This white monster was about the size of a basketball and was covered in white fluffy fur. It had a pair of large sparkly eyes and and a large mouth. This was essentially it.

Lin Huang naturally recognized this monster. It was a Snowpuff Beast.

Snowpuffs belong to the beast family, and were one of the few monsters who were completely harmless. While they possessed sharp teeth, they were extremely timid, and avoided any creature larger than them. Fighting was the last thing they ever wanted to do.

​

Because of their cute appearance, they were popular among girls. Someone discovered this and started selling Snowpuffs to rich ladies as pets. As time passed, Snowpuffs were treated as house-pets.

They were omnivores and could pretty eat whatever you fed them so they were extremely easy to raise.

However, Snowpuffs were pretty rare as they liked to hide in snowy places. As such they were a highly prized pet. A Snowpuff commanded a market price much higher than a BlueCopper Equipment.

This greedy glutton was probably lured here by the smell of the meat stew.

Despite being caught by Shirou, it didn’t seem to notice its predicament and continued staring at that pot of meat stew, its tongue hanging from its mouth. Definitely a glutton.

Lin Huang was amused by this comical sight and retrieved a piece of meat from his bowl and fed it to the snowpuff.

Its eyes were completely entranced by the meat and were completely locked onto it. Lin Huang teasingly moved the meat left and right multiple times. The Snowpuff’s gaze followed the meat piece, swaying left and right.

However, it soon realized the meat wasn’t going to be fed to it and started struggling to free itself in a bid to grab the meat. Shirou pressed down onto it, locking it in place.

Seeing that its efforts were in vain, it raised its head and stared at Lin Huang, revealing a sad and pitiful face to him, its crocodile tears piling up in the corner of its eyes.

“No wonder girls like Snowpuffs, it even knows to how act pitiful.” Lin Huang eyes widened slightly as he realized this.

He finally fed the Snowpuff the meat. In an instant it swallowed the meat after chewing a couple of times and turned back to Lin Huang, the same pitiful expression on its face.

However, this trick did not work on Lin Huang twice. He went back to eating his meal.

Seeing that Lin Huang ignored it, its tears started rolling down.

“It’s pretty good at acting.” Lin Huang chuckled to himself and continued eating.

Seeing that its crying did not work, it upped the ante and started sobbing. Tears flowed its face as it twitched from time to time. It was truly a pitiful but cute sight.

“This potato is really good at acting…” Lin Huang ignored him and scooped another bowl of stew for himself.

He continued eating as the Snowpuff sobbed.

Finally, Lin Huang set aside the remaining meat in a bowl and placed it on the floor for the snowpuff. He retrieved the snowpuff from Shirou and placed it in front of the bowl.

The snowpuff immediately started eating. Within three to four gulps, the bowl was completely empty.

It licked its lips and started staring a Lin Huang.

“There’s no point staring at me, there’s no more meat.” Lin Huang said so as he spread both his arms out.

The Snowpuff then turned to look at the pot. Finally giving up, Lin Huang poured the remaining stew into the Snowpuff’s bowl. However, this was soon empty once more as the snowpuff drank it in one breath.

It raised its head and stared at Lin Huang once more.

“There’s no more stew left.” As he said this, the picked up the pot and overturned it.

Seeing there was really nothing left, the Snowpuff rubbed against Lin Huang’s leg as if to express its gratitude.

Lin Huang picked the Snowpuff up and gently massaged it, “It has a pretty nice feel, kinda like a plushie but better. Plus it’s nice and warm.”

The Snowpuff closed its eyes in bliss as it enjoyed the massage.

“It really knows how to enjoy itself…” Lin Huang laughed as he said this.

A while later, seeing that it was getting dark, he finally put down the Snowpuff and prepared to sleep. He still had to continue climbing in the day and needed to conserve his energy.

Just as he was about to recall Shirou and summon the security ogre. The Snowpuff hopped over and bit at his pants and tried dragging it in a certain direction.

“Little one, you want me to follow you?” Lin Huang immediately understood its intentions.

The Snowpuff nodded and hopped a few steps in that direction before turning around and looking at Lin Huang. With a wave of his hand, he signaled to Shirou to follow him.

The Snowpuff hopped up a gentle slope, with Lin Huang and Shirou following closely behind.

It finally stopped in front of an icewall and turned to look at the duo. Then it leaped directly into the icewall.

Lin Huang opened his eyes wide in surprise at the Snowpuff’s strange action and was further surprised as he saw the Snowpuff disappear into the icewall.

“An illusion?” Lin Huang took a step forward and pressed his hand against the icewall. After confirming that it wasn’t solid, he stepped into the icewall.

​

The sight that greeted him as he passed through the illusory icewall stunned him.

It was a giant snowy gorge. It seemed like a completely different world from the Goddess Ridge outside.

He recovered from his shock after a short while. Turning around he looked strangely at Shirou, wondering why he didn’t come in.

“There’s no need to wait. Only the humans I approve of can enter. Monsters can’t enter this world.” A deep voice echoed behind him.

“Who’s there?” Lin Huang looked around trying to locate the source of the voice but could only see the Snowpuff.

“It’s me.” The voice echoed once more, this time coming from the Snowpuff.

“You can talk?!” Lin Huang didn’t expect that the Snowpuff was able to talk. On top of that, it sounded like a grown man. A grown macho man.

“That’s right.”

As it said this, its body started expanding, and its limbs started growing longer at a rapid rate.

Within a few seconds, the cute little Snowpuff turned into an unloveable burly giant.

It was a Yeti. It was over a hundred meters tall and its entire body was covered in a thick coat of white fur. Its face closely resembled a human’s and sported a long snowy beard.

This scene overturned his view of the world.

​

Yetis were monsters of the Ice attribute. They were gifted with great strength and were natural born Transcendent monsters. An adult yeti even had a combat strength that surpassed Transcendent creatures. As for what realm that was, Lin Huang had no clue.

The Yeti in front of him was clearly an adult.

“Human teenager, I bear no ill intentions towards you. I’ve brought you here because I have a request to ask of you…”
