Chapter 50: Traveling With Sertia, Entered the Miracle Forest
Translator: EndlessFantasy Translation Editor: EndlessFantasy Translation
Fike quickly dismissed the girl’s words, waving his hand.
“I’m not an accomplice of these thugs.”
The girl sized him up as she put away the blood-stained blade in her hands before turning to leave the city.
Seeing as the girl was not making things difficult for him, Fike did not say a word as he followed her, walking straight toward the city gates.
Suddenly, the girl turned around and looked at him.
“I sense that you seem to be much stronger than these local hooligans. Who exactly are you?”
Hearing the girl’s words, Fike quickly restrained his aura.
“I’m just an insignificant priest, there’s no need to pay me any mind. But you… Judging by your strength, you should at least be a silver-rank Assassin.”
Noticing that Fike spoke in such a calm manner, the girl withdrew the sharpness in her words.
“I don’t think you look like someone who would associate with these hoodlums. May I ask where you’re heading once you’ve left the city?”
Fike observed that the girl had let down her guard.
“I’m going to the royal city of Romon. What about you?”
The girl smiled.
“I’m going there too.”
“Why don’t we travel together? We can watch out for each other on the way!” Fike suggested politely.
Truth be told, he had only asked in the interests of being polite. He figured that the girl would definitely reject him anyway.
She hesitated for a moment before smiling again.
“Okay, then let’s go together.”
Fike was trying not to reveal his true identity to anyone, and now he had to fill in the hole he had dug.
Seeing his slightly awkward expression, the girl went on to ask.

“Why, didn’t you want to come with me?”
Fike could only answer bashfully.
“Of course, it’d be my honor to accompany you.”
Fike staggered as he quickly went to the girl’s side.
“I still don’t know your name?”
“Sertia, what about you?”
“I’m Fike, a priest!”
“Okay, I got it.”
After walking a couple dozen meters, they had left the city gates and now stood just outside Ledda.
Looking back at the dilapidated city behind him, Fike recalled the memory of when he had just arrived here.
Back then, this place had been prosperous and grand. There was nothing left of that now.
Fike sighed. Coming back to reality, he noticed the map in Sertia’s hands.
“Fike, do you know where’s the north?”
He stared blankly at the pretty girl in front of him, recalling her cold and heartless face back when he had first seen her.
He had not expected her to have such a terrible sense of direction.
“Come with me. We’ll have to go through Miracle Forest first.”
…
A few days soon passed.
At the time, the sky was getting dark. Fike and Sertia had finally arrived at the southern entrance of Miracle Forest.
Along the way, the pair had not communicated much, both tacitly keeping silent. Along the way, they maintained a formation with Fike leading the way and Sertia trailing behind.
“We’re finally here, Sertia. Once we pass through Miracle Forest, we’ll find the royal city of Romon.”
“Hmm, I think we should continue on our journey. Perhaps we can arrive before daybreak!”
Fike glanced at the girl as he thought to himself.
‘Does this girl have any relatives in Romon? Why is she on a nonstop journey? I’m a priest now, so I don’t consume any energy. But isn’t she an assassin? Why does it seem like she has an endless supply of energy as well?’

Without giving him any more time to think, Sertia pulled out a bundle of purified black-striped grass, handing it to Fike.
“After walking for so long, I think your energy should almost be used up. This black-striped grass can increase your energy, you should use some.”
Fike was speechless. After all, he was the one who had gathered the purified black-striped grass and sold it on the market.
“Uh, there’s no need, my class doesn’t consume energy. Thank you for your kindness.”
“By the way, why haven’t I seen the priest class before? Was there an option for this class?”
Fike scratched his head as he replied, “Maybe there was a game update.”
Sertia revealed a playfully envious expression.
“Is the priest class so good that they don’t even need to replenish their energy?”
“Yeah, hahaha.”
Fike was awkward, not daring to say anything more to the girl.
He knew that if he said too much, his identity would be exposed.
In Ledda City, Sertia had already seemed to have some doubts about his identity.
He would have to be even more careful.
“Oh right, do you know Mike?”
Fike hesitated for a moment before he answered.
“I’ve heard of the name. Why? Do you know him?”
“No, I don’t know him. I just think that the guy is too ostentatious. Even if his intentions are good, it’ll be easy to get himself killed if he continues to act like this.
“I’ve also heard that his strength should at least be gold rank, and that the Mike who had been snatched by the various palaces in Ledda city was actually just his clone.
“He’s also killed an Overlord-tier Exotic Beast. Do you still remember those airships sent by the Heavenly King’s Palace? That was Mike who swept through all of them with just one move.”
Fike was silent for a while.
The girl continued, “Yeah, I wonder where this Mike is now?
“I personally think that his current strength has already reached or even surpassed platinum-tier. In the entirety of Miracle, other than the Miracle natives or the Exotic Beasts themselves, I doubt there’s anyone from Earth who is a match for him.”
Fike didn’t dare to be proud as he listened to Sertia continuously praising him.
Now that his real self was in the limelight, he would have to be even more careful.
If the various palaces were to find out about his separate identities, not only would he have to deal with Exotic Beasts, these palaces naturally wouldn’t let him off so easily either.
“Hey, what’s wrong, Fike? Why aren’t you responding?”
Fike snapped back to his senses as he replied Sertia.
“I was just thinking of something else. Oh right, why are you going to the royal city of Romon?”
He quickly changed the topic, afraid that Sertia would develop more doubts about him.
“I’m going to Yogmo Academy to learn, I want to increase my level and learn some new skills. What about you, Fike?”
He hesitated for a moment. His mind turned quickly, but he was only able to imitate Sertia’s words as he said, “Actually, I’m also planning to visit Yogmo Academy to learn some new skills and raise my level.”
“Oh, is that so? I heard that quite a number of Earth players have already arrived at Romon a few days ago. Since that’s the case, let’s speed up so that we catch up to them. How about it?”
Fike looked at the girl’s eager face before replying indifferently.
“Mm, alright!”
