MMORPG: I Can See Hidden Information Chapter 75

Fike was shocked as he heard Tegpus' wondrous description.
Who knew that a small auction could have such power?
It even carried out human trafficking!
Fike had mixed feelings of excitement and surprise. He was glad that there would probably be many useful goods up for grabs at the auction, but was also somewhat taken aback by the existence of such an illegal underground industry in Miracle.
"Master," Fike started, "then what exactly is it that we're looking for today?"
Tegpus answered him directly.
"Exotic Meteorite, a rare material that would perfectly match your beast's tusk."
He continued, "I've been keeping an eye on this piece for a long time. Today will be the last time it appears at the auction."
"The last time? Why?"
"Because the properties of this material are strange. It can't be used on ordinary equipment at all. It seems to be completely incompatible with any other material in Miracle.
"Even the rarest materials could not be used together with this Extoc Meteorite.
"That's why no one has ever bought it."
Fike's understanding of forging increased by quite a bit as he continued listening attentively to the master blacksmith's words.
"It's said that this Exotic Meteorite and those Exotic Beasts all come from the same place.
"Some distant alien planet, perhaps?"
Fike was deep in thought. Although he now understood quite a significant portion of the history and structure of the world of Miracle, he still knew nothing about the origins or nature of these alien beasts.
Soon, Tegpus and Fike arrived at the location of the Romon Auction.
It was located in a remote alley in the west of Romon Kingdom.
If there hadn't been for an acquaintance who led the way, they would never have found its entrance.

Leading Fike forward, Tegpus pushed open a broken iron door.
What greeted them was an old dilapidated house.
Fike observed their surroundings in disbelief.
"Master, are you sure this is the place?"
Tegpus did not say anything. He just silently lifted a curtain at the entrance of the inner room.
"Just follow me."
Fike walked through the curtain.
An extremely long and narrow staircase led a long way downstairs, its faraway end emitting waves of dazzling light.
Fike followed Tegpus down the stairs, and the scene that met him left him completely dumbstruck.
The actual location of the Romon Auction was blatantly magnificent, not inferior at all to the flamboyance of the Romon Restaurant.
A huge luxurious crystal chandelier hung from the ceiling, its dazzling reflections of light scattered across the entire venue.
On the ground, all kinds of people shuffled through the auction.
Among them were nobles dressed in expensive, elegant clothes, guards in royal armor, and even beggars dressed in barely anything but shabby clothes.
Just as Fike had been stunned, taking in the absurdity of it all, a beautiful girl dressed in a bunny outfit walked toward him.
"Dear sir, would you like to sell or buy something?"
Before Fike could respond, Tegpus cut in.
"We're here to buy. Oh, by the way, Call Lan Xi over for me!"
At his words, the bunny girl immediately bowed courteously.
"Sorry, dear sir, I didn't recognize you. You're an honored guest. This way, please."
The girl led the pair around the circular inner court before bringing them up the stairs to a room decorated with unusual jewelry.
"Miss Lan Xi is in the room."
Tegpus waved her off, and the bunny girl left.
Tegpus pushed the door open.
The woman that met Fike's gaze was a peerless beauty that could have easily toppled cities and countries. She had a beautiful, charming face, and adorned herself with a pair of jade earrings intricately carved into the shape of a phoenix.

A swallow-tail hairpin in the shape of a phoenix rested on her head, glinting purple and gold.
Her delicate red lips existed in harmony with her tall nose bridge and pair of large, lively eyes on the canvas of her fair face.
For a moment, Fike felt that only Zhao Ruoxian could've come close to matching this woman's looks.
No, she seemed to be even more attractive than Zhao Ruoxian. The air this woman exuded was alluring on its own, completely incomparable to the wisened aura of a 3,000-year-old woman that Zhao Ruoxian released.
"Oh, what brings the king of blacksmiths here? The Romon Auction has truly been graced with an honor tonight!"
"Lan Xi, don't tease me. I'm here today to buy something."
"What is it exactly that has brought Lord Tegpus to my humble abode?"
"Exotic Meteorite!"
Tegpus said bluntly.
"Ah, I knew it was something good... so it's that.
"This is the fourth time this week it has been auctioned, but it will also be the last!"
Looking at Lan Xi, Tegpus said to her, "I won't beat around the bush. Actually, I wanted to sell something else this time as well."
Lan Xi shifted her gaze to Fike with interest.
"Ah," she noted.
"Knowing how you are, I doubt that you'll be trying to sell any equipment you've personally made. Could it be this little brother beside you?"
Lan Xi walked to Fike's side and took his hand.
Fike felt as if he had been electrocuted, his heart racing.
"Handsome... Strong body, tall too? As for here..."
Fike suddenly shivered, a numb feeling spreading from his toes to his brain.
"This little brother is also very energetic, hahaha...
"It's such a pity that such a high-quality young man is going on the auction market. It would be fine if he met a rich woman, but if he met a perverted uncle…"
Still holding on to Fike's hand, Lan Xi said to Tegpus, "Lord Tegpus, why don't you just sell this little brother to me? I'll give you a price that you can't refuse. How about it?"
Tegpus looked at Fike with a smirk before replying to Lan Xi.
"I can't decide that for him. If you'd like, ask him yourself. But you'll definitely like what I'm selling today!"
Lan Xi glanced at Fike with disappointment, but didn't let go of his hand.
Fike also let her continue holding his hand. He seemed to be enjoying the feeling of being held by a beauty.
Lan Xi continued.
"What could've made Lord Tegpus say such words? You'll really have to let me see it!"
Tegpus looked at Fike.
"Fike, quick, take out that fang and show it to her."
Fike only came back to his senses after hearing Tegpus' call.
He hurriedly started to look for the Demon Prince-tier Exotic Beast's fang from his backpack.
"So the little brother's name is Fike. He's really cute!"
Suddenly, Lan Xi whispered into Fike's ear.
"Young man, would you like to be eaten by me?"

The Lies They Told Me: Short stories from my life
Like many of my peers, I've discovered that life is not quite what I expected it to be. As I age, I've begun to find that many of the sayings and truths that my parents, authority figures, and friends have passed on to me were outright lies. Every person I know has been subject to the same interactions, which got me thinking, why not write a compilation of stores about my life experiences to date. I hope that this book will help all of us come to terms with the realities that we face today or deal with some of our deepest feelings about the past. Maybe these people lied to us and maybe they honestly believed the myriad of things they told us, but either way I think we can have a good laugh looking back and remembering the first times that we realized these things weren't true. I also hope that you can look back at the lies, or life lessons, that you've learned and can be inspried to own your stories and share them with others in a genuine way. Wiithout further ado, I hope that you enjoy the many short stories of my life that made me who I am today. These stories range from funny to down right surrel, so good luck on your journey!
