In Lin Huang’s Life Wheel, a total of 52 gray sections have been converted into filled white sections.Along with this, he gained 33 ogre fragments. He received a message about forming a complete card at the 30th fragment however chose not to/
Standing outside the ogre village, he looked at the last remaining villager. It was the largest ogre he spotted a while back. The one who had a towering height of 10 metres. Just by looking at his body, one could tell that this ogre’s power was very close to a BlueCopper’s and was clearly the chief of this village. At this moment, he was still sleeping soundly completely unaware of the massacre around him.
Lin Huang retrieved his Gray Eagle 17 and loaded 10 armor piercing bullets and quietly crept up to the ogre.
A desert wind blew past him, bringing with it a sickly stench. The smell came from the surrounding ogre shacks.
These ogre’s had horrifying standards of hygiene!
Lin Huang tiptoed as he got closer and closer to the chief’s hut, being careful not to give up the advantage of stealth.
30 , 20, 10, 5 metres….
All of a sudden, the chief’s nose twitched as if it picked on a certain scent. The chief opened eyes and furiously looked around. Lin Huang had nowhere to hide.
The chief was momentarily stunned as he caught sight of Lin Huang, he thought he was still dreaming. Lin Huang got a terrible fright as well and quickly aimed at the chief as the chief clawed at him.

Shirou to the rescue! Once more. A couple sashes wrapped around the chief’s arms and bound them tightly.
Noticing the ogre’s predicament, Lin Huang decisively stepped forward instead of retreating. He aimed his gun squarely at the ogre’s eyes and with a click, squeezed on the trigger.
*Bang Bang*
Two bright flashes cut through the darkness of night as Lin Huang rapidly squeezed on the trigger once more after his first shot. Their intended targets, the left and right eyes of the ogre.
“RAWWR!” the ogre roared into the night as pain wracked his entire body. He tried to close his eyes as soon as he noticed Lin Huang’s target but the destructive power of the armor piercing bullets were not to be denied as it blew up the ogre’s eyes.
This was a serious injury for the ogre and caused him to enter a mad frenzy as he violently broke free of Shirou’s bindings and started flailing around like a madman.
However, Lin Huang had already retreated to safety with a quick tumble to the left.
His roars travelled far and wide as candidates up to 10 km away heard the frenzied roars from their campfires.
“It’s a ogre’s roar. It seems to have entered a frenzy…”
“The only creatures who dared to attack an ogre village at night are the equally gigantic Saber-toothed Wolves. However, they usually wouldn’t do so unless they were desperately in need of food. It’s bound to be a bloody battle from the sound of that roar.” A bespectacled man explained. Due to the distance from the village, the gunshots travel to this man’s ears, causing this misunderstanding.
Back at the village, the ogre’s frenzy grew as he started flailing both his arms at the surrounding structures, reducing them to rubble.
Shirou had no choice but to enter his battle mode. His eyes grew redder as the pair of blood wings on his back transformed into Blood Blades once more.
He rapidly circled the ogre while chipping away at him with the Blood Blades.

While the ogre’s injuries grew, Shirou had not even been injured once.
In the meantime, Lin Huang who was watching the battle from the sides, replaced his armor piercing bullets with normal bullets, before switching to the gun’s automatic mode. Each bullet was aimed at the weak points of the ogre’s defenses. A vast majority of the times, it was his face. This included his already ears, nose, mouth and even the already decimated eyes. While the accuracy wasn’t high, they clearly had an effect on the ogre as its desperate frenzy grew with each hit.
All the while, Lin Huang was constantly switching positions as he fired so that the ogre could not track his location via the gunshot sounds.
The ogre’s defensive strength was truly a sight to behold. Shirou’s transformed Blood Blades had the ability to effortlessly slice through the bodies of normal ogres. However, he could only inflict a bone-deep cut on this ogre before getting stopped by the bone.
As time ticked by, fatigue was starting to show on both Lin Huang and Shirou. Time was not kind to the ogre either, due to his massive blood loss, the ogre was getting weaker by the second.
By this time, Lin Huang had fired a whopping 100+ bullets at the ogre’s face. While not all of them hit their target, it was still astonishing that the ogre was still alive. The power of a Gray Eagle 17 came very close to a BlackIron Firearms Equipment, akin to a AK47.
Shirou and the ogre continued their dance of death. Fatigue apparent on the former and deathly paleness on the later. Despite Shirou’s furious attacks, the ogre still managed to guard his fatal spots.
Lin Huang had slowed down significantly as well. His running speed plummeted due to the fatigue. However, he kept up his rapid fire.
Finally, after a barrage of blade attacks and bullets, the ogre collapsed onto the ground, completely spent. Spent but not dead. However Lin Huang knew the ogre was at Death’s door.
He boldly approached the ogre in order to raise his accuracy. However just as he fired a few shots, the ogre sprang to his feet and with a thunderous roar made his last-ditch attempt at Lin Huang’s life.
Lin Huang stood his ground and with a quick motion reloaded his armor piercing bullets into the Gray Eagle 17. Time slowed down as Lin Huang took aim at the charging ogre’s gaping mouth. “It’s high noon.”
*Bang!*
*Bang!*
*Bang!*
Three bullets shot down into the emptiness of the ogre’s mouth, exploding and finally killing the ogre. The corpse collapsed with a thud. A cloud of sand rose into the air, displaced by the massive corpse. Blood flowed from each of the ogre’s orifices.
[Congratulations Master, you have attained —- Sand Ogre Monster Card x1!]
[Master has successfully killed a monster above his combat rank. Reward: Advancement Card x1!]
“Like shooting fish in a barrel!” Lin Huang proudly proclaimed as he blew on the pistol’s muzzle before stowing it in his imaginary holster.

The author didn’t actually type “It’s high noon” or “Like shooting fish in a barrel” in chinese .
The author typed 小樣,還跟小爺來這出,早就等著你了 which very roughly translates to “small fry you dare to confront young master (referring to himself) , I’ve been waiting for you”.
However, that sounds kinda silly to translate and to be honest, it’s just a random catchphrase and not some pop culture reference according to what I searched anyway. So I just decided to use a more catchy/popular phrase which conveyed the intended arrogance and showboating.
Thightanic has been removed by the way.

I was inspired to create this story after reading the Scale Dungeon, by TheSilverGunner, here on RRL. It is a good story, despite having only a few chapter out at the time of writing this.
