Immortal Path To Heaven Chapter 775

A shadow zoomed across the sky like a shooting star and hovered above the peak.
The Beast King Sect's disciples on the peak were furious upon seeing this. Several Spirit Grade powerhouses retrieved their pieces of equipment and were ready to attack. Once the shadow descended, it would suffer head-on attacks.
This was where Mao Jianbi—the Beast King Sect's great elder—resided. Although he was not on par with Yuqi the Venerable One and the old macaque, he was the most top-notch powerhouse here. All of the disciples in the sect knew this peak was a forbidden area that could not be provoked.
Normally, none of the birds would dare to fly over the peak directly because all of the spirit beasts feared the master on the peak very much.
Who knew, a bird was shrieking above at the moment, and it kept hovering without the intention to leave. This was a despicable provocation, hence anyone with guts would not tolerate it.
Mao Jianbi suddenly looked up at the sky with a dark face.
Ou Yangming's face changed. When he looked up as well, he immediately identified the shadow that was circling in the sky.
"Great Elder Mao, please calm down," he expressed in a deep voice, "It's one of my pet beasts."
"Pet beast…" Mao Jianbi was slightly stunned. He no longer looked angry, and he laughed as he responded, "Ah, it's your pet beast, Master Ou. We made a fuss about nothing." He channeled the Qi inside his dantian and spoke, "Children, you mustn't be impolite. This is Master Ou's pet beast, so it can come to my peak freely and leave without being stopped."
He did not speak loudly, but his voice was extremely penetrative such that it could be heard everywhere including the quiet corners on the mountain.
Everyone on the peak looked at each other. Whether or not they were willing to, they dared not disobey the great elder's order.
Nonetheless, some people were rather displeased. After all, Mao Jianbi was the Beast King Sect's great elder and a top-grade Spiritualist, who was only a step away from becoming a Venerable One.
Why should someone like Mao Jianbi act so modest in front of Ou Yangming? Even though the young fellow was the Phoenixes' messenger, at the end of the day, he was not a real phoenix. It would be fine as long as the great elder did not offend him, but would it be worth it for him to humble himself in front of the fellow?
Even so, the other people were not Mao Jianbi, so they naturally could not understand what the top-grade Spiritualist was really thinking.
"Thank you, Great Elder Mao." Ou Yangming nodded. He paused for a while before he added, "My pet beast doesn't know much etiquette, but it's not a reckless being. It wouldn't have barged into your mountain without reason, so I'm sure it came to find me because of something important."

Mao Jianbi wished that he could continue the test, but he did not want to delay Ou Yangming's time, thus he said, "Master Ou, if you have something else to attend to, please go ahead without any worries."
Ou Yangming nodded and smiled apologetically, then he retrieved his flying carpet and got on it to soar into the sky in the blink of an eye.
The great elder could not help but look envious when he saw the flying carpet beneath Ou Yangming.
It was true that he also had a flying carpet, but could his be compared with that of the young fellow?
Given that Ou Yangming had meticulously refined the flying carpet for himself, it was not only the most splendid and perfect one, but its speed and flight height were also the most outstanding.
People without flying carpets might not be able to tell the difference, but since Mao Jianbi had one too, he was familiar with them.
The only thing was that as thick-faced as he was, he was embarrassed to make excessive demands.

When Ou Yangming flew into the sky and got closer to the goshawk, he spotted with his sharp eyes the big fellow that was constantly circling in the sky.
Nevertheless, Ou Yangming was very much relieved when he noticed the goshawk's expression. This was because he could tell that it was not panicking and was slightly cheerful instead.
This meant that even if the goshawk came to find him because of an urgent matter, it was definitely not bad news.
"Master, Wu Yuanwei asked me to come and get you." The goshawk flapped its wings as it flew around Ou Yangming's flying carpet. It dared not delay the matter as soon as it saw him, so it quickly cut to the chase.
Ou Yangming furrowed his eyebrows and asked, "Wu Yuanwei?"
In the lower realm, Wu Yuanwei was the Wu imperial family's pillar and was known as the greatest powerhouse. With him around to guard the Wu family, they were as stable as a cornerstone.
On the other hand, after coming to the Spiritual Realm, Wu Yuanwei went from being the greatest powerhouse to someone insignificant due to his cultivation base. Therefore, he kept a low profile even in the Beast King Sect and never caused any trouble.
However, he was acting differently today.
Struck with a thought, Ou Yangming recalled something and exclaimed, "Goshawk, did some people come from the lower realm?"
The goshawk shook its head and replied to him, "Wu Yuanwei wouldn't say; he only told me to ask you to go back as soon as possible." It was evident that it was displeased about the fact that Wu Yuanwei was being so secretive about the matter, but it was helpless about the elder insisting on not revealing it. In the end, the goshawk had to bite the bullet to come and look for the young fellow.

Ou Yangming flashed and jumped onto the goshawk from his flying carpet. As he shook his wrist, the carpet turned into a luster and flew into his hand.
A flying carpet would certainly be faster than the goshawk in a long journey but if the flight range was only within the Beast King Sect, it would be handier to ride the spirit bird. Besides, Ou Yangming was eager to go back to his residence, so he would not want to waste any time.
The goshawk sensed Ou Yangming's intention. It lifted its head and shrieked, then it spread out its wings and turned into a black light as it zoomed away at the speed of light.
Down below, a tell and thin middle-aged man arrived behind Mao Jianbi without a sound and remarked softly, "Master, he's being too presumptuous!"
When Ou Yangming came, he had not only made a bold request for a challenge against Mai Jianbi, but his pet beast also came to disrupt their fight before it ended. On top of that, the young fellow left as he wished, which was very inconsiderate of him.
The disciples that also resided on the great elder's peak were not as unrestrained as those on the Venerable One's peak, but they were also a small bunch of the most excellent people, hence they had not been humiliated like that.
Mao Jianbi's face darkened, and he slowly turned around to look coldly at his disciple.
Being stared coldly at by the great elder, the tall and thin Intermediate Spiritualist shuddered with fear and had difficulty breathing.
"Hmph!" Mao Jianbi scoffed and uttered, "Just do as I say." His eyes looked colder than before as he continued, "If I find out that anyone here offended Ou Yangming, those people will be punished severely!"
"Yes," the tall and thin man instantly responded with a nod.
Mao Jianbi still would not let him go. He added, "You'll be supervising this matter. If anyone dares to disobey me, I'll punish you as well."
The tall and thin man tensed up a little and finally understood the importance of this matter. He smiled bitterly and thought, 'Looks like Master Ou's one of a kind to Master. Ah, had I known this, I wouldn't have come to seek trouble upon myself.'
Ou Yangming knew nothing about what was happening at the peak. He was already filled with anticipation.
Wu Yuanwei had hinted this after Lingfeng the Venerable One from Mount Wuzhi left, but Ou Yangming did not expect the sect to be so efficient.
The goshawk was incredibly fast, by which it directly flew past every mountain. Needless to say, it was only because it was carrying Ou Yangming on its back, or it would not have had the guts to be so unrestrained.
At last, they could see their destination from a distance away. As soon as the goshawk descended a little, Ou Yangming jumped off eagerly.
Ou Yangming was falling fast in mid-air, but he quickly slowed down halfway through as if an invisible airflow below supported him.
Wu Yuanwei and Hong Feiyu had been waiting for a long time at the peak. Seeing as the goshawk returned with Ou Yangming so swiftly, they were rather surprised.
The moment Ou Yangming landed steadily on the ground, he cut to the chase, "Senior Wu, is there news from the low realm?"
Wu Yuanwei laughed and replied to him, "Master Ou, you guessed it right. Moun Wuzhi has reopened the passage to the lower realm and brought a few of them here."
Ou Yangming's eyes lit up. He had guessed it already, but he was finally relieved when he heard it from Wu Yuanwei.
He took a deep breath to suppress his excitement and asked, "Who came?"
Wu Yuanwei would not keep it a secret, so he answered, "Your dearest Old Craftsman, Ni Yinghong from the Ni family, Miss Bai Shixue from the Yi Pavilion, and…" He paused for a while and checked Ou Yangming's expression before he continued, "Hanning as well."
Ou Yangming was dumbfounded. His face could not help but take on a strange look.
"Old Man and… The 3 ladies?"
"Yes."
Hong Feiyu laughed and cupped his hands. "Master, it's great news that they're all here."
Ou Yangming looked at him snappily and questioned, "How does this seem like great news to you?"
Hong Feiyu smiled with his eyes squinted. "Since they're willing to come here together, they must have good chemistry, so you don't need to worry too much."
Ou Yangming cast a sidelong glance at him and reprimanded, "Nonsense…"
Ever since he came to the Spiritual Realm, he had been focusing on working hard. He finally achieved some results and managed to gain a firm foothold here.
That said, the thought of the 3 ladies coming here together made him feel troubled.
If it was possible, he had hoped that they would arrive in batches.
Despite that, it was clear that he was the only one with such a thought.
Wu Yuanwei cleared his throat and noted, "Master Ou, the passage that was activated this time isn't big enough, and there's also repulsive forces from the space, so only 4 of them could be sent here. Don't worry, Jiang Jiumei will surely be able to enter the Spiritual Realm with the next batch."
Hong Feiyu slapped his forehead and mumbled, "Oh, there's another one. I can't believe that I forgot…"
Ou Yangming did not know to cry or to laugh as he shook his head. This was good news indeed as he could finally meet Old Craftsman and Ni Yinghong again.
'But why do I somehow feel anxious?'
