I Did Many Dangerous Things After Knowing When I Would Die Chapter 30

'The soul suppression box has been opened... Black gas is pouring out... The tomb has collapsed... That evil being has emerged!
'It has broken the foundation of the tomb and destroyed the entire place completely. He has broken the seal!
The female spirit in red looked at the huge, collapsed underground tomb that had just been revealed to the world. Her eyes were wide open in horror.
'This can't be happening… The chosen one to subdue this entity hasn't even appeared! Why did this have to happen now? It's all my fault for being careless. It's all my fault!'
She thought as she trembled. She had been away from the ring for too long and she had also used up too much of her soul's power; she was extremely frail, and had to return to the tomb as soon as possible to restore herself into the ring.
However, she realized that there was something odd.
'That kid hasn't come out yet and his aura is very weak.
'His fate also shows that he doesn't seem to have much time left. He will die very soon.
'Oh my god, is this the current host of my soul ring? His fate seems so rough. How will he be able to fight against evil with me?'
She had the ability to calculate a person's life span by examining their fate. The longer one's fate, the longer their life span would be.
The spirit residing in Jack London's body counted Blake's remaining years of life and was immediately met with disappointment. His fate was frighteningly short; it seemed that he only had less than a day left in his life.
This meant that he was in grave danger.
'Could it be that this has already been destined to happen? Had it already been decided long ago that this evil existence would ravage and bring calamity to this world?
"I've been given such a weak host, there's definitely no way we can take on this dangerous being…'

The red-clothed female ghost thought dejectedly.
It was obvious that she was very dissatisfied with Blake, but she could not change anything now that he had bound himself to her soul ring.
She had no choice; the magical item had chosen this man and she couldn't go against its decision, she was merely just a soul depending on the ring.
She sighed, giving up on fighting against what had already been determined. Detaching herself from Jack London's physical figure, she glided down into the tomb.
The Rakshasa was awaking from its slumber, and the corpse insects once again scrambled around in big groups.
The situation was in imminent danger. She had to fuse with the ring as soon as possible to prevent this disaster from blowing up even further.
She willed her body to rush quickly toward the tomb!
As she left Jack London's body, it fell over. A team member of the Criminal Investigation Division hurriedly reached out to grab Jack as he shouted for the captain.
"Captain! Mr. Jack fainted when he saw the flood of insects!"
"What?"
The captain, who was in a terrible state, turned his head and saw Jack London, who had fainted. He rubbed his forehead in exasperation.
'Trash! How could you faint from this and call yourself an explorer?'
The captain shook his head disapprovingly and ordered his men to quickly bring Jack London out of the scene.
However, what he did not notice was that when Jack London fell, the old village chief at the side seemed to have caught sight of something, and had been so shocked that his mouth now hung wide open.
There was clearly nothing in the sky, but he seemed to have seen something as he muttered excitedly, "She appeared! It's her! She's here again! I knew it, she'll be here... She'll definitely be here!"
The old village chief moved excitedly, staring at the sky with a red figure reflected in his pupils.

Boom!
Bang!
Dong!
A loud noise resonated from the collapsed tomb.
Dust settled all over the ground in the pitch-black underground chamber, but this did not faze the female spirit who had already been able to spot the unconscious Blake even through the walls of the tomb.
In her eyes, the dark green ring called out to her like a sonar, and she accelerated into the ring.
Not long after, she finally entered the ring, and her weak soul was nourished again.
"Hu --"
She let out a comfortable moan as she felt her weak soul being nourished by the magical device.
After regaining her strength in the soul ring, her eyes fluttered open and she stared at Blake, the chosen one.
'He's actually a high school student?
'Isn't his life span a little too tragic? He's just a high school student…'
She shook her head and lamented for Blake.
'He only has one day left to live. Looks like he'll either die tonight or the night after.
'Sigh, you're only going to be working together for one day. It's not good to be attached…'
She thought to herself as she adjusted her state of mind.
'When the time comes, I must find a muscular man with ample Yang energy for my soul ring. This skinny and frail high school student is not my type at all!'
The spirit couldn't help but laugh as she fantasized.
The seal on the tomb had been broken and the Rakshasa's evil Qi had been released. This was not a good thing, but there was a bright side to it. This would relieve her of her duty of guarding this tomb, and she could finally go on a journey to see the world.
This was something that she had been looking forward to for a long time, but this had been her sole responsibility for many years, and she couldn't simply ditch it.
Right now, however, the most important thing was to control Rakshasa's corrupted Qi.
'I wonder if this boy knows of any spiritual sealing techniques. Will he even be willing to cooperate with me to suppress the Rakshasa?
'Otherwise, I can only watch this fellow die from the ghostly Qi and then search for another person to be my master.'
As the female ghost thought of this, she couldn't help but feel a little excited at the idea of switching hosts.
Then, she stretched out her hand and released a light green tinted stream of air into Blake's nose, mouth, and stomach.
From this healing, the unconscious Blake's eyes quickly shot open. However, he could not see anything. The world was pitch black in his view. He activated his Yin-Yang Eye, and everything turned into black and white.
A woman in red drifted toward the center of his gray world. She was stunning; with skin as white as snow and bright eyes. No one would have disagreed that she was extremely charming.
Black looked at her, and his eyes were mesmerized. Then, he remembered the record in the diary he had found.
"A red-clothed female ghost?
"This is the phantom mentioned in the diary?"
He couldn't help but exclaim out loud.
Upon hearing what he had just labelled her, she frowned and retorted fiercely, "What red-clothed female ghost? That's awful!
"My name is Monroe, Natasha Monroe!
"Remember it well! Don't call me anything else in the future!"
Natasha Monroe waved her small fists in irritation.
Meanwhile, Blake slowly tried to piece together the situation. He sat up and observed his disastrous surroundings.
"The black mist and corpse insects disappeared?
"What happened?
"Miss Monroe, who are you?
"Why are you here?"

Divine Creatures
Kestra, a [Combat Alchemist] and [Woods Wraith Hunter], is excited to finally receive her third class. But when she attempts to do so, she instead receives a tribulation from the God of Trials, loses her classes, and is informed by the voice of the world that she's been selected to transmigrate with only three days to go. She tries her damnedest to prepare, but even the Elements are different in this new realm. A relatively staid adjustment period is completely abandoned though as she finds that, most distressingly, hundreds of transmigrators have appeared recently with dozens enslaved by the local city lord. Fine! She may have lost her classes and the magic is funky, but she'll be damned if she doesn't have a few true-blue skills up her sleeves. [synopsis re-write by luda305] A light hearted romp where the protag transmigrator *isn't* from Earth. The main story takes place on more of a western xianxia world. Note: profanity tag is because of side characters, and sexual context tag is for some risqué elements before fade-to-black scene. Book 1 is written and scheduled for release a chapter a day till 9/26 (24 chapters total) Book 2 will be added after it is all written. Updated to add fanfic tag because when I picked up the latest Ten Realms I realized that series has had a lot more influence on the setting than I consciously realized. Don't expect military or industrial revolution in xianxia, though.
