Liu Ye paused, imagining the exact scene, and shook his head. He didn't do anything wrong so he could just leave it all to Xu Yue.
'It would be fun to watch though…'

Fortuna Verto
A girl’s luck changes when her world changes upon itself, sending her back and forth between a world she knows and another that shouldn’t even exist. Working with her parallel self from that other world, the two must adjust to their alternate form when visiting the other’s world, as they search for a way to escape the chains of misfortune they are bound to. While this story is the conclusion of the trilogy, it is also fully capable of standing alone in its own light, as the world of Celese itself is no longer a place the characters will be journeying through. However, the events of the story are a spoiler for all previous books, in case that matters to anyone. This book has an additional chapter after the final chapter that represents the trilogy conclusion, and should not be read until all three books are read first. Fortuna Verto continues the events of Essentia Animus to advance society into a sci-fi interpretation of Celese, bringing events to a distant world of another star. At the same time, events interpret a real-world advancement into a similar sci-fi age of another planet that shares Earth’s galaxy, a planet that has also been linked by the Celesi Veil. English remains predominant in both worlds of the story, but the presence of both sides makes certain Aethyx terms stand out, while Earth-styled scientific terms will also stand in a powerful contrast. Instrumentation remains an important aspect of the Elemental Era, but the influence of the gift has grown distant after discovering the superiority of the elements. Harnessing the elements had eliminated some of the original limitations of instrumentation, allowing for a self-sustaining focal source that provides solutions to problems such as automation. This turns the development available from the previous modern-day sense of a fantasy to one that is deep-future. Finally, opening access to the passage across the veil will open this progress in comparison to a very similar deep-future parallel world without such fantasy elements, contrasting the laws of physics with the laws of elements in a convergence of time and space.

Tanka and Haiku
Overview TankaThe tanka poem is very similar to haiku but tanka poems have more syllables and it uses simile, metaphor and personifacation. There are five lines in a Tanka poem. Tanka poems are written about nature, seasons, love, sadness and other strong emotions. This form of poetry dates back almost 1200 years ago.HaikuHaiku poetry hails from Japan and uses strict syllable guidelines rather than focusing on meter or rhyme. Because the poem is short only three lines with 17 total syllables writers must choose words carefully to create meaning. Haiku poetry is typically simplistic, but its meaning can have great depth.
