Hidden Marriage With My Imperfect CEO Chapter 34

"I'll go first." Said Aiden.
The man was wearing a neat suit and carrying a large bag of clothes for the overnight stay. Today, he was wearing a dark blue suit, paired with a black shirt and shoes. He was going out of town with Nico and Harris on work and would be gone for three days. That meant Anya would stay at home alone for three days.
Anya just nodded and waved at Aiden and Harris. She felt a little happy that she finally had time to himself, but of course she didn't dare show it in front of Aiden. She acted neutral but her heart was actually very happy.
From today and for the next three days, she could do whatever she wanted! She could be free!
After Aiden left, she spent her time in the greenhouse. There she relaxed, read books and observed the various plants. While she was in the greenhouse, she remembered her mother's flower garden. It had been a long time since she visited the flower garden. Maybe a lot of weeds had filled the garden.
Tomorrow she would try to ask permission from Aiden to go to her flower garden. She could clean the garden and buy some flower seeds to plant.
It didn't feel like the sun had started to set. The sky was slowly being covered by clouds. Anya immediately returned to the house. As she walked towards the house, she smelled the aroma of cooking which made her stomach rattle. Hana was in the kitchen preparing dinner so Anya rushed over to help her.
Dinner was served on the dining table in no time. Today, only she and Hana would eat together.
She was glad that Hana was in this house. If it weren't for her, she would've eaten her dinner alone at this large table. She would definitely feel very lonely!

After dinner, they continued to chat in the family room until Anya started yawning. Taking a walk in the greenhouse earlier had made her quite tired.
Seeing Anya yawn, Hana also yawned, "It's late, get some rest!" She said.
"Yes, Ma'am. I'll go to the room first. Good evening." Anya replied.
She quickly went into her bedtime routine and lay down by her bed. Without realizing it, her hand touched the side of the bed that Aiden used to occupy. The bed was cold. There was a strange feeling creeping into her heart when she realized that no one was lying by her side.
This bed felt very big for her alone. In the past, the bed didn't even make up half of this bed.
She closed her eyes while her hands trailed Aiden's empty side of the bed. She fell asleep after a while.
…
The next morning, after breakfast, Anya tried to contact Aiden. She wanted to ask permission from Aiden to go to her flower garden.
It didn't take long for Aiden to answer the call.
"Hmm." He muttered.
"Have you had breakfast?" Asked Anya with a small talk.
"Yes. What's the sudden call?" Anya rarely called him. Maybe he could count on the fingers how many times Anya called him after they got married. He knew that when Anya called him, it meant that she was in need of something or wanted to ask his permission.
"Can I visit my mother's flower garden? The park has not been taken care of for a long time." Anya asked.
Of course, Aiden knew about Anya's mother's flower garden. When he was looking for information about Anya, information about the land was also included. He also knew that Deny had tried to ask Anya for the land a while ago.

"Hmm… Go. Tell Abdi to take you and take a few servants with you." Aiden said. Anya felt very happy to hear Aiden's answer. She'd got permission to leave!
"Thank you!" Anya answered to Aiden. She couldn't hide the excitement in her voice, so even Aiden on the other end of the line heard her.
Aiden smiled faintly when he heard the voice. He could imagine a large smile spreading across Anya's face, making her dimples show. Her eyes would sparkle with excitement and she would probably jump up and down with excitement.
Nico saw the change in Aiden's expression of Aiden from his side. His uncle had just picked up a call from someone, but it was clear that that person was his aunt. Only his aunt could make his uncle such a slave to love like this!
He immediately cleared his throat loudly, trying to get his uncle's attention, "Uncle, did aunt call you?" He asked an obvious question, but he would not miss this opportunity to tease his uncle.
"Hmm…" Aiden ignored Nico's question and answered him in an indistinct mutter.
"No wonder uncle's voice sounded so soft. If only I had called, uncle would have hung up before I finished talking." Nico protested, sulking.
Aiden rolled his eyes at Nico's words. He didn't understand how his nephew was so talkative like this. As soon as he spoke, Nico seemed to have no brakes and couldn't stop his mouth. Personality wise, he and his nephew were the complete opposite.
Seeing that his uncle did not respond to his teasing at all, he immediately changed the subject,
"Uncle, I heard you have a plot of land used for a flower garden."
Aiden turned his head when he heard Nico's question, "How do you know that?"
"I have many ways to find out." Replied the young man, grinning widely. It was obvious that he did since he was also a member of the Atmajaya Family! He had many people he could order to gather various information.
Actually, there was a question that stuck in his heart when he found out the information about Anya's land, "Uncle… Uncle didn't marry her because of that land, right? Did you really marry because you loved her, or because you wanted the land?" Nico asked, looking at Aiden curiously.
"I didn't marry Anya because of that land. The land is hers." Aiden replied.
Nico nodded his head when he heard Aiden's answer, but there was a feeling of unwillingness in his heart to find out that this strategic land was being used to plant flowers, even though the land did not belong to him at all.
However, his uncle and aunt were married. So, whatever belonged to his aunt also belonged to his uncle! It'd be the same with the land. The land could now be considered his uncle's property.
"Too bad the land is used for growing flowers. It was a waste. Did she not want to just give it to you, uncle? If the land is used for business…" Nico complained at length. Even though he was young, he was used to helping Aiden in handling the company so that his business spirit naturally emerged.
"I have other plans for the land!" Aiden said, making Nico stop babbling.

Fallout: Vault X
An original novel set in the Fallout universe, written to be accessible to all, featuring unique people and places. Vol.II. out now Fallout: Vault X tells the story of John. A vault dweller, who spent every day of his twenty five years underground. Like his father, and his father before him. Proud to live in the last remaining bastion of humanity, all that survived The Great War of the atomic age. Hidden deep below the surface of the earth, toiling under brutal conditions. Year after year, decade upon decade. All to expand into the natural cave system the Vault occupied, building for the future. However, John knew what his forefathers did not, that everything he’d been taught was a lie. After finishing school at the age of ten, John received his standard issue pipboy. An arm mounted personal computer, worn by everyone in the Vault. Used to coordinate the relentless pace of expansion, needed to work as an apprentice. To learn the craft that would be his life’s work. A noble calling to ensure a future for all that remained of the human race. A quirk of fate saw John equipped not with the crude, clunky, pipboy model his father wore. That almost everyone around him wore. His looked smaller, sleeker, finished in a jet black sheen. And capable of doing far more than its drab counterparts. The world above had been ravaged by atomic flames, yet life clung to its bones. The Red Valley fared better than most in the century since the bombs fell. The clean water and rich soil protected by rolling hills. All spared from direct strikes, for the most part. Life survived here. Trees spawned from charred ground, misshapen, green leaves turned red. Along with simple crops, grown wild at first, then cultivated by the survivors. The scavengers of the old world were inventive, hardy people. All determined to rebuild in the ruins of a world they never knew. In the decades that passed settlements emerged. They grew, spreading along the valley floor. Reclaiming the pre-war remnants of the once industrialised heartland. Salvaging the robotic wonders of a bygone age to build their walls and work their fields. To protect them in the dark of the wasteland. But such things are uncommon in this world, and the rarer something is, the greater its value. And the worth of pre-war technology had not gone unnoticed. The last, real, power in this world rested in the mechanised hands of The Brotherhood of Steel. Forged from the mortally wounded old world military. The Brotherhood used its access to the weapons made for a conflict no one won to strike out into the wastes. Men and women were equipped with advanced armour, aerial transportation, high grade weaponry. Accompanied by the training, strength, and will, to put them to use. They established chapters and set up outputs far and wide. All dedicated to a single purpose. To ensure the technology left abandoned by its long dead creators didn’t fall into the wrong hands. Namely, any hands that were not their own. This is the world John escaped into. A place of horrors brought forth from atomic fire. A place where survival meant battling against the darkness. Fighting a war each day to get to the next. And war...war never changes
