"Have you already figured out the secrets of that stone tablet?"
Xiao Zhao asked.
"I knew it at a glance!"
Fike said.
"Then tell me quickly, what is it? Is it true that you can become immortal just by on it every day?"
Fike glanced at the naive-looking girl.
"Would it be so easy to become immortal, or become a god?
"But..."
"But what? Tell me quickly!"
Xiao Zhao asked anxiously.
"By staying near the stone tablet every day, you could absorb the mana essence on the stone tablet. After a long time, your body will produce magic power."
"What is mana essence? What is magic power?"
Xiao Zhao asked.
Fike thought for a moment before replying.
"The mana essence is similar to an endless potential of power, and magic power is a medium that allows you to channel that power.
"If you don't have mana essence in your body, then you can't release spells!"
Xiao Zhao listened and nodded, seeming to understand, before asking.
"Then you already have that mana essence in your body? That's why you were able to release the flames that day, am I right?"
Hearing this, Fike nodded.
"That's about it. You should understand now!"
Xiao Zhao looked puzzled as she continued to ask.
"Then how long do we need to stay beside this stone tablet before magic power can be absorbed?"
Fike thought for a moment and answered.
"That depends. Everyone's constitution is different. Some people may need a month, while others may need a year, maybe even longer."
"Then, Fike, with mana essence, will we be able to use that kind of magic like you?"
Fike nodded. After hesitating for a moment, however, he shook his head as he corrected himself.

"Yes, but not completely!"
"What do you mean? You've confused me!"
Xiao Zhao protested.
"Actually, what I mean is simple. Although mana essence exists within your body, the release of this also needs a medium to appear, something similar to a weapon!"
Fike was actually referring to a magic staff, but because he had the Infinite Ring in his hand, he figured outsiders wouldn't be suspicious about how he could cast spells with his bare hands.
"Then, Fike, why can you cast spells without using a weapon?"
Fike hung the ring in front of Xiao Zhao.
"Who says I don't have one? Look, isn't this it?"
She stared at the Infinite Ring for a long time, but didn't say anything.
Seeing that the girl seemed to be completely obsessed with the thought of spells, Fike immediately changed the subject.
"Alright, alright, we'll talk about this later! Look, we've already arrived at the ancient temple that grandpa mentioned just now!"
Xiao Zhao came back to her senses and looked at the relatively large building in front of them.
There was a plaque hanging on the eaves of the door, inscribed with the words 'Ancient Temple of Gufa'.
"Let's go in and look for any information regarding world deities!" Fike cheered.
Xiao Zhao nodded as she followed Fike, who knocked on the door of the ancient temple.
"Hello! Is there anyone there?"
Fike asked politely.
After a while, a man dressed in plain clothes opened the door.
Seeing this, he greeted the man.
"Hello, I am an immortal cultivator. I want to find out more about world deities. Could you let us in to have a look?"
The man didn't say anything, and merely gestured with his hand to invite them in.
Fike led Xiao Zhao into the ancient temple.

Upon entering the grounds, the first thing that met their eyes was the countless cultivators sitting cross-legged on the ground.
Their eyes were closed and their hands were clasped together as they quietly recited some sort of mantra.
Finally, the man opened his mouth and asked.
"You are from the east, right?"
After hearing the man's words, Xiao Zhao said excitedly.
"We are indeed from the east. Master has really good observation!"
The man's expression remained stoic as he continued.
"Actually, it wasn't me who predicted it. It was Master Quan. He told us three days ago that two immortal cultivators from the east would arrive in the next few days."
"Master Quan?"
Fike asked in puzzlement.
The man remained silent as he continued to make an inviting gesture with his hand.
Then, he led Fike and Xiao Zhao to the inner hall of the ancient temple.
When they arrived, Fike spotted a young man who looked like a monk, sitting quietly on a futon as he meditated.
On the altar in front of him was a statue of a god cast in gold.
The statue's eyes were wide open, brandishing a longsword in its hand. It looked like it was overflowing with killing intent.
"Master Quan," the man called as he went behind the young monk.
"Master Quan, just as you said, the two immortal cultivators from the east have arrived."
"I understand."
A low and hoarse voice replied, the gravelly tone completely unexpected from the young monk.
"Pu, you go!"
The man nodded as he left the inner hall.
Seeing that the young monk's back was still facing them, Fike opened his mouth to speak.
"Master Quan, we are immortal cultivators from the east. We are here today to understand information regarding world deities!
"It would be even better if you knew anything regarding primordial gods!"
After hearing this, Master Quan remained silent, leaving his back still facing Fike.
Fike wasn't too worried about the young master ignoring him.
However, Xiao Zhao beside him whispered impatiently.
"Fike, this Master Quan's attitude is too arrogant!"
Fike only smiled awkwardly in response.
At this moment, Master Quan suddenly spoke.
"Our guests that come from afar usually wait for days and nights. Are you going to give up just after these few minutes of waiting?
"If your heart is not sincere, how can you become a god?"
After hearing his words, Fike immediately understood their hidden implications.
So, Fike pulled Xiao Zhao along as he knelt on the futon beside the young monk.
He closed his eyes, and began to wait silently.
Xiao Zhao was a little impatient at first, but seeing Fike shoot her a pleading expression, she could not bear to leave. So, she decided to wait silently with him as well.
Finally, after an unknown amount of time had passed, Master Quan spoke again.
"The two of you, if you have any questions, you may voice them."
Seeing that Master Quan had finally spoken, Fike asked.
"Master Quan! Do you know where the original god Is?"
"Original god... I've never heard of this name."
Master Quan said leisurely.
Seeing that his inquiry was fruitless, Fike continued to ask.
"Then, may I ask, Master Quan, do you know anything about world deities?"
