The Greatest Beast Trainer: Building A Nation On The Back Of A Dragon Chapter 14

"What are you doing?"
Solomon placed the three buckets on the ground and saw that Nicole was fiddling with something.
"Ah!"
Nicole was shocked by the sudden sound. Before she could react, she subconsciously crawled under the bed and hid in the corner.
"It's me."
Hearing this, Nicole crawled out from under the bed. She realized that it was Solomon's voice.
The corner of Nicole's mouth was stained with some dried meat.
"Why did you come back so late?"
Nicole asked Solomon.
It was indeed quite late now. However, if Solomon did not come back soon, Nicole would probably go to the camp to look for him.
"I went to get some things."
Solomon said lightly.
He pointed at the three big buckets and the sacks scattered on the ground as he spoke.
Hearing Solomon's words, Nicole's face was full of shock.
This was called a little bit?
"What is this?"
Nicole looked at the three big buckets and walked up directly, opening the lid of the buckets.
What greeted her eyes was a complete water source.
"So much water!"
"Are you going to rob the entire tribe of water?"
Nicole was frightened this time. The three buckets, which were half the height of a person, were all filled with water.
If she used it sparingly, she could use it for a long time.
Nicole had never seen so much water in her life. In the past, most of the water she drank was unfiltered water, which meant that it was not pure.
The bucket was filled with the underground water from the camp. Therefore, it could be said to be very pure.
She now seriously suspected that Solomon must have looted the entire camp.
"No, the things I took belonged to the camp leader and those hunting squad leaders."
Solomon said faintly.

"Oh right, I have something to tell you. You should be mentally prepared."
After a pause, Solomon continued, "I originally planned to tell the camp leader that the Jack bandits were going to attack the camp."
"In the past, I heard the conversation between the camp leader and the people. The camp leader and the Jack bandits came to some agreement.
"To put it simply, it was to use the lives of the entire camp's residents in exchange for joining the Jack bandits."
Hearing Solomon's words, Nicole was stunned for a while before she reacted.
"Scum, to think that we trusted him so much. How could he do such a thing!?"
"Solomon, where is he now? I want to find him!"
Nicole said fiercely.
If Solomon had not said that, she would still be in the dark.
"I've already killed him."
Solomon said lightly.
"Oh... ah? You killed the leader of the camp?"
Nicole said incredulously, her voice rising by a few degrees.
She immediately reacted and quickly covered her mouth.
"Mm, if such a scum dies, so be it. If he doesn't die, the entire camp will be killed."
When Solomon came out, he saw the people in the camp coming one after another into the storage room.
The young man was a little smart and understood Solomon's words.
"The people in the camp will move out tomorrow."
Solomon said to Nicole.
"Then let's leave together tomorrow."
Nicole looked at Solomon with anticipation.
She initially treated this place as half her home. She did not expect such a scumbag leader to appear. The last bit of attachment in her heart disappeared.
"No, we have to stay here for another two days."
Solomon directly denied it.
If he had not heard the leader's words, he might have left just like that.

Now that he knew that the Jack bandits would attack the entire camp, how could Solomon quickly leave this place?
At this moment, a bold idea appeared in his mind.
"Solomon, if we don't leave tomorrow, the Jack bandits might attack us at any time. When that time comes, we really will not be able to escape!"
Nicole saw Solomon's captivating smile and instantly panicked.
"Solomon, you don't intend to..."
Before Nicole could finish, Solomon continued, "That's right. I want to wait for the Jack bandits' spies to come!"
"Then I want to steal their home!"
Nicole was instantly shocked by Solomon's bold decision.
If someone else had said such words before her, Nicole would not hesitate to call that person a fool.
But it was Solomon who spoke.
Nicole hesitated.
"Do you know how many people the Jack bandits have?"
"A total of 600 people!"
"Just the two of us against 600 people, they can drown us with a mouthful of saliva, and you still plan to steal their home?"
Nicole seriously suspected Solomon had a fever, so she quickly tiptoed and placed her hand on Solomon's forehead.
"Eh, I don't have a fever either."
Nicole touched her own and then felt Solomon's. The temperature was about the same.
"Alright, I'm not joking with you. What I said is true."
"From the moment I heard what the leader of the camp said, I changed my previous plan."
"I killed the spy of the Jack bandits. Tomorrow, I will send a new spy over because they don't understand the situation here. To be more serious, the Jack bandits still don't trust the leader of the camp."
"As long as we mislead them a little, the spy will go back and tell Jack. When that time comes, Jack will be furious and will gather all the bandit gang members over. When that time comes, it will be a good time for us to steal!"
Solomon said briefly. The specific plan still needed to be adapted according to the situation at that time.
"Are you confident?"
Nicole was stunned. She could not believe that Solomon would say such a thing.
If there was even a slight mistake in such a plan, it could lead to death.
This plan was too dangerous. If not all of the people in Jack's gang left or only a part of them had left, it would be no different from a sheep entering the tiger's den.
"I don't know, but it doesn't matter if we fail. At most, we'll waste another two days."
Solomon said lightly.
What he wanted to play was an information gap. By the time Jack's gang arrived, it would have been two or three days. So even if they stole or failed at that time, Jack's gang would not be able to make it back in time.
Solomon was playing a gigantic chess game. As long as he succeeded, he would be able to obtain a lot of things.
The Jack Bandits had a lot of things. He might even be able to find energy substances. When that time came, he would be able to obtain a lot of animal evolution points.
Perhaps after this operation was successful, he would be able to obtain an additional level-4 domesticated animal.
Thinking of this, Solomon's heart was filled with anticipation.
As long as there were no accidents, his plan would succeed.
"I believe you. Take this and devour it."
Nicole took out a wild boar leg from the small animal skin and gave it to Solomon.
There was still steam coming from it. It was apparent that Nicole had just heated it.

Death, Aralt realizes, might be the greater mercy. ---------------------------------------------------------- What to Expect: Character-driven Plot Novel Pacing (which I accept isn't typical for serials) Elaborate Worldbuilding (you gotta pay attention) Soul-bonded Swords Sentient Wolves Longish Chapters What Not to Expect: Litrpg (sorry!) Harem (not sorry!) Magic System Short Chapters Dancing Bears (at least so far) Seriously, this is a second-world low fantasy/science-fantasy featuring a strong, but flawed male protagonist, a cheeky teenage boy that’s driving him crazy, a wee bit o’ Scots flavor, and a whole lot of culture clashing. I’m preparing to relaunch this story on Kindle once the second and third books are ready and I’d love some feedback as I move through those revisions. I'm serious about the feedback. All comments are welcome. I'll name a characters after you. And kill them, if you want. :) Oh, did I mention soulless assassins and cannibals? Yeah, Aralt’s day is not getting any better. cover image by brosedesignz
