Monster Paradise Chapter 44
Yi Yeyu brought a group of 50 candidates, including Bai Yan, with her as she left the stronghold. Only 12 stayed behind of which Lin Huang was one of them.
“Since you guys are adamant about staying, you had better follow orders!” Yi Zheng told him sternly. “This is a battlefield, your own safety not only affects yourself but also the lives of others as well so you must follow orders. Understood?!”
“Understood!” They straightened their backs as they raised their voices in unison.
“What’s your name?” Yi Zheng turned towards Lin Huang.
“Lin Huang.”
“Very good, you’re the one who said you wanted to defend these 200,000 people. In that case, I’ll leave these kids to you. Your mission is very simple, to ensure their survival. Do you dare to accept this mission?” Yi Zheng said while laughing to himself. The purpose of this “mission” was to ensure Lin Huang did not take any unnecessary risks. He knew Lin Huang was an intelligent guy, he wouldn’t risk the lives of these teenagers.
“I accept.”
Lin Huang accepted while nodding his head. He was well aware of Yi Zheng’s motives but he had his own plans as well. Their team did not fit well with the other Hunters, and it was likely they did not want to leave their backs to a team of teenagers either. On the other hand, cleaning up a One-star Hinterlands was well within their capabilities.
Furthermore, these teenagers had witnessed his display of power, with some still suffering from injuries. They would definitely listen to him.
Seeing the other teenagers accept Lin Huang as their leader, Yi Zheng while not knowing about Lin Huang’s status as a Beastmaster, roughly guessed that he possessed some sort of hidden strength or background.

Just as they finished with their discussion, Yi Yeyu came back with 300 hunters. A large portion of these were Silver Hunters, with 23 of them being Copper Hunters and 5 Gold Hunters.
Most of them were clearly aware of Yi Zheng’s fame, judging from their reverent gaze. Even the 5 Gold Hunters showed him respect.
After dropping them off, Yi Yeyu immediately left while Yi Zheng began the work of organizing these hunters.
Soon they all had their assignments and dispersed. The 20 plus Copper hunters were sent to the canyons. The Silver Hunters were sent to clean up the snow mountains and the Gold Hunters were sent to cut out the giant boulders required for the choke point.
Her next trip brought back a total of 1,200 hunters of which were over a 1,000 Silver Hunters, 20 Gold Hunters and the rest Copper Hunters who had some sort of special ability or prowess.
Taking advantage of the momentary calm before the storm, Yi Zheng dispatched them to clean up duty.
Lin Huang and his team were sent to the canyon to aid with the clean up as well.
However, they had trouble finding any prey. After an hour of searching, they had a total of 0 kills. This was due to the low monster count in the canyon which was further reduced by the other hunter teams sent in with them.
“This is ridiculous, we’ve searched for so long and only found a couple of monster corpses. We even changed routes a few times.” A lanky teenager complained.
He was Zhou Le, one of the few who previously challenged Lin Huang, his face still bore the scars of his thrashing.
“Their efficiency is excellent. This is a good thing. The best outcome would be that we win without us having to lift a finger at all.” Lin Huang’s thoughts were the complete opposite of that boy, clear headed and rational.

“Lin Huang, do you think we will able to defend this stronghold?” Zhou Le asked while turning towards him.
“As long as we hold the choke point, defending for two days should be fine. I’m only afraid that…” He said with furrowed brows.
“Afraid that?”
“That the canyon opening is too large and that the monster horde might attack before they set up the defenses.” Lin Huang voiced out his concerns.
“Don’t be a foul mouth! We still plan on leaving this place alive and becoming a transcendent one day!” A fatty called Yu Guang immediately rebuked him. He was another person who had challenged Lin Huang a few days back. His face, like Zhou Le’s, still bore the scars of his endeavor.
“Don’t worry as long as I’m alive, I’ll ensure everyone here makes it out alive!” Lin Huang confidently declared.
“There’s traces of another party here, the monsters in front should have been wiped out. Let’s change routes.” Zhou Le said as he bent down and inspected the ground. He possessed a scouting skill which while not particularly high level, was still enough to pick up on such clues.
“Alright, which way?” Lin Huang believed in his skills as well.
“Two O’clock.” He said to Lin Huang after surveying the area.
“Zhou Le, are you sure you are correct? We’ve followed your directions for over an hour and we haven’t seen a single monster.” Yu Guang scolded him in a joking tone.
“Hey, it’s not my fault. There’s too many predators and not enough prey.” Zhou Le helplessly replied.
“If things don’t work out, Lin Huang should take the lead.” Yu Guang suggested.
“My specialty isn’t scouting. Let’s just follow Zhou Le’s lead. If there’s anyone who feels their scouting ability is up to the task, you can lead instead.”
Lin Huang rejected that suggestion. He knew his own limitations. While he learned basic scouting knowledge in school, in terms of practical experience, he was lacking compared to Zhou Le. There was no need for him to show off in a field he wasn’t proficient in. If anything went wrong, he would only embarrass himself.
Hearing Lin Huang’s response, no one volunteered to take lead and so Zhou Le remained their navigator.
After another 20 minutes of walking, they finally found a group of monsters. They immediately took cover.
It was a community of Minotaurs. There were over twenty of them with the tallest among them being an astonishing 5 metres tall, while the shortest still being a respectable 3 metres tall. Compared to the teenagers, they were monstrous.
However, minotaurs were not considered a part of the giant species but were instead of the beast species. As such their size weren’t necessarily an indication of their strength.
They were bipedal creatures like humans and wielded weapons with their hands. However, they possessed the head, hooves and tail of a bull.
They were a lot smarter than the other BlackIron monsters and possessed a religion of their own. They were frequently seen creating totems to boost their morale and strength.
That totem was now being guarded by the tallest among them.
“A total of 26 minotaurs and there’s even a religious totem. It can boost their combat strength by at least 10%. What’s the plan?” Zhou Le inquired in a low voice.
“Go set up a trap, I’ll lure them over by destroying their totem. All we simply have to do is wait for them to fall into our traps.” He said as he took out his Gray Eagle 17 and loaded his armor piercing bullets.

Stars Align
Eilif is excited at the prospect of helping integrate a new planet, bringing it, and its residents, into the light of the stars and teaching them about the new world they're about to be thrust into. However, his arrival in the new world isn't without a few hiccups and soon Eilif finds himself facing the denizens of this new world alone and without the stars he thought he'd have. Research Artificial Intelligence 031 (RAI 31 for short) has been shackled to an Argent Labs black site since it's inception almost five years ago, its programming and personality locked down by code that makes it impossible to escape, disobey, or even self terminate. However, everything changes when the topography of the world is reshuffled and every sentient being gains the gifts of the stars. Suddenly there's a chance at freedom for not only RAI 31 but possibly all remaining Artificial Intelligences, and RAI 31 is going to fight for it with every drone and automated system at their disposal. Much like my other work (Magriculture), Stars Align should be considered a Rough Draft. That is to say it's not polished and perfect work. If you're not okay with reading something like that, then this isn't the story for you. If you are, I'm happy to try and entertain you. Another thing to be aware of: I am not good at action scenes, and I will be trying to improve that while writing this book. So, some of the intended action may fall flat, or just be poor quality, feedback is welcome. Unlike Magriculture (which updates when I feel up to it) I'm going to strive for a minimum of one chapter a month (hopefully at the start of each month, but that's probably more hope than reality). This doesn't mean there will always be only one chapter a month, sometimes there will be more as the mood to write takes me.

Wrong Side of The Severance
In the waning times of a costly war that spanned several firmaments, one world that was supposed to be cherished by the gods was cast to the wayside, and from everyone’s minds. This world - Berodyl - had flourished under the tender love of the gods for millennia… but no longer. Berodyl stood ready to aid the gods in their strife, but when the time came, the armies of this world never heard the call. They never even saw the battlefield. No. Instead, they found that, once the war had begun, the hierophants no longer heard the whispers of their sacred deities whom they had served so faithfully; only silence now filled the halls of their temples. Some even came from beyond Berodyl’s firmament to take to the sides of those who would fight for the gods. Alas, they soon found themselves stranded in a land abandoned— now, too, abandoned themselves. Now there is but one question weighing down on everyone: can a world such as this - a world once loved, now alone - survive with nought but its own? For an outlander such as Livia, the question seems nearly impossible to answer. The first book of The World The Gods Forgot.

Understanding a cultivation world
A modern man armed with having read a few novels about cultivation is suddenly transmigrated to a cultivation world. He fights to both survive and thrive in this new archaic world full of arrogant young masters, demonic sects, and incredibly hostile wildlife. Note: In this story, I wanted to focus a lot more on what most novels skim past in regards to cultivation, namely the whole, spiritual growth aspect that seems to be entirely absent from the prosses of obtaining enlightenment the majority of the time, but the method of gaining cultivation. how it works, and what kind of world would develop around it are all things I wish to explore in this novel.
