Hidden Marriage With My Imperfect CEO Chapter 39

The next morning…
Today, Aiden didn't go to the office. He decided to rest his eyes for a while. He felt that lately his eyes had become heavier and his vision was blurry, perhaps because he overworked himself. He finally decided to take a week off.
For the meantime, he could ask Nico to replace his job at the office and he would only monitor by telephone.
When he woke up from his sleep, he found Anya in his arms. His smile broke to see the woman was still fast asleep in his arms. He did not change his position at all and closed his eyes again, enjoying this morning with the woman in his arms.
Sometime after Aiden woke up, Anya also woke up. When she opened her eyes, she saw Aiden's face right in front of her. Luckily, she didn't scream because she was so shocked!
After she really woke up, she was stunned when she saw Aiden's face who was still sleeping. Even when sleeping, the man's face looked very handsome. Plus, his face didn't look as stiff and serious as when he woke up. At this moment his face looked calm and peaceful.
Actually, Aiden knew that Anya was looking at his face but he deliberately kept his eyes closed. The feeling of wanting to seduce that woman arose from his heart, so he deliberately moved his body suddenly. The sudden movement made Anya wake up from her reverie and immediately felt panicked. She was shocked, thinking that Aiden had awakened when Anya was watching the man's face.
After making sure Aiden didn't wake up, she tried to escape Aiden's embrace. Then, she immediately ran to the bathroom like a frightened rabbit.
Aiden opened his eyes and chuckled when he saw the woman trying to run silently, as if trying to escape from him.
'I'll never let you go…' He thought, smiling at the closed bathroom door.

…
Today, the four of them returned to breakfast. Hana was so excited for their breakfast together that she prepared too much food for them.
"Sir, Madame is really worried about you when you don't come home either. She waited for you until late that night." Hana complained in her motherly voice. She seemed to be reprimanding Aiden for making his wife worry.
"Mrs. Hana!" Anya slightly shook her head at Hana, as if asking her not to tell Aiden about it.
However, Hana ignored her and just laughed.
Hearing this, of course Aiden felt very happy, "Do you miss me?" He asked, raising his eyebrows and staring at Anya. He felt like teasing her somehow.
Anya almost choked at Aiden's words. She looked at Aiden with her mouth wide open, seeing that the man was smiling at her. Why was this man teasing her like that all of a sudden?
"No, no!" Anya said spontaneously. However, contrary to her answer, Anya's face turned red like a tomato. This made everyone, including the servants around them, laugh too. Aiden also smiled when he saw Anya's red face.
Their breakfast was accompanied by laughter and joy. Hana also shared her experience with Aiden and Harris when she went with Anya to plant flowers.
After breakfast, Anya hurried to help Hana to clean the table and cutlery. She deliberately avoided Aiden because she was embarrassed by the question earlier. She didn't know what to answer if that man teased her like that again!
Harris waited until everyone left their vicinity. Right now, there were only him and Aiden at the dining table, no one could hear their conversation.
"Sir, I have some important information I want to convey." He said to Aiden in a low voice, not wanting anyone else to hear.
Aiden immediately nodded when he heard this and invited Harris to discuss it in his office.

In the study, Aiden immediately sat in his usual chair. Harris stood in front of him, holding his note.
"Sir, the man who killed the doctor was caught." Harris said.
"Who is he?" Asked Aiden, his voice sounded so cold.
"He's just an ordinary person. The man wanted to take revenge because of personal problems. He killed the doctor because the doctor failed to operate on his son, leaving his only son dead." Harris reported him cautiously, keeping an eye on his master's expression.
Aiden was seen leaning back on the chair casually, but his eyes were sharp like knives, as if ready to stab anyone who intended to harm him. The atmosphere in the room was tense as they spoke.
"Nobody ordered him?" Asked Aiden.
"The man said that nobody ordered him. He confessed that he did it out of personal grudge and on his own initiative." Harris replied.
Aiden nodded when he heard Harris's answer, "What do you think?" he asked Harris. Harris was Aiden's confidant, so Aiden really appreciated his opinion.
"The person behind all these plans is very smart. He was deliberately looking for someone who did have a personal grudge against the doctor so that no one would know his purpose and his tracks would not be hidden." Harris replied, expressing his opinion to Aiden, "Sir, let me investigate a little deeper. I can find out who is the root of all this incident!"
"Hmm… Investigate it for a few weeks. We will determine the next steps later." Aiden replied, "Is there anything else?"
"Mrs. Imel is seen visiting a pharmacy that dispenses ointments for your eyes." Harris continued.
Hearing that name, Aiden immediately clicked his tongue. He looked annoyed when he heard the woman's name, "Why is that woman everywhere ..."
"If you are worried about your medicine, I will order it elsewhere." Harris said. After seeing Imel visit the pharmacy where Aiden's medicine was made, he had already looked into several other trusted pharmacies as substitutes. He had even investigated it to make sure it was safe for Aiden.
"Hmm… It's okay. Just take the medicine from the pharmacy. Compare it with my old medicine. I wonder what they'll give me." Aiden said coldly. Anger could be seen in his eyes, but the corners of his lips curled into a sinister smile.
Just because he was blind didn't mean he could be played with easily!
"Yes sir." Harris said. However, after saying that, he did not come out of the room. It seemed like he had something else to say but he had doubts.
"What is wrong? Just say it." Aiden said calmly.
Harris cleared his throat, wanting to hide his awkwardness from his master and rushed over to convey further information to Aiden. "Raka Mahendra will soon return to Indonesia."
Raka Mahendra…
That name made Aiden's body tense. His body leaning back on the chair casually straightened up. That name made his fists tightly clenched and his eyes looked very cold. Harris felt his body shudder as if the temperature in the room had dropped.
The man would come back. Raka Mahendra would be back.
Aiden waved his hand, telling Harris to leave the room. Seeing a signal from Aiden, Harris immediately bent down and left the place, leaving his boss alone.
Aiden closed his eyes and leaned back in his chair. His hand rubbed his face repeatedly as he thought about what Harris had said.
Raka Mahendra…
The man was Anya's ex-lover. The only man Anya had ever loved.
The Mahendra Family's First Son would return to Indonesia.
How would Anya react once she found out that Raka was coming back?

The Novel's Extra's Extra
As a reader, Cristopher always looked for things that entertained him, didn't matter what the "critics" said, all that matters was his own opinion on the novel, so he started reading "The Novel's Extra", a webnovel that despicts an author who is transmigrated to his own novel. It was fun and all with its own good and bad points, really, one of his favorites novels at the end of the journey, and that's taking into account the little fact that he didn't have too many things he was able to enjoy, not in that empty shell that was called life for him... Why could someone be born like that? With a void inside, an endless void that slowly consumes oneself... But... for better or worse... everything changed one day, the same day he woke up to discover he had the same faith of the author whose novel he just finished reading, becoming an extra in a novel, becoming The novel's extra's extra... /Ok, now that's the description I thought of... first of all, for those of you who are reading this, if any, a few points I have to make clear: 1. I'm not an english native speaker, so if you find anything wrong in the text, please let me know, that would help me learn, and I would be thankful for that.2. I'm writting this out of pure "enjoyment", so while I'll try to be constant, I'll not make any promises.3. True reason why I'm writing this is because I'm going through a moderate to crippling depression right now (and no, is not because anything trully bad and horrendous happened to me, it seems to have something to do with my brain's malfuctioning, among other things), and doctors told me to try writing as I enjoy reading. So yeah, this is more like a self-help excercise, to keep myself distracted while trying to be safe from my self.4. I choose to make a fanfiction of "The Novel's Extra" as I don't trully know how to write, and because I really loved that webnovel, though there are some points I didn't particulary liked.5. If you see some (let's be clear, really much) self insertion on this series, well, that may be me trying to escape reality, to which I make an early warning and disclaimer, and also ask for forgiveness, as I said before, this is more of an excercise, so don't take it too serious.6. I'll be a slow writer, as I have to still check a few things from the novel, even when I've read it like 3 or 4 times already, and because I know shit about writing a novel or a series.7. If you get to enjoy this, then that's good, I would be glad about it, maybe even more motivated, but I don't really expect this to be any good. Thanks to you all who may, or may not, be reading this novel./
