Chapter 34: The Hard-Working Princess Wei
Translator: editor3
At night, in the king’s bedroom.
“Is Wei not back yet?”
The king and the queen were playing chess.
Compared to before the Lord’s Rebellion, the king looked much older. The aftereffects of the poisoning were gradually starting to reveal themselves.
“If she is determined to stay in the library, no matter how hard I try to persuade her, it will be useless. I haven’t seen her for a long time. I don’t know what has gotten into her.” Queen Lina sighed and said. Compared to her daughter’s rebellious behavior, the prince had become much more sensible. He already had the demeanor of a king.
“This girl, forget it. Just let her be.” The king shook his head and smiled.
“Your Majesty, she is a girl. She will eventually get married. If we allow her to act like this, what will happen in the future?”
The queen said, “Moreover, it is not a good thing to always stay with that student from Hiro Academy.”
“If I have time, I’ll go over and take a look,” the king said after a moment of contemplation.
It had been a long time since he had gone to the library to read.
“Your Majesty, you must persuade this girl to come back.”
“I’ll try.” The king nodded.
He doted on this daughter of his and had almost never been fierce.
…
In front of the library, the sun was shining brightly.
Two people were sitting on chairs, each holding a book and reading.
“Your Highness, how can you learn from me?”
Lei Luo glanced at Wei beside him and couldn’t help but ask.
“Senior, I think your reading posture is relaxing. Learning today is really a kind of enjoyment.”

Wei said seriously, “Usually when I see a book, I just glance at it, but today I’m actually reading it. Don’t you think it’s strange?”
“Is that so?”
Lei Luo did not know what to say.
“It’s true.”
Wei nodded.
At this time, a few white horses stopped at the entrance of the library. There were only a few old mages accompanying them, but the person who had come was the king. He had come to see his daughter.
On the white horses, the king suddenly saw a very special scene. He saw two chairs and two people at the entrance of the library, reading books. The brilliant sunlight penetrated through the leaves and scattered on the two people’s bodies as if forming a wonderful artistic conception.
“Father.”
It was not until the clear voice was heard that the king was awakened from his reverie.
“Wei, are you reading with senior Lei Luo?”
The king got off the horse and walked over with a smile.
“Your Majesty.” Lei Luo got up and bowed.
“Father, why are you here?”
Wei hugged the king with both hands, looking very happy.
“I’m here to see you, to see how you are doing.”
The king rubbed Wei’s head lovingly and smiled.
“I’m doing very well, father. You don’t have to worry.” Wei laughed.
“You really make me worry,” the king said.
The king did not stay in the library for too long, nor did he read books. After talking for a while, he left.
During this period of time, he was extremely busy with government affairs. After the Lord’s rebellion, there were too many things waiting for him to deal with, but the effects of the poison had caused his energy to be greatly reduced.

The king still remembered what the mysterious pseudo-ultimate mage who had saved him had said.
“Although I have already expelled the poison from you, it has damaged your nerves and internal organs. You must recuperate carefully. Otherwise, it will be very difficult for you to live past five years.”
In other words, even if he recuperated carefully, he would at most live for five years.
He did not have much time left.
The prince was still young, so he had to clear all obstacles for the prince to become the king in the limited time he had.
Fortunately, because of the deterrence of the invincible pseudo-ultimate mage, the five transcending powers no longer dared to challenge the kingdom’s prestige.
The five great lords’ influence had also been swept clean. The current situation in the Faroe Kingdom was basically stable. In addition, the king had issued many excellent policies, allowing the people to gradually become rich. It was believed that it would not be long before the Faroe Kingdom would rise again.
…
Time flew by quickly.
In the blink of an eye, four years had passed.
It was already fifteen years since the King had ascended the throne.
Lei Luo had been in Hiro Academy for a full twenty-four years and stayed in the library for eighteen years.
He was now thirty-four years old, but his face was still young and very handsome.
In these past four years, his cultivation had risen to a sixth-level ultimate mage.
Even if he had sufficient cultivation resources, the cultivation of an ultimate mage was becoming more and more difficult.
But he did not care. He had plenty of time.
To practice magic was to enjoy life.
But with the addition of Princess Wei, the library was much livelier. It was not as quiet as usual.
This girl was really persistent. She had stayed in the library for a full four years.
In the blink of an eye, she was already a sixteen-year-old girl.
She usually practiced very hard. In just four short years, she had broken through four ranks in a row and reached level-9 mage.
In other words, she was only one step away from becoming an elemental mage.
The reason Wei had improved so quickly was not only because of her hard work, but also because of Lei Luo.
As long as she was by Lei Luo’s side, Wei would be particularly motivated. It felt like she was by the side of someone she liked, trying to prove herself.

When Plush comes to Shove
An: So the last synopsis wasn’t really all that good, it was just some mumbo jumbo with no actual point to it so I decided to make a new one that’s a bit more accurate. Leo Lush, just your average everyday (slightly chubby) schmuck, or at least he would be if he didn’t carry around a stuffed toy everywhere he went.I mean, he was a man who could read the atmosphere a bit so put it away in his bag whenever having a stuffed toy out would be rude but other than that he brought it with him all the time, it was a memento from his girlfriend who had died three years ago and keeping it close made him feel better. That’s also why his classmates gave him the nickname “Plush”, though that's neither here nor there. One day at the train station he’d lost his dearest stuffed toy, one of his classmates found it and lobbed it towards him, something that they’d already done many times before, but this time something went wrong and Leo found himself falling in front of the train due to the force of the throw. Now follow Leo as the spirit that developed in his stuffed toy and killed him forces his ghost into another world to possess a different stuffed toy. He doesn’t know much about the world or why he’s there but what he does know is that according to a magic book his girlfriend was also sent to this very world when she died in a plane accident three years ago. An: For those who want to know a bit more about what kind of story this will be: I want it to be a chill feel-good story and stay as far away from those despair-fest stories as possible (No offense to people who enjoy them, I’m just not one of you)Let me make something clear; I’m not writing this story with hope of it becoming really top tier among RRL (Though it did get above rank 500 once which I’m still very proud of even though it’s gone back down to ~850 at the time of writing this) I just want to write a story that I would enjoy reading, that’s why I’ll be mostly skipping over a lot of the parts that I skip when I read other stories, such as stats, the exact value of money and other such precise statistics that no one(as far as I’m aware) really cares about all that much. Just feels like a lot of effort for something superfluous. There’s a single exception and that’s one of the battles, it’s not a despair-fest or anything but it’s got a different feel than the rest of the story due to me being in a funky mood while I was writing it.

School-life & Swordfights: A Clubs and Stubs Tale
Warning: Clubs and Stubs contains strong language and situations throughout that may not be suitable for younger readers. "This story takes place in a fantasy world with a modernish setting. It mainly follows four students of Hardires High School who are members of one of the greatest Team Arena Squads in the history of gladiatorial school athletics. Already two-time high-school world champions, they have entered their fourth and final year of high school in hopes of capturing a third straight world championship—something that no other school on the continent has accomplished. As they prepare for an upcoming match with a rival school, it becomes evident that keeping their two-and-a-half-year winning streak alive will be tougher than expected. As both personal and external problems abound for the student-gladiators, can they manage to keep it together under the constant pressure of being the perfect fighting unit? A blend of action, drama, adventure, and humor collide in this brand-new series!" Thanks so much for checking out my story! This is the first time that I've released any of my work to a public space so any feedback, be it positive or negative (but please be respectful if so) would be greatly appreciated. I'm hoping that this story is only the beginning of a long-running series of short stories set in the Clubs and Stubs universe. Temporary Book Cover Design by David Watson The release schedule is rather tentative, but the goal is to release a chapter every 2-4 days. I want to make sure that every scene is the best it can be before it’s released, so it may take a bit longer especially if it's a longer chapter. However, no chapter should take more than a week to be released. Each scene varies in length, but are usually between 1,000 to 2,000 words.

A Portal Fantasy Comedy Poem
Mix an adolescent shepherd boy in love with a girl who wants to meet existentialists, a Viscount in need of an adventure, and a bland psychic. Add in a flippant god. Put them in a land made up of the after-lives of various different cultures. Stir gently. Sprinkle in some random Midgard Serpent, Genghis Khan, Scheherazade, and a cussing mocking bird. Fry lightly. Season to taste and serve with desired garnishes. Bon apetit! A comic fantasy poetic epic, filled with misfits, slapstick routines, light romance, people shouting out the names of their battle skills before using them, old philosopher dudes running around naked, a very serious lamb, demonic knitting, battery operated magic swords and even more traumatising stuff! I experimented with different styles in the beginning and finally settled on an ABABBCBC rhyme scheme (Give me your 0.5s. Gimme, gimme, gimme. I'm collecting them, seriously)

This fiction is on Indefinite Hiatus, because I feel like the quality is dropping and I need some time to try other ideas and get inspiration. Follow the story of Jacob as he plays the first ever Virtual Reality Massively Multiplayer Online RPG (VRMMORPG) Asunder Online. This will be a bit slow paced at first, but will pick up later on. Now with TABLES! Warning: This series is tagged as Mature because it contains crude language. When the battle scenes start later on, expect some gore too. Note: This is my first written work.
