Hidden Marriage With My Imperfect CEO Chapter 405

"Raka, I heard you followed Nico into the forest. Thank you!" Aiden's eyes looked towards Raka who was standing far from the door.
Raka did not come into the room because he did not want to disturb the moment of their family. He was an outsider, not in the social circle of these people. The only person close to him was Nico.
Besides, his relationship with Anya and Aiden was very awkward…
Raka stood in the corridor looking at Aiden from afar. He felt relieved when he found out that Aiden was fine.
Raka was always humble and didn't expect to be thanked for the help he had given. However, his kindness touched everyone's hearts, including Aiden. When he learned that Aiden had disappeared in the forest, Raka immediately took the initiative to go into the forest with Nico.
"Don't thank me. Nico is very worried about you," said Raka with a smile.
When he said this, his eyes glanced at Anya. Anya also stared at him so that their gazes collided with each other.
Anya smiled thankfully at him. Knowing that Raka went into the forest to find Aiden, she was really grateful.
Aiden pretended not to see the interaction between Raka and Anya. He took the initiative to say, "Today, we will eat together on the top floor of the hotel. If you're not in a rush to go home, you can join us and have dinner with us later,"
"Thank you for the offer. But I'm planning to go to a campfire tonight. I better not interfere with your event," Raka politely declined.
"Raka, you can come with us. The bonfire event was anything but exciting. It would be more fun to have dinner with us," Nico hoped that Raka would come and spend time with them.

"Yes, that's right. Raka, come with us," Anya said. She did not mind Raka joining them. After all, she was with Aiden.
What's more, Raka was kind enough to help Nico find Aiden.
After all, Anya didn't have any feelings for Raka.
But what about Raka?
Tara knew that Raka refused because he was thinking about Anya's feelings. He was afraid that Anya would feel uncomfortable if he joined them.
But Anya had forgotten her past with Raka. She was really happy with Aiden now. Meanwhile, Raka didn't want to join them because he hadn't completely forgotten about Anya.
Tara remembered comments circulating on the internet saying that Raka was a good man because of his sincerity towards Anya.
If possible, Tara really wanted Anya and Raka to be friends even though they couldn't end up together.
Therefore, she joined in with a smile. "You've helped to bring Aiden out of the forest, so you have to enjoy it too. Come on,"
Even though everyone had asked him, Raka still looked doubtful. Therefore, Nico used his latest stance.
"Honey, everyone on the internet says that we are a couple. How could you leave me and go to that bonfire event alone? You should have accompanied me! If you don't come with me, I'll kiss you in front of everyone!" Nico threatened while smiling mischievously.
Tara immediately bursted out laughing at that. "Nico, do you want to break Raka's life spirit on purpose?"
Anya tried to hide her smile, but her lips betrayed her.
Nico was just too cute!
"Honey..." Nico approached Raka. His hands reached out to embrace Raka's neck and tried to kiss his cheek once more.
Raka immediately raised his hand to protect himself. Then he pushed Nico's body in disgust. "Okay, I will join. Now you guys eat. I don't want to interfere with your meal,"

After saying that, Raka immediately turned around and was about to run away from Nico.
"Honey, I'll be waiting for you. Don't forget to come!" Nico followed Raka out of the room and shouted loudly in the middle of the corridor.
The chief manager and restaurant manager could be seen standing next to each other at the end of the corridor. Both of them immediately turned towards the wall, pretending they didn't see and hear anything.
Raka could only shake his head helplessly. He was completely defeated. Being friends with Nico was fun, but it also gave him a headache.
His relationship with Nico had been circulating on the internet, but Raka did not intend to explain the truth.
He felt better if everyone misunderstood him like this…
Nico's goal was to force Bima to announce his decision immediately. Lisa was pregnant. As long as Bima was willing to give his shares, Nico would immediately get engaged to Lisa and break the rumors circulating on the internet.
The child in Lisa's stomach was the best proof that could easily break the rumors between Nico and Raka's relationship.
At that time, Raka could also explain that this was all a misunderstanding. He and Nico had been friends for years and used to joke like this.
'Everything will be fine… Everything will return to normal…'
Raka knew that Nico used him to create rumors and furor. But as Nico's best friend, he didn't mind working with Nico.
Nico stood in front of the door until Raka's figure disappeared. Then, he went inside and sat down with his uncle.
"Uncle, why can't we reach you? What really happened?" Nico asked.
Aiden took out his cellphone and showed him that it was broken.
Nico also brought Aiden's cellphone case that had fallen in the forest and asked, "How can your cellphone be destroyed like this?"
Aiden's face immediately turned awkward. He cleared his throat softly and said, "The wild boars immediately came together. I didn't shoot them because I didn't want to but then they all got aggressive and attacked us,"
"After one of them separated from the packs, I shot it. But it turned out that the wild boar did not die immediately. Instead, he summoned his flock and charged. We didn't have time to fight back and climb straight up the tree"
"Can wild boars not climb trees?" Nico asked curiously.
Tara immediately rolled her eyes when she heard Nico's stupid question.
"If they charge quickly and in groups, maybe they can climb up a little while climbing their friend's body. Uncle, tell me quickly. How did your cell phone get damaged?"
"They couldn't climb so they butted the tree I was climbing. My cell phone fell because the tree shook and the wild boars bit it," Aiden spilled his embarrassing experience.
Nico immediately bursted out laughing at that. "I'm sorry that I didn't come with you to hunt. If I had come along, I would've definitely photographed you when you were surrounded by those boars and hiding in the trees in fear,"
Aiden immediately looked at Nico sharply and coldly, making his nephew's hair stand on end. Nico could feel the chill piercing his bone and immediately stopped laughing.
"Uncle, I'm just kidding. Don't look at me like that. You're so scary," he immediately hid behind Tara.
Aiden immediately looked away, not paying attention to Nico anymore. His gaze was fixed on his wife. "I heard you were worried about me?"

Our MC's original world, Blue planet (similar to Earth), went through an apocalypse period for ten years and has been pulled through this universe by mysterious force as one of the human race worlds. Unfortunately, the human race is one of the weakest and most feeble races of all Gondola races. However, their sheer number and several allies have helped them escape extinction so far. Regrettably, even though there are many ants, given a sufficient amount of time, the elephant will eventually be able to destroy them all. After 50 years of pointless struggle, almost all of the last remaining humans have been hunted down by some of the strongest undead races of the Gondola, the Skeletons, the Vampires, the Werewolves, and the Demons. The few remaining humans have been found and eradicated. Our MC, Chen Murong, a member of the last humanity group, can escape the hunt from undead races for fifty years. He finally dies under the claw of Lucifer, one of the emperor-rank demons from the undead race. However, he activates one of his time magic spells with his most precious space gemstone at the moment of his last breath. Through the spell, he wakes up alive, back in his home world, and returns to the year before the apocalypse period began.

Shrike
He wants to play the latest and greatest VRMMORPG game, but he can't muster up the cash for the fancy new proprietary hardware and membership license. After months of saving up cash and arduous work, he has built a behemoth of a machine relying almost entirely on seedy old technology and a DIY guide by some dude named "Jimmy Bob." This is the story of his entry into the game. This is also a story of intrigue, exploration, introspection, batshit crazy game design, and unintended but entirely predictable consequences. This is G.C.O. Undergoing a total re-write, mostly because I think things were too rushed rather than any content or direction changes. If you are one of the few who tried Shrike when it was briefly updating, consider giving it another shot. Of no relation to either The Great Crusade or the recent (in 2017 lol) Shrike book for Warhammer by Games Workshop. All similarities in these cases are superficial; please don't sue me. Feedback welcome and encouraged, never be afraid to review or comment. HQ/Kindle-Grade cover art. Book Cover 2.0: "From the Dark"

Toothpick
“Hello! My humble audience! I, the Bard of the North, am going to tell you a tale. Nothing new, nothing old. A story of a hero, some may say, others a poor boy who was hated by the world.” The storyteller paused as he waited, right timing was everything when telling a story. Pacing… Too slow and the audience became bored then left without tossing even the smallest of coins. If he spoke too fast and rushed the story. It would leave the audience confused and having no reason to be impressed. So like any good storyteller, the Bard has to do a balancing act of sorts. Not too slow, not too fast. Just perfectly in the middle. “In a shattered country in the south, a novice princeling has the ambition to mend a torn tapestry that is his birthplace. Struggling to fend off those who would usurp the throne in an unending civil war spanning centuries. A mercenary that left only death in his wake, unable to stave off the monotony and peace of life. He looks back at the path laden with bodies, wondering if it was all worth it. Wandering souls summoned by a madman, travel away from a wasteland in a foreign land, the first alone, the others as companions. A deity, ancient in her years, waiting to be freed from a duty she no longer enjoys. For all these people and their stories, none are the hero of this tale. No, the hero is not grand, not wise, not ready.. he was punished for nothing of his doing, who was an outcast that was unloved by many, including his father.” This was always the big reveal novices use to jump off into their story. He did not start here, instead, like any good fishermen, he set the bait and waited until the fish bit before pulling. As he saw the audience's eyes focus, he then started the backstory. The harness, that stopped the listeners from having metaphorical whiplash. The foreshadowing. “But that is not where the story starts. No, not even the hero's birth. Where the story begins, is the boredom of the deity, a deity many know of. She who hunts for the impossible, the guide for those who have lost the path, the Huntress of Mallon--” A small pause, a short breath. “--All old names for a single powerful being that has roamed the grounds of this continent longer than any line of kings or queens, lords or ladies. A being of worship for many an individual…” One last breath. And he began singing the first verse.
