Chapter 23. I Only Love You

Anya could feel her cheek throb due to Deny's hard slap. Her eyes turned red from trying to hold back tears. She couldn't cry, she couldn't look weak! ​​

Seeing all the events in front of him, Abdi could not stay still. He could not see Anya being humiliated and even slapped in public while he could only stand still, waiting for Aiden to come.

When Abdi was about to approach Anya and help her, the cafe door suddenly opened.

Aiden stepped in, followed by Harris and a few bodyguards behind him. They all wore formal attire, making everyone around them intimidated by their arrival.

Abdi was very happy to see his master come. It felt like he could exhale a sigh of relief after seeing his master's arrival. Everything would be fine as long as the master came.

Aiden could see all the emotions mixed up on Anya's face. Anger, sadness, heartache… "Anya." His deep voice sounded, waking Anya from her sadness.

When that voice was heard, everyone in the room turned and watched the owner of the voice.

Deny looked very happy when he saw Aiden's arrival, his face immediately lit up.

"Aiden, nice to see you again!" Said Deny, welcoming Aiden happily.

Aiden's eyes were covered by his sunglasses, but everyone could see that the man did not care about Deny's existence at all. Behind his glasses, Aiden only noticed one person—Anya.

He extended his hand towards Anya without saying a word. Anya understood why he'd come here. She knew that Aiden had come to help her. The man asked her to come near him.

Anya stared at the man, feeling as if Aiden was like an angel sent for her whenever she got into trouble. Without hesitation, she immediately walked towards Aiden and put her hand on top of his helping's hand.

Aiden used his other hand to hold Anya's chin, tilted her face and stared at the side of her face that was flushed from Deny's slap.

"Why is your face red?" Aiden asked coldly.

The question gave everyone chills, especially Deny who had slapped Anya. His body trembled slightly and the hair on his neck stood up. His mouth was tightly closed, not daring to say a single word.

Anya could see her father was scared. She also didn't want Aiden to do anything to his father. She held her flushed face as if she wanted to hide it from Aiden, "Ah, I just feel a little hot."

Aiden's eyebrows raised when he heard Anya's answer, "What happened to your clothes?"

After hearing the question, Anya realized, 'How did Aiden find out? Isn't he blind?'

Could Aiden see again? Or did Harris tell him? Maybe he could smell the coffee scent on her clothes.

Anya shook her head, trying to get rid of the ridiculous idea in her mind, "I accidentally spilled coffee on my clothes." She replied with an embarrassed grimace, "Sorry, I stained the clothes you gave me."

Aiden's gaze softened when he heard Anya's words. This woman was still thinking about her feelings for having tainted his gifts rather than thinking about her own feelings.

"Who dared to treat you like this? Doesn't that person know that you are my lover?" Asked Aiden coldly. Unlike his voice which could make people shudder, his hands seemed to touch Anya very gently.

Hearing that question, Anya got an idea. She loved her father so she didn't want her father to get into trouble with Aiden. However, that didn't mean she would forgive Natali. She wanted Natali to reap her actions. She planned to complain and tell all Natali's actions to Aiden.

"Natali accused me of seducing you." Said Anya, wearing a pathetic expression.

Secretly, Aiden smiled faintly. He did not expect Anya to report Natali's actions to him directly. He thought, being too kindhearted, Anya would prevent him from causing a scene. But as it turned out, his wife was a smart person. She wanted Natali to feel what she felt.

"Natali and I were arranged because of corporate matters. I am willing to cancel the engagement and forget that cooperation for you. I just love you…" Said Aiden while staring at Anya. He had removed his glasses so that Anya could see the softness in his eyes and the tenderness in his gaze that seemed to make her drown.

'Love? Was Aiden just pretending?'

'Was this his plan? Did he want to make Natali jealous?'

Aiden didn't notice that Anya was thinking about his gentle gaze. He called Harris, making his assistant immediately hand over a pocket bag to him. Then, Aiden gave the bag to Anya, "Change your clothes with this. You must be uncomfortable wearing those clothes."

Indeed, her clothes felt sticky on her body and made her uncomfortable, but Anya was hesitant to leave Aiden with her father and Natali. She didn't care what happened to Natali, but her father could get into trouble too.

However, in the end she decided to obey Aiden. She knew Aiden would help her and she had complete trust in him.

Natali looked left and right, looking for a way out so she could escape. But Harris and Aiden's bodyguards had covered all the roads, leaving her nowhere to run.

Aiden didn't say anything, but his eyes were getting cold. The anger he felt in his heart increased even more when he heard Deny's words. Harris, who could feel his boss's mood, immediately spoke up, "Mr. Deny, you seem to have misunderstood something."

Deny immediately stopped talking even though his mouth was still open. He was surprised because Harris suddenly interrupted his words and said that he had misunderstood. He did not understand what had happened.

Aiden turned his gaze towards Natali, making Natali gasped. Aiden looked like a normal, sighted person, scaring Natali for a moment.

"Natali Tedjasukmana, if you don't want to be arranged with me, you can tell me directly. There's no need to send a woman to my room and accuse me of cheating on us before we even get married. How dare you..." Like his cold eyes, Aiden's voice was also very cold, piercing Natali's being directly, "After all, I also do not love you." He continued.

Natali was speechless when she was called out by Aiden. Without realizing it, she immediately hid behind her father's body, as if trying to avoid Aiden.
