I Did Many Dangerous Things After Knowing When I Would Die Chapter 21

John hugged the goods tightly. He shot a fierce gaze at the members, like a wild animal unwilling to share its prey.
However, the other members of the expedition team's desperation overpowered his fury!
In the face of John's headstrong resistance, the members of the expedition team did not show any mercy. They promptly brandished their shovels that hung at their waists and struck John!
At this moment, there were no cameras and the livestream had already been canceled. It was as if everyone had torn off their disguises and revealed their true nature!
Men have to grab opportunities for themselves, or else who will?
Everyone wore a wide, selfish grin and swung their shovels down deliriously, coming down on John's body repetitively.
Although he was paralyzed by the ghostly qi and had lost his sense of pain, John was still a mortal.
Under the fierce barrage of attacks, his arm broke from the impact and both arms protecting the treasures dropped weakly.
Bang!
A member landed a forceful kick on John and he was rolled onto his side, helpless.
The gold, silver, and jewelry in his arms were scattered all over the ground.
"Hahaha! Mine! These are all mine!"
The member of the expedition team screamed excitedly as he bent down and gathered the pile of riches into his arms.
As he did so, the corpse worms that were concealed in the valuables swarmed into his facial orifices and abdomen.
However, the other members of the expedition team acted as if they overlooked these terrifying corpse insects. They fought each other wildly, their hands thrown at each other ceaselessly.
They were entangled with each other, feuding with each other just like that.
Blake stared at the atmosphere of the tomb. With the power of his Yin-Yang Eyes, he could see the ghostly qi spreading through his teammates' bodies uncontrollably.
Their pupils dilated at that moment, black fog seemingly swirling within them.
"These guys have been corrupted by the ghostly qi. Their minds are no longer clear..."
Blake's brows were tightly knitted together.
He did not have much time. He had to open the coffin as soon as possible and find a way to restrain the ghostly Qi.

Focusing on this goal, Blake held the Obsidian Carving Knife horizontally in his hand. He pressed the tip of the knife against the seal of the coffin, which produced a sizzling sound.
The Obsidian Carving Knife flashed up in flames, but the seal was not broken.
Blake frowned.
'This shouldn't be happening...
'Wasn't this Obsidian Carving Knife supposed to be able to break any seal?
'How could it not even break open this ordinary coffin?
'Did someone cast a secret spell on this coffin?'
Blake thought suspiciously.
Immediately, he realized the reason why the group of grave robbers hadn't opened the coffin.
It was because of this seal!
This seal was exceptionally powerful, to the point that not even the Obsidian Carving Knife was any match for it. There was no wonder why the group of grave robbers couldn't open it at all...
Crack, crack, crack...
The compass that had been quiet all this time suddenly started to form cracks.
Not good!
The ghostly qi had intensified, and the compass couldn't hold on any longer!
Blake grimaced and tightened his grip on the Obsidian Carving Knife.
There wasn't much time left for him.
He had to open the coffin as soon as possible!
Sizzle!
Sizzle!
He slashed the Obsidian Carving Knife across the coffin, radiating streaks of fiery light.
In Blake's Yin-Yang Eyes, the seal placed on the coffin was like a hemp rope, its threads slowly snapping.
This meant that the Obsidian Carving Knife was indeed weakening the seal.
As long as Blake was given enough time, he would definitely be able to break through!
Realizing that he had a chance, Blake's entire body was suddenly filled with power, and the strength of the carving knife in his hand gradually increased!
'Soon...
'Soon!
'It will be broken soon!'
Blake swung his Obsidian Carving Knife into the air and yelled with all his might.
In the distance, the ghostly qi circulating in the bodies of the members of the exploration team became stronger and stronger, and their brawl against each other became more and more barbaric.

Their clothes had been tattered, revealing many scratches and injuries inflicted onto their bodies by one another.
There was even a trace of blood at the corner of the mouth of one of the teammates.
The few of them pushed and stumbled over the corpses of the tomb robbers, crushing and shattering the bones.
The brutal behavior caused many more of the flasks that the corpses were hugging to be broken. Their contents were exposed, revealing even more gold, silver, and jewelry!
In an instant, the crazed expedition members became even more hysterical!
They lunged toward the funerary objects and tried to snatch as many as they could for themselves.
They stuffed them into their underwear, pockets, bags, and anywhere else they could think of.
As they were frantically shoving the treasures, they failed to notice that more corpse worms were crawling into their clothes and gnawing on their skin. "Ah!"
Many of them screamed in pain.
However, that didn't stop them from what they were doing.
At this moment, this group of people had completely been taken over by the ghostly qi and dominated by their own greed!
...
Crack!
On the other side, the seal could be heard breaking as fissures crawled all over it.
The seal on the coffin was finally broken!
Blake put away the Obsidian Carving Knife in his hand as he looked at the loose coffin cover and heaved a long sigh of relief.
The coffin had finally been opened!
However, he did not stop there. He placed his hands on the coffin cover before pushing it forward with all his might.
Creak... Creak!
The coffin lid ground against its wooden body and revealed an opening.
A pure black mist then diffused out from the coffin into the air!
Blake watched as black mist rushed out from the coffin.
His compass needle was flailing about indicating danger.
This black mist was deadly!
This ghostly qi was more threatening than any other that had spread out before!
Blake hurriedly withdrew from the coffin, without enough time to push open the remaining half of the lid.
However, he suddenly saw that the lid was moving on its own!
It was as if there was an invisible hand inside the coffin that had reached out and gently pushed it aside.
Not long after, the lid slid down from the coffin and landed on the ground with a thud.
A large mass of abnormally dense ghostly qi surged out from the new opening, and Blake could feel that these were completely different from before.
He could only see this thick ghostly qi when he opened his Yin-Yang Eye.
It intertwined to form a small whirlwind of ghostly qi.
Blake could clearly feel that as the black cyclone emerged from the coffin, the temperature in the entire tomb had dropped even more!
The temperature had already been low, but after the further drop in temperature, it was instantly on par with the South Pole.
'The method to stop the ghostly qi is really in this coffin?'
Blake looked at the spiraling black mist, and his heart was filled with skepticism.
His instincts told him that he had freed an extremely ghastly existence.
'Could it be that the system lied to me?
'No.
'It can't be.'
Blake thought firmly in his heart.
On the other side, the exploration team had also grown aware of this unnatural situation. However, their reactions were different from Blake's.
As these guys laid their eyes on the opened coffin, their eyes widened as if they had seen an extremely rare treasure, and they immediately started howling uncontrollably.
"Treasures! So many treasures!"
"We're rich! We're rich!"
The members of the expedition team shouted excitedly as they charged toward the coffin!
When Blake saw this, he was completely stumped.
With the vision of his Yin-Yang Eyes, he could clearly see that there was nothing inside the coffin!
There was no treasure at all!
"Could it be... another illusion yet again?"
