《Tales of Demons and Dragons - An Original Xianxia GameLit》Chapter 131 - This Great Kevin

“What kind of knowledge do you have?” Jacob was finally approaching his destination. Soon, he would jump out of the car and start running toward the Alchemical Garden. But, in the meantime, if the stupid sword had something good to share, he would listen.
THIS GREAT KEVIN CAN PROVIDE KNOWLEDGE ABOUT MARTIAL STYLES!
“I already have the strongest Martial Styles in existence,” Jacob yawned.
I HAVE SOME VERY POWERFUL MARTIAL TECHNIQUES!
“Already have those too.”
WELL, I HAVE CULTIVATION TECH—
“Nope.”
UHM.
Kevin seemed uncertain now.
THIS GREAT ONE CAN PROVIDE TEACHINGS?
“Already got that covered.”
THIS ONE CAN RECOUNT HISTORY AND STORIES FROM FORGOTTEN TIMES, PROVIDING ADVICE AND A PATH TO BECOME A WISE WARRIOR!
“I doubt anyone knows more than me about dimensional history, Kevin. I’ve spent most of my past life closed off in a time-blocked space studying from a never-ending magical library and practicing things.”
AH, THIS GREAT KEVIN NEEDS TIME TO THINK, THEN. HE HAS A SIMILAR SPACE WHERE TO PRACTICE WEAPONS AND FIGHTING, BUT YOU LOWLY HUMAN CLEARLY DON’T NEED ONE. MMMM
While the sword hummed, Jacob almost crashed the car. But, unfortunately, he processed the words a few seconds late.
“You can generate an illusionary space to practice fighting? Can you do that for multiple people?”
Kevin seemed to think for a bit before answering with his old smugness.
AH! THIS GREAT KEVIN CAN DO THAT FOR THOUSANDS! IT’S ONE OF THE MOST POWERFUL ABILITIES THIS GREAT KEVIN HAS. YES, YES. ONE OF THE GREATEST! THOUSANDS CAN ALLOW THIS GREAT KEVIN TO PROJECT THEIR MINDS INTO HIS GREAT SOUL, AND THEY CAN PRACTICE WHATEVER THEY CAN USE IN THE REAL SPACE THERE WITHOUT HURTING ANYONE!
Jacob was speechless. Such an ability would have been useful for him, too, since he had tried so hard to fine-tune Aura Synchronization. But maybe it wouldn’t work with Martial Techniques like his?

AH! PUNY HUMAN, THIS GREAT KEVIN CAN ALLOW YOU TO PRACTICE ANY TECHNIQUE YOU HAVE! IT DOESN’T MATTER WHAT, YOU CAN PRACTICE IT WITHOUT ANY BACKLASH! THIS GREAT KEVIN WAS FORGED TO IMPROVE HARMFUL TECHNIQUES TO RAISE THEIR OWN POWER AND—
This time, Jacob braked so hard he almost catapulted himself out of the car.
“What the f*ck?! You are the Relic people in my life used to develop Forbidden Techniques?!”
The concept of Forbidden Techniques was to simply use Martial Techniques so powerful that they would damage your own body, but at the same time temporarily raise your fighting power enormously.
OH, THIS GREAT KEVIN NEVER HEARD OF ‘FORBIDDEN TECHNIQUES’, BUT THIS GREAT KEVIN COULD INDEED BE USED FOR SUCH PUNY TECHNIQUES
“What the f*ck?! It can’t be!”
Jacob had come in contact with the creators of the most powerful Forbidden Techniques, and he knew that they all shared a secret, an insanely powerful relic that had been used to develop such crazy techniques.
“Kevin, can I use a Technique that would potentially destroy my own soul inside your virtual soul space?”
STUPID HUMAN, YOU CAN TRY WHATEVER! THIS GREAT KEVIN WAS FORGED BY THE GREATEST MASTERS EVER TO LIVE! HE WAS CONFINED IN AN ORNAMENTAL FORM, BUT THAT DOESN’T MEAN ANYTHING! JUST BECAUSE THIS GREAT KEVIN IS SO BEAUTIFUL, IT DOESN’T MEAN HE ISN’T ALSO VERY PROFICIENT AT HIS ACTUAL JOB.
“Kevin,” Jacob trembled so hard he almost bent the steering wheel. “You are an ornamental sword? So you are not an actual weapon?”
If Kevin were an ornamental sword, it would mean that Jacob had been using the equivalent of a glorified house decoration to kill people.
It couldn’t be!
Jacob knew he would never be able to bring Kevin to fight the stronger monsters of this world, but that Kevin was also strong enough to last at least until the 6th or 7th realm. And if he was indeed an ornamental weapon, his durability was only an accessory to his main function. Artifacts capable of generating virtual spaces and whatnot were usually much more fragile and delicate.

He knew Sect Heads who had killed themselves after accidentally destroying a delicate relic.
Could it be that in his past life, Frederick hadn’t known about Kevin's main use? Well, it made sense since the goddamn sword had just told him almost by mistake.
That meant that the cultivators who had invented the Forbidden Techniques had actually used fu**ing Kevin.
Jacob didn’t know what was worst between discovering a potential brewing horde of Demonic Beast or that Kevin, the super obnoxious sword, was actually useful and that from now on, he would have to deal with him somehow if he wanted to use it.
AH! THIS GREAT ONE IS PLEASED BY YOUR SPEECHLESSNESS! THIS GREAT KEVIN, IN FACT, CAUSED MANY WARS BECAUSE COUNTLESS PEOPLE WERE AFTER HIS INCREDIBLE CAPABILITIES! THIS GREAT KEVIN IS THE GREATEST RELIC EVER TO EXIST!
The most annoying thing was that now Jacob was agreeing with the goddamned sword. If he could really simulate what was described as an ‘Invulnerable Space’, its value was beyond what humans could understand.
Jacob would have to investigate the actual limits to, in order, stop part of the bragging that was already starting and understand what he could do with the sword ability.
Now that he knew about Kevin’s abilities, he almost felt guilty for having used it as an actual weapon.
“Kevin, if you are not a real weapon, why didn’t you say so?”
THIS GREAT KEVIN WANTED TO TRY SOMETHING NEW! THIS GREAT KEVIN IS EXTREMELY BORED WITH RESEARCHERS AND STUPID PATRIARCHS WHO JUST PLAY AROUND IN THE VIRTUAL SPACE WITHOUT GOING OUT AND SHOWING THEIR MIGHT TO THE WORLD! AND WHEN THEY DO, THEY NEVER BRING KEVIN AROUND BECAUSE THEY FEAR THAT SOMEONE WOULD EITHER STEAL OR DESTROY THIS GREAT KEVIN!
“Kevin, you are telling me that you just mentioned in passing your main ability in a casual conversation and that I discovered by chance that I’m using one of the greatest Relics ever created as a sword because you were bored?”
THE ENTERTAINMENT OF THIS GREAT KEVIN IS OF PARAMOUNT IMPORTANCE!
“Man, I’m ditching swords,” Jacob swore.

MC is strong from the word go and he has a specific goal. He's also learned many skills before the beginning of the novel, so don't expect a murderhobo for levels. That being said, the mc will grow stronger and will have become so strong (not overpowered) by the end of the first book. There are many races besides humans but they are not the main focus of the story, so they will only appear when the plot involves them. This novel is dedicated to the late William Wilberforce. *** I made the cover picture from picart. Original images don't belong to me. If you are the owner and you want it removed just pm me.
