Despite the rough start of the day, Zhenzhen acted as if nothing happened, enjoying her life to the fullest. She jumped out of Xu Yue's bedroom with her new bikini set and presented herself to Liu Ye.

"You are the cutest," Liu Ye praised with a nod of approval, helping her turn around like a ballet dancer. He couldn't help but be proud of her glow-up.

Leader Xu prioritized benefits in almost everything and giving her hand in marriage to him wasn't beneficial to them at all. Thankfully, Liu Ye didn't mind that at all.

"That's good. You should keep your distance from me then," Liu Ye suggested, only to bring the opposite effect as Xu Yue hugged him tightly. Her chest pressed against his own and her black striped bra slipped up, making her nipples touch him bare.

"I don't care what my father says. I live my life however I want it," Xu Yue replied with an unhappy stare. "If I want you to be mine, I will do whatever I can to achieve that goal."

"If someone sees us like this, I will be the one punished," Liu Ye replied coldly while his gaze remained unbothered. "Your courting methods involve getting me and my sister killed. I already told you what I will do if you endanger Zhenzhen."

"Should I then ignore my feelings and let you disappear the moment you get the chance? I can't do that," Xu Yue muttered as she bit on her lip. "I know you well. The moment you pay off your debt, you will be gone."

"If you knew me well then you would understand why I can't accept you," Liu Ye countered as he grabbed her shoulders and pulled her away. "You are beautiful and I would love to be with you but as long as you remain the Heiress of the Red Dragon Triad, it's not going to happen."

"And what if I leave?" Xu Yue asked back as she caught his arm when he tried to leave. "Will that solve everything?"

He paused and looked back with a face full of doubt. "Can you though?"

Just as he spoke, they heard an impatient call from Zhenzhen, "Guys, are you coming? I can hear the bubbles from the jacuzzi!"

"Leave it for now," Liu Ye said before Xu Yue replied and stepped forward to fix her bikini top. "Despite what I said, this place is the safest for the time being but once I kill the person hunting for me, I will take her away and we won't meddle with the underworld again."

He caressed her cheek when he was done and added, "Whatever you decide at that time, I will act accordingly."

"Can you hear me?" Zhenzhen asked confused as he returned back and Liu Ye finally pulled away from her, giving Zhenzhen deserved attention.

"Yes, we are coming," Liu Ye replied while pulling her towards the balcony. He didn't see but Xu Yue smiled as soon as he left, holding her cheek where he touched her.

She glanced at the painting on the wall and muttered happily, "Soon…"

After day one of Avatar Online ended, every player returned back to their activities in real life. For most of them, it was their work and Mei was one of them.

"Mei! You are late again!"

When she finally broke through traffic and reached her workplace, her boss was already waiting to scold her.

"I am sorry! There was traffic on the way! The police said the road was blocked due to some mass- shooting and I had to drive from the other side," Mei explained as she lamented in her mind. She promised herself to get off the game earlier but she ended up playing all the way till the servers closed.

Avatar Online was simply too good not to enjoy it fully.

Thankfully, her boss forgave her quickly as she let her walk to her office desk.

"Good that you heard about it. That is the exact job I prepared for you today," her boss replied as he checked the time. "I want to see the post on the blog by noon. This is the best story we had this whole week so you better do your best. If you can get us 10 million views in 24 hours, I will give you a raise."

Mei momentarily paled when she heard the number. "10 million?! Do you realize we barely get that number in the whole month?"

They were still a relatively new site yet he wanted her to compare with the top news sites.

"Well, isn't that why I'm giving you a raise if you succeed?" Her boss shrugged as he walked away. "Good luck!"

Mei already knew a single shooting would not get them this many views but a job was a job, something to pay her bills. She didn't waste time and got on her computer to check the materials she received.

It was a full video of the scene made with a civilian camera as well as multiple instances of the story being covered on TV. To her surprise, she saw someone she knew very well.

"Xu Yue?" Mei muttered as she recalled the girl's name that was the most popular girl in her high school. "To think she is from that Xu family…"

The story got suddenly more interesting, watching how Xu Yue headshots people like it's nothing but then something else piqued her interest.

It was Xu Yue's bodyguard that no one paid attention to in any of the news stations. She couldn't help but find him familiar.

"Where did I see him…?" Mei wondered as she watched multiple videos from different angles before get body shuddered from excitement.

"IT'S HIM!" Mei cried out while standing up abruptly, causing the whole office to look at her confused. She ignored them and sat back down, staring at the man's face.

"Those eyes… This hair and cheekbones… This has to be him…" Mei muttered excitedly, her smile widening further with each second.

She could recognize this face anywhere after she received so much bullying from him. Even though he could change his appearance, the way he carried himself couldn't be changed.

'Hohoho, don't worry boss… I will write you the best post of the month!' Mei thought with an evil grin as she opened a document and wrote the title of her post.
