Liu Ye looked around the building in surprise, not expecting they could cheat the system like that. As long as he had the help of the NPC, he could reach anywhere he wanted.

"Welcome to the Icefield Station!" The Station Official greeted him as he stepped down from the platform. "We are open all day and night so feel free to return back from training at any hour. Be careful though, the monsters in the area are more aggressive at night."

"Thanks, just waiting for my partner," Liu Ye informed and Avi appeared before he even finished speaking.

"Aww, you already introduce me as your partner?" Avi teased as she joined him and pulled him outside. "You are so cute. Let's go kill some bears."

"Bears?" Liu Ye questioned as he followed her towards the exit and figured out what she was talking about on his own.

Liu Ye only stepped out with one foot and was hit with a loud noise from the polar bear on drugs. The cold wind blew at his face as the bear rushed at them with its fangs bigger than his head.

"Good luck!" the Station Official called out happily and closed the door behind them. They were alone in the middle of nowhere with nothing but ice, snow and Ice Bears dominating the area.

"Come on, let's do it! I want to see how well you can fight," Avi called out excitedly as she suddenly stomped on the ground and bumped herself up on a thick ice block. "The eyes since they are their weakness!"

Liu Ye hoped he would receive some assistance from her but it seemed she just wanted to play with him. Too bad, he didn't have time to argue as the Ice Bear was already pouncing at him.

'Fuck!' Liu Ye cursed as he used Avi's pillar to dodge the Ice Bear's advance before drawing water from his Waterskin.

His first instinct was to use the snow and ice in his surroundings only to realize he didn't master the Phase Change ability. It allowed him to freely change the phase of water as well as draw water from any source.

Too bad, he was still sitting at the 95% Elemental Mastery.

"Why are you not using the snow around you?" Avi questioned but Liu Ye focused on the charging Ice Bear as he shot a Water Jet straight at its face.

Liu Ye felt like crying when he saw the pitiful damage. He was forced to duck again behind the Ice Pillar which made him look like a bullfighter.

"Oh my, how are you so weak?" Avi commented sarcastically which made it even words.

"I don't know the Phase Change yet!" Liu Ye informed as he switched to Water Projectiles which didn't require that much water. "Get me some water!"

If he had an unlimited source of water, he could shoot Water Jets constantly but if he were to use his Waterskin, it was basically useless.

Three Ice Projectiles struck the bear normally while the fourth one struck his eyes, dealing double damage.

The Ice Bear roared again and lost his vision for a second which also affected his aim.

"Damn!" Avi cursed as the Ice Bear paw smashed against the Ice Pillar, forcing her to jump away. "Bad Bear!"

She flew gracefully and flipped in the air with flames bursting out from her foot.

Flames exploded as soon as her foot touched the ground and spread around in an arc that melted the surface of the ice.

"Here you go. You wanted some water," Avi called out as she jumped away from the battlefield. "Go punish him now."

'Easy to say!' Liu Ye thought as he gulped a Medium Mana Potion and rushed into the pool of water. Even with resources, he still had to melt through more than 7,000 HP.

Ice Projectiles hit the target while the Ice Bear was turned around but its skin was so tough he barely did any damage.

"Only face!" Avi reminded him like a teacher. "Hit its eyes to blind him and then kite him around!"

"I know! Let me focus!" Liu Ye replied to shush her and began the assault as soon as the Ice Bear turned to him.

Water Jets gushed out from the ground one by one as the Ice Bear charged at him before Liu Ye ran in the opposite direction and repeated the same. It was a boring and slow tactic but Water Whips were too risky.

He didn't plan to approach a gigantic Ice Bear that could probably kill him with one swing of his paw. Even if he would survive it, Liu Ye didn't want to test his pain tolerance.

It took Liu Ye four potions and 4500 HP to actually get the last 5% of his Elemental Mastery. It was so slow now that he had to deal with more than 90,000 damage to get another point.

"Gosh, if you are so slow we will never leave this area," Avi complained after 2 minutes of watching him bashing the Ice Bear back and forth and finally joined the action. "Let me show you how it's done!"

She jumped in front of the charging Ice Bear and kicked in the Ice with her foot. It cracked momentarily and sent a wave of ice that exploded with an Ice Pillar right beneath the Ice Bear.

Even with the thick skin, Avi took a big chunk of the Ice Bear's HP and at the same time bumped it in the air. She wasn't done though as she waited for a second and then kicked two more times, once to the left and once to the right. This time Ice Spikes burst from the ice and impaled the Ice Bear from both sides.

The roaring of the Ice Bear filled the area as he tried to escape from the trap but Avi was faster and ended the Ice Bear's life the very next second.

An Ice Spear left Avi's hand and pierced right between the Ice Bear's eyes, killing it on the spot.
