"Aren't you leaving yet?"
Solomon turned around and said to Mingyue.
"I haven't seen the flower yet."
Mingyue was still thinking about that flower. How could she let Solomon leave so easily? Moreover, that flower with wings was really important to her.
Solomon nodded and did not say anything. After all, he had just promised the other party.
The two of them and the snake left the gap just like that. They slipped out right under the noses of the bandits.
The bandits were still foolishly smashing the door. They had no idea that the people and things inside had long disappeared.
The two of them used the night to hide behind the mountain rocks. They avoided the sight of the patrolling bandits. Just like that, they left the interior of the Jack bandits.
Hiss! Hiss! Hiss!
The Rainbow Snake suddenly cried out twice.
Solomon nodded at the Rainbow Snake. He and the Rainbow Snake could use their minds to communicate, so he could understand what the Rainbow Snake said.
What Rainbow Snake probably said was that it hid the items in one place and did not bring them back immediately. Now, it brought Solomon to get the items.
Solomon was also amazed just now. When did the Rainbow Snake become so fast? It turned out that it did not bring the items back but hid them nearby.
It had to be said that the Rainbow Snake was much braver than Solomon.
Soon, the group arrived at a hill that was similar to a canyon.
"You guys went to Jack's bandit gang to rob these?"
Mingyue said in surprise. More than ten sacks were half the height of a person, and they were all full.
Solomon nodded when he heard Mingyue's words. He did not say much. He had prepared too few sacks, or else he could have taken more things.

If Mingyue knew what Solomon was thinking, she would definitely roll her eyes at him. He had already taken so much, yet he still felt that it was not enough.
Mingyue looked at the small bag of smoked jerky in her hand and then looked at the gunny sacks on the hill. Suddenly, she felt that they did not smell good anymore.
"Why don't you come over and help me carry some things?"
Solomon said to Mingyue.
It was not that he and the Rainbow Snake could not do it. All these things could be tied to the snake's body, but Solomon did not want to be so ostentatious. If someone noticed it, it would definitely be a troublesome matter.
So Solomon prepared to divide these things up. At the very least, he did not want them to be tied to the same target. This would be much safer.
"Sure, but you have to give me the plant with wings."
Mingyue had never forgotten her goal of coming here. Her goal was also straightforward. It was the plant with wings.
Hearing this, Solomon nodded. It was useless even if he wanted the plant. He did not even know what he was going to use it for.
It was not bad to exchange the plant for a temporary laborer. It saved him a trip.
"Mingyue, take this."
Solomon brought over a large sack and placed it in front of Mingyue.
Then, he held two large sacks under his arm.
As for the rest of the things, of course, the Rainbow Snake would bear all of them.
Mingyue did not waste any time and directly lifted the large sack. This scene surprised Solomon. A girl's strength could actually be so great. It seemed that she was not an ordinary girl.

"Solomon, give me another sack. I can carry another sack."
Mingyue spoke to Solomon. The smoked jerky itself was not heavy. In addition, Mingyue herself had practiced before. Lifting a hundred to two hundred kg of things would not take much effort. She could even carry another sack.
"No need. The things have been distributed. So let's leave it at that."
After saying that, Solomon tied the rest of the things to the Rainbow Snake's body. Then, he carried two bags, and there was nothing left.
Fifteen minutes passed.
"Solomon, why aren't we there yet?"
Mingyue was a little regretful for agreeing to Solomon's request. She originally thought it would only take a few minutes, but she did not expect it to be so far.
Although she was indeed very strong, she could not endure the distance.
Solomon did not speak because he had already sensed the Little Fire Dragon's current position. It was not far ahead, and because there was a hill blocking it, Mingyue could not see the Little Fire Dragon's enormous body.
He did not answer Mingyue's question and continued to walk ahead.
Mingyue originally did not want to follow him, but she picked up the sack and followed behind Solomon with the roars of ferocious beasts. After all, Solomon also had a ferocious beast following him, so he felt a little safe.
"We're home."
After a while, Solomon stopped walking.
Hmm?
Mingyue heard Solomon's words and looked around. Where was home?
Solomon was using his mind to communicate with the Little Fire Dragon.
Before long, rows of neat stairs appeared in front of Solomon.
Solomon climbed up the stairs. Unfortunately, he only realized that something was missing after walking halfway.
"Why didn't you come up? My home is just up there."
Mingyue was completely stunned. The stairs had suddenly appeared here. Just what kind of person was Solomon.
"Oh, I'm coming, I'm coming."
Mingyue reacted and quickly followed Solomon's footsteps.
After walking 999 steps, the two of them finally arrived at flat ground.
"That's my home."
Solomon pointed at the villa. At this moment, the villa was still brightly lit. Solomon knew that Nicole was definitely waiting for him to come back for dinner.
This made Solomon a little touched.
Mingyue was just about to speak when Solomon interrupted her.
Solomon first whistled. This was the secret signal that he and Nicole had agreed on.
Then, Solomon shouted again, "Nicole, I'm back."
As soon as he finished speaking, a girl ran out of the house. She had a pair of rabbit ears on her head.
"Solomon, you're not injured, right?"
Nicole circled Solomon and asked worriedly.
Solomon touched Nicole's head. "I'm fine. What could have happened?"
He was indeed not injured, and this operation could be said to have gone very smoothly.
Nicole was like a chatterbox, chattering non-stop. To cut it short, the Rainbow Snake had delivered a portion of the items back. He did not expect the Rainbow Snake to actually whistle.
After listening to Nicole's words, Solomon looked at the Rainbow Snake behind him in surprise. This snake was about to become a spirit.
"Ahem."
Mingyue coughed awkwardly twice. She did not know why she was here.
Standing here was like air. She did not seem to exist.
"Oh, Nicole, this is the person I met on the road just now. We can be considered friends. His name is Mingyue."
Solomon said to Nicole.

A Fate Shaped by Magick
This fiction was (and is) published on fanfiction dot net under the same title; though as I slowly transfer it to here, I am editing and smoothing it. This story takes place in the Elder Scrolls (TES) Universe mostly ending up in Morrowind. This is a slice of life meant to answer the questions of how (in the TES universe) do mages study and learn, and exploring some of the in-game differences between TES 2 and 3. This book has minimal spoilers for the Morrowind main quest and does not fully explore it. If you think that giant insects would make cool pets - if you like the idea of exploring magic NOT intended simply as killing something better, faster or more gore-ridden, then come on in and enjoy.
