Keep up the good work, you’ve dealt with more than your fair share

For a tank, you sure to move around without a care

Would you like a class change from Tank to Bull or something?

It’s a laugh the way you charge at almost everything

Boulder roared as he tore through monster after monster

Looking only for the best, the bigger the better

“Crystal, can you believe all these things are really here?!

Normally we only get monsters like this once a year!”

~ Name: Unnamed ~

Title: Portal Monster

These brutal monsters are built to withstand heavy attacks

Their horns are as sturdy as the armour on their backs

Named for all the bloodstains their horns pick up through the years

Many are so tough that they can live a thousand years

The massive monster charged at Boulder who was charging back

But when its horn met Boulder’s chest, it was the horn to crack

He didn’t let the beast rebound though, what he did instead

Was reach out with his burly arms and grab it by its head

He spun around and the Blood Rhino lifted off the ground

And then he tossed it at a tree with a terrible sound

He wiped his hands smiled at Crystal who was by his side

But as usual, she didn’t look too satisfied

“I wish you wouldn’t run off on your own like that, you know

The last time you got lost in the woods wasn’t long ago”

She sighed as she used her mana to summon several stones

And flung them at Woodland Orc, smashing most of its bones

An orc that seems to have evolved in a magical place

It’s wise in the ways of old magic, despite its daft face

Beware the spells it casts to bend the forest to its will

Not unlike a druid, it can use plant life to kill

The Woodland Orc fell to its knees but in desperation

It flung several large thorny vines in Crystal’s direction

It was disappointed though as every vine it threw

Did less damage to its target than the wind that blew

~ Name: Crystal ~

It’s been a long time since this tank avoided an attack

Most attacks bounce of her like water off a duck’s back

If she put more effort into being heroic

She’d have reached her current status levels twice as quick

They, along with several friends, defended their small town

Putting any portal monster to approach it down

Farther out, Delilah’s battle cries were echoing

After every shout, a monster’s roar soon following

~ Name: Delilah ~

Title: Sword Master

You’re doing well, but don’t be reckless, you have much to do

More than enough monsters are now being drawn to you

Swing your sword with care or it will dull or maybe crack

Put more faith in all the many allies at your back

Delilah’s deity demanded in futility

To make sure that she fight a little less dangerously

But she was undistracted by that status screen of hers

But she had little time to dwell on advice or dangers

She swung a sword clad in the mana dripping with her rage

Tearing through whatever foolish monsters dared engage

Log chased after her as she went looking for a fight

More like a Berserker than a former royal knight

But he was unconcerned by his wife’s current state of mind

In fact, his face showed no concerns of any shape of kind

He smiled while intersecting half the monsters that attacked

Defending his wife while fearsome Rogue Knight slashed and hacked

~ Name: Log ~

It’s nice to see you doing what your Tank lets you do best

Some other gods’ mortals have put their patience to the test

Keep up the good work, this sure does bring back memories

I hope this battle brings you a few worth enemies

“You know, I’ve always wondered why that one stat is so low

You’re generous with others, but that one goes up so slow”

Log punched a hole through a Horn Bear while he thought aloud

Happy to see that the Bear was just one of a crowd

Achievement: Thinking

I’m surprised you asked that, it’s my way of helping you

As you know, stats only bolster things that you can do

Even if I raised your Intelligence stat today

Your base intelligence level’s too low anyway

“Hey, Delilah, my guardian just said I’m not smart!

Can you believe I have a god with such a cold heart?!”

He shouted over all the noise of monsters he had crushed

But when he heard his wife’s reply he fell quiet and blushed

“Your god is being gentle, you’re an idiot, it’s true

But your thick head is one of the things I love about you!”

She smiled at Log over her shoulder while she wiped her blade

She hadn’t expected the mess that the Cursed Slime had made

“Well, just let me know if you need a rest soon, okay?

We can tag out with the reserve tanks for half a day”

Log approached his wife, killing a Gremlin as he went

And they found themselves relaxing for such a moment

“Every monster that we kill is one less he might meet

There’s not a single monster here that little Twig could beat

We fight until these woods are free of every single threat

Neither of pair of us has gotten started yes”

And so Delilah and her husband continued to fight

Along with the who village well into that first night

Their daughters all assisted searching out weaker foes

And everyone who fought was glad their levels quickly rose

Never had the gods been half as generous as then

Every time they leveled up, the leveled up again

Although the gods seemed unaware of what was going on

They were anxious there might never come another dawn
