MMORPG: I Can See Hidden Information Chapter 84

Trudy looked at the referee in disbelief, protesting in a hoarse voice.
"How is that possible? I can't even feel his aura. How is it possible that he didn't fall?"
As the teachers on the rostrum of the Spell School heard these words, Cisco commented.
"If you can't feel your opponent's aura during a battle, there are only two possibilities. Either the opponent has already fallen, or the opponent's strength is in a much higher league than yours."
"It's obvious that Fike is using a technique far surpassing Trudy's, which is why Trudy can't sense his aura."
Chambers added on.
At this moment, the head of the Close-combat Magic Department wore a somewhat embarrassed expression.
"Alright, alright. Let's just continue watching the match."
After a short while, the smoke dispersed, revealing Fike before Trudy's field of vision, standing unscathed.
"How... How is this possible? Even if you are strong, how... how can you be completely unscathed?"
Trudy fumbled in disbelief.
He looked at Fike, who only reached out to pat off the dust on his left shoulder.
He looked no different that he was a few minutes ago.
"No one can remain unscathed... Facing my Burning Rose, don't tell me you..."
Trudy's eyes widened as he gawked at Fike.
Fike only smiled lightly.
"It's time to conclude the match."
In a flash, Fike raised his sword, waving it toward Trudy, who quickly raised his Burning Rose to defend himself.
The instant the two magical blades clashed...
The red flames that had been protruding from the short blade dissipated completely.
Looking at the truly unbelievable scene before him, Trudy could only exclaim in shock.
"How could this happen again?"
The demonic eye on Fike's weapon blinked once more, emitting the same crimson glow as before.

As that happened, the Burning Rose in Trudy's hand fell heavily onto the stage out of his hands, as if it had gone out of control and no longer wanted to be used.
Fike slowly brought his blade up, resting it on Trudy's neck.
"Admit defeat, you can't beat me," Fike suggested calmly.
Trudy could only lower his head and grumble in a low voice.
"Referee, I admit defeat!"
At that, a burst of enthusiastic applause erupted from the audience.
"This Fike is too strong! He made Trudy surrender without any bloodshed!"
"Yeah, yeah! Fike didn't even use his strong long-range spells this round. He won simply by relying on his close-combat sword skills. He's too strong!"
"Fike is simply the strongest god among men in the Spell School! God Fike, I love you!"
Meanwhile, in the stands, the teachers who had been watching the match had also been shaken by Fike's sheer strength.
"What's the weapon in Fike's hand?" Cisco asked, "How come I've never seen it before?"
Maggie smiled faintly as she explained Cisco and the other teachers.
"Oh, you mean the demonic sword. That weapon was specially made for Fike by Tegpus!"
At the mention of the name Master Tegpus, everyone was stunned even more.
This was especially true for Chambers, whose expression had contorted into the most exaggerated face of betrayal.
"This... this, this- How long have Master Tegpus and Fike known each other? How could he have personally made such a unique weapon for Fike? There's no other explanation for it, Fike is the master's biological grandson!"
He cried out.
Ignoring his tantrum, Maggie continued.
"According to Fike, it seems that the quality of that magic sword was something that even Master Tegpus himself couldn't detect. However, it seems that only king-tier equipment can even begin to contend against it!"

"King-tier?"
The teachers were once again dumbstruck.
"Teacher Maggie, do you really believe Fike's words? It's not like you don't know what the concept of a king-tier entails, right?
"Throughout the entirety of Miracle, no king-tier equipment after the primordial era ended has ever been forged, okay?"
Chambers said in disbelief.
Cisco spoke up again.
"If the boy's words are true, then isn't 'that weapon' the only thing that could stand a chance against his demonic blade in the whole of Yogmo Academy?"
Everyone seemed to share a look of understanding.
"Are you referring to the unparalleled divine weapon left behind by the first headmaster, Cisco? The Elemental Magic Wand - Prometheus' Sacred Flame?"
Cisco nodded.
Everyone could not help but sit in stunned silence. They had not expected Fike's demonic sword to be on par with the Elemental Magic Wand created by the god of creation himself.
"I didn't think he'd obtain such an unparalleled weapon in just a few days... It seems that our Spell School has truly been blessed!"
Cisco mumbled in awe.
In the meantime, Fike had already slowly begun walking down from the stage.
Amidst the cheers of the crowd, he seemed to be enjoying himself.
Irene and senior Molly, who hadn't been around for a while, were also walking toward Fike excitedly.
"Congratulations, you've won the first match easily!"
Molly commended.
"Fike, Fike, did you not even use one-tenth of your strength? I saw you beating Trudy as if you were just warming up!"
Irene complimented him as well.
Fike, who seemed to be somewhat enjoying himself, responded to the two's questions.
Soon, a large group of girls had clustered behind the trio, surrounding Fike closer and closer.
This was to be expected. After all, not only was he powerful, Fike was also handsome. After his demonstration in this battle, he had already become the dream lover of many girls.
At this moment, Fike was shuffling through the crowd bashfully, attempting to walk toward the resting area.
Suddenly, a familiar figure appeared in front of Fike's eyes.
It was a beautiful girl. She had a familiar hair color and a familiar look. A familiar weapon hung on her waist. Waist...? That's right, that slender waist was also familiar to Fike.
"Fike, you'd disappeared just like that, I didn't expect to find you with such a big harem!"
"Sertia?"
It was Sertia. Before Fike could say anything, she huffed.
"I thought you died in Miracle Forest. It seems that my concerns have been completely unnecessary!"
She made a show of turning around and leaving.
Seeing that Sertia seemed to be a little angry as she left, Fike hurriedly ran to chase after her.
The wind in his trail left everyone at a loss.
"Looks like Fike and the Melee School's flower seem to have some kind of hidden relationship!"
Everyone sighed.
"No! I won't allow my Prince Charming to fall for anyone! It must be that Sertia who'd taken the initiative to seduce Fike!"
"Yes, that must be the case, that cunning vixen! She actually seduced our innocent Lord Fike away so quickly! Damn it!"
Hearing the angry words of the girls behind them, Irene and Molly looked at each other, smiling.
"Looks like our Fike is going to be trouble among everyone in Yogmo Academy in the future! Haha!"

Cybernetic Dragon
Idea Seven, or Inter Dimensional Explorer Automaton Unit-7, has had a bit of an accident. Hijacking the egg of a dragon rather than its intended target of a bird egg, it isn't fully in control of its host brain. Rather the two, dragon and cybernetic AI interface, must work together to survive in a hostile world of magic, dungeons, beasts and adventurers. The AI must deal with being a machine from a world of science trying to carry out its mission of exploration, while the dragon, Rex, must deal with being a cyborg living with symbiotic nanotech that sets him apart from other dragons. What adventures await them? Author Note: I tagged this story GameLit because it contains concepts like levels, classes, and dungeon/beast cores. But, it isn't tagged LitRPG because no one has status screens, other than occasionally Idea Seven who likes to organize data into blue boxes. It isn't a natural function of the world to display level ups or skill ups with an announcer voice. I mention this to set expectations, because otherwise I feel like LitRPG fans might be disappointed by my lack of LitRPG elements while others might be turned off thinking I have a lot of LitRPG elements. I think that if you approach the story with an open mind you will appreciate the gradual way in which the main character learns and expands his understanding of how the world works, but the game mechanics aren't meant to take center stage to the actual story.

Artifice: Iysinfyr
Nalulthyn is the young daughter of a duke that is one day asked for a favor. This favor involves the adopted daughter of the duke from a neighboring area. This girl has had a traumatic past and has closed herself off from the world completely and reacts violently when touched by anyone but her personal maid. The duke hopes that a girl close to the age of his adoptive daughter will be what she needs to recover, but things are never as easy as they seem. First is that this adopted daughter is a Terran, a rare being from a different world that has skin and hair as white as snow and an almost alien build. Second is that there is a power to this girl, one that makes her recovery all the more dangerous to Nalulthyn and perhaps beyond. Author's note: This is a soft reboot of Artifice: Tools of the Gods. As I wrote the other story years ago I felt it would be better to do this approach as my writing has changed and improved since then. For now only two characters will return though I might reintroduce others later in the story. Even though this has the gore tag, I don't plan on being excessive with it. Most chapters shouldn't have any. The only reason I have it is to be realistic with the descriptions.

Voidsong (A NaNoWriMo 2018 winner)
Synopsys: The Empire thought humanity died, and forgot all about it. The Empire is mistaken. A Note From the Author: This story was written as a National Novel Writing Month 2018 entrant. As such, its entire 50,000+ word length was written between November 1, 2018 and November 31, 2018. Overall, I would consider this no more than a polished draft. In that vein, the chapters have no names, only numbers. Special thanks to Chronus on youtube for answering my questions on NATO radio procedures! My Apologies to the Finnish Language, which I have abused in (probably) unforgivable ways to create Twisted Empire names. If anyone is interested, break the names up by commas and toss them into your favorite translation program (I used Google Translate, and tried to avoid umlauts and other accents) for some semi bilingual boni. If I got something wrong (and I know I did… somewhere…) let me know over on reddit and I will see what I can do to fix the mistake. Lyrics, where included, are cited in footnotes.
