Liu Duo was alone in the yard, silently sitting under the roof. After a long while, she had finished several drawings and stopped to look at her completed cartoon animals. She laughed, "You'll all bring me money, my sweet little dears."

She got up and headed to the kitchen. She took out some of the bamboo shoots that she had collected yesterday, washed them, and considered frying them for lunch.
