Fike brought Xiao Zhao, who was still stumbling around in a daze, into the inn.
The old lady glanced at the pair before addressing Fike, who was still conscious.
"I didn't expect that a handsome young master like yourself would be doing this kind of business. How delightful! Haha!"
Fike looked at the ugly old lady and replied disdainfully.
"Don't. You've misunderstood. I'm not that kind of person. We're friends!"
The old woman brushed aside his words.
"Young master, don't be so anxious. Even if you say so, there's only one empty room left in the shop tonight. You see..."
Fike glanced at Xiao Zhao, who had fallen asleep, and said through gritted teeth.
"Ah, forget it. If there's one room, we'll take one room. Whatever's open!"
The old lady giggled.
"Okay. In that case, young master, come with me!"
She raised a dark oil lamp as she led Fike and Xiao Zhao through the long corridor, coming to a door at the innermost end.
The old lady gestured.
"Young master, we're here!"
Fike walked into the room, and found that it was tiny. There was nothing but a bed, a table, and two chairs inside.
Looking at the thick layer of dust on the table, he sighed.
"Is there no cleaner room?"
Fike asked.
The old lady only chuckled.
"Master, didn't I tell you? This is the last room we have here!"
Fike shook his head helplessly and waved his hand.
"Alright, alright, off you go!"
The old lady tactfully left the room and gently closed the door behind her.
As she did, a sinister smile appeared on her face.
"After waiting for so long, finally, a rich person has arrived!"
...
Fike placed Xiao Zhao, who was already completely unconscious, softly down on the bed.

At this moment, he looked down at the dirty floor worryingly.
'Ever since I met this Zhao Ruoxian from three thousand years ago, I haven't had a good night's sleep!'
He thought to himself as he took out a quilt from the room and spread it across the floor.
Then, he slowly bent down as he prepared to sleep.
However, in the dead of night, he sensed a gathering of unknown auras approaching his room.
'Is there something strange going on in this inn?
Fike silently thought.
Concentrating his Divine Body between his ears, he was able to clearly pick up the voices from behind the door not far away.
"In this room, there's a silver-haired boy and a young girl. They were dressed very nobly, but they didn't look like people from our Donta tribe."
"So aren't they fat sheep that fell from the sky? Hahahaha!"
"Keep your voice down, don't wake them up!"
Fike smiled contemptuously after hearing the whispers in the night.
'I'm sorry, but the people who can rob me in this world haven't even appeared yet!'
At this moment, The few voices from outside the doors sounded again.
"The previous few families only had so little stuff on them. After entering this room, search carefully!"
"I got it, boss!"
"What about you?"
"I. . . I got it too!"
Fike quickly turned his body and continued pretending to be asleep.
Immediately after, the door was slowly opened.
Fike listened intently to the footsteps that indicated three people had entered his room.
They crept in slowly, the oil lamps in their hands flickering.
"Boss, looks like there'll be plenty of valuables on this kid!"
"Keep your voice down!"
"I'll search the other one!"
The three stupid thieves whispered eagerly amongst themselves as they quietly approached Fike.

One of them squatted down beside him, and started to search Fike's body.
"Nothing! We didn't find anything on him!"
"Looks like we can only search the girl!"
"I'll do it! I'll search the girl!"
"Why do you get to search! I haven't done anything yet!"
Listening to the trio's comical discussions, Fike could barely hold back his laughter.
"I'm your boss. I'll search the girl. The two of you stay by the side!"
As soon as he said that, the other two kept quiet and held their breaths.
The boss slowly made his way toward Xiao Zhao.
When he reached Fike, Fike deliberately turned his body at the exact moment the man was taking his next step forward.
The boss didn't have time to avoid him, and fell heavily to the ground.
"Argh! This damn kid!"
The other two who witnessed the scene sniffled as they held back their laughter.
"What are you laughing at? Just you wait!"
The boss slowly continued making his way to the front of Xiao Zhao's bed, and he wiped the drool from the corner of his mouth as he whispered in a soft voice.
"Little beauty! Sorry for offending you!"
Fike quietly stretched out his palm.
Several flames of various colors suddenly ignited in the room, leaving the two people behind the boss stammering in shock and fear.
"Boss... boss... This place... looks... like... There's ghosts!"
The boss turned around as he cursed.
"What ghosts? You guys have gone crazy! What did you see..."
At this moment, the boss also saw these strangely colored flames as he turned around.
"W-what... is this?"
The boss stuttered as he witnessed the eerie wisps floating in the air.
Seeing that the time was ripe, Fike smiled as he closed his palm.
The vivid flames chased after the trio.
"Ghosts... it's haunted! Hurry... run!"
The three screamed loudly as they bolted out of the door.
Xiao Zhao was awoken by the screams.
Opening her eyes slightly, she mumbled.
"Fike, what happened? Did I hear some screams just now?"
Fike simply smiled in response.
"You're worrying too much. Maybe a few flies flew past you. Go to sleep!"
Xiao Zhao agreed in her daze.
"Alright, I'm going to sleep. You sleep too!"
As soon as she was done speaking, she laid back down quietly.
...
The next day, Fike and Xiao Zhao got up early, and headed over to check out.
Seeing the pair walk out of the room so safely and casually, the old lady asked in surprise.
"The two of you are okay? Wasn't there a ghost last night?"
"What ghost?"
Xiao Zhao asked in confusion.
Only then did the old lady realize that she had let the cat out of the bag.
She quickly smiled and said apologetically.
"No, nothing. Hahaha, don't overthink it!"

Humans are complicated, awfully fragile beings, far too weak to survive amid the other extraterrestrials that lie dormant across the galaxies.
