MMORPG: I Can See Hidden Information Chapter 135

"My compass has detected the aura of a Demon Overlord-tier Exotic Beast at the top of the Exotic Beast Tower.
"But with my current strength, it'll be very difficult for me to contend with it alone. I need your help!"
After listening, Cisco immediately said.
"Mr. Hankov, are you going to the Exotic Beast Tower too?"
Hankov nodded.
"I've been going back and forth between the Beast Tower and this desert station several times.
"But the danger level of the Exotic Beast Tower is extremely high. Even the creatures stationed nearby are already as strong as Overlord-tier."
After hearing Hankov's words, Fike quickly asked.
"Then, Mr. Hankov, what does the Beast Tower look like?"
"The Exotic Beast Tower has a total of 36 floors. Each floor has beasts of different levels stationed on them.
"But because of the ongoing collapse of Miracle, it had been buried under layers of sand."
"Then how do we enter?"
Lan Xi asked.
"Don't worry about that.
"The beasts in the tower have dug a passage in the Gobi Desert, just to the east of the Great Rero Desert."
Hankov answered.
"Then what are we waiting for? Let's go!"
Casey seemed to be the most excited.
"Don't be in such a rush! If you act rashly, even if you aren't killed by the Exotic Beasts, you'll be roasted to death by the scorching sun of the Great Rero Desert!"
Everyone turned to look at each other.
"Yeah… Look, we've only walked a short distance, and we're already like this!"
Cisco agreed.
"Then, Mr. Hankov, do you have any solutions for us?"
Casey asked.
Hankov procured six aquamarine-colored badges from his backpack before handing them out to everyone.
"This is an Aqua-Sun Badge that I developed myself. Wearing it will help expel the heat from your surroundings. Quick, put it on!"

They took the badges gratefully and put it on themselves.
Instantly, a cool and refreshing sensation spread throughout their bodies.
"So cool!"
Iamas exclaimed.
"Now, we're good! Get ready to set out! We're going to the Exotic Beast Tower!"
Hankov announced.
Fike seemed to have thought of something as he asked abruptly.
"Mr. Hankov, where are the Exotic Beasts you've captured?"
Seeing Fike's confusion, Hankov pressed on a remote control in his hand.
Following this, a set of secret doors gave way on the wall of the courier station, revealing an army of countless Exotic Beasts standing on attention inside a vast room.
The group had never seen so many Exotic Beasts gathered in one place before, and stared at each other, dumbfounded.
Cisco was the first to recover and speak.
"How did you capture them?"
Hankov smiled as he replied.
"My class is different from all of yours. I'd even be so bold to say that it's probably one that's unique throughout the whole world of Miracle! I named it Beast Trainer!"
"Beast Trainer?"
"That's right! I can control the thoughts and behaviors of these Exotic Beasts with the spells in my body. It's a bit like what the evil god does to humans!"
"I didn't know that such an incredible class could exist in this world!"
Casey sighed.
"Now that everyone knows everything about me, we can set off!"
After Hankov said that, he rallied the group as they walked out of the desert courier station together.
...
Following Hankov's lead, Fike and the others passed through the numerous identical sand dunes one after another.
Unceasing barrages of yellow sand blew past them. The deeper they went, the harder it was to breathe.
Finally, even Hankov's pace came to a slow.

At this time, Fike spotted a huge crack in the ground.
A canyon blocked their path from the Great Rero Desert to the further east.
"We're here!"
Hankov announced.
Not far from that canyon, scattered Exotic Beasts wandered around aimlessly.
Fike discovered that among them, the lowest leveled one was an Elite-tier.
"Should we rush up and kill them or take a detour?"
Cisco asked Hankov.
"We can only take them head-on. This is the only way to enter the Exotic Beast Tower."
Fike volunteered abruptly.
"Let me deal with them!"
As he placed his palm on his temple, Fike's third golden eye appeared, sparkling with countless rays of brilliant converging golden light.
Suddenly, a beam shot from it toward the group of gathered creatures.
"Demon Slaying Ray!"
The Exotic Beasts were instantly reduced to ashes before everyone's eyes.
When the professors beside Fike saw the power of his skill, they were all taken aback.
"Fike, I didn't expect your ray to be so powerful! It seems that you went easy on us during the freshmen trial!"
Fike could only smile awkwardly after hearing that.
"Alright, now that the beasts have been eliminated, we can enter the canyon!"
Hankov mobilized the group, and they soon stood on the edge of the canyon, looking down at the endless abyss below them.
Everyone drew in a sharp breath of air.
"I really didn't expect it to be so deep here!"
Lan Xi muttered.
"How do we go down?"
Thor asked.
Meanwhile, Hankov was fiddling with ropes he had taken out from his backpack.
"Use this!"
The old man stabbed one end of the rope into a crack under his feet before tossing the other end into the canyon.
"Alright, that's that, we can go now!"
Hankoff handed the remaining rope to the group, and was about to go down himself.
Suddenly Fike intervened.
"There's no need to go through so much trouble! I have a simpler method!"
Before Fike had finished his sentence, he was already flying in mid-air, both his feet completely off the ground.
This wasn't some flying technique or skill. In fact, it was a side benefit that the Divine Body granted Fike.
He could freely manipulate and designate the Primordial Qi in his body to any part he wished, which not only made his physical body invincible, but also allowed him to fly freely in the sky like a god.
"Who's first?"
Fike asked.
Cisco volunteered.
"I'll go first! I want to explore the scenery below!"
"Okay!"
Fike picked him up before diving into the abyss, heading to the bottom of the canyon.
Even as he dived, Fike could sense that the aura and killing intent of the Exotic Beasts here was especially potent.
Once they had found the bottom, Fike let go of Cisco as they landed, raising their heads to look at the sky.
They saw that the sky had turned into nothing more than a sliver of light.
"I didn't expect it to be so deep down here!"
Cisco said to himself.
Before their eyes, a black fortress that seemed to have grown in the rocky wall appeared before them, its huge black doors tightly shut.
Fike and Cisco exchanged a look.
"The aura of the Exotic Beasts in there is really thick!"

The Runners of Westal
Anya Vorian wasn't picky. She'd take any apprenticeship that came her way. She, Lori and Andrew had prepared all winter for the interviews, but when only one offer came with her name on it, she suddenly wasn't so sure that she could do it. It was hard work, for one thing. It was dirty. They were respected, certainly, but in the sort of way that one respects a skilled plumber - grateful to have the job done, but glad it isn't your arms elbow deep in dung. In short, runners were odd folk. Maybe it was time to get fast. - A first-person tale inspired by long distance running.

Sanguine
The Coles are probably the definition of a small dysfunctional family, even if they weren’t the worst in existence; they would probably be lauded as an example of the term. The Coles were a small family though. The father, Oliver Cole, was an asshole ex-football jock who bounced around in small paying jobs after wasting most of his life drinking, drugging and whoring. The daughter, Stacy Cole, was smart, but had many issues including anger, trouble with authority, and occasional suicidal thoughts, and was kicked out of many a school for disruptive behaviour. The son, Mike Cole, was innocent, and tried his best to be kind to anyone and everyone, however his own speech impediment, and slow nature only aided people to bully and belittle him, including his own father. The Coles were indeed a dysfunctional family. At least they were, until they got to the small town near the border between the United States and Canada, Sanguine. Welcome to Sanguine. You will stay. With the exception of the first chapter, each chapter only follows one character. The first chapter is the only chapter in which I will include 'Sides' where it follows a different character. This is a short Lovecraftian story, it won't go above seventeen chapters. Note: the book cover is my first attempt, it might not even remain like it is, I was just tired of seeing the standard 'no cover' thing on it.
