Chapter 2953: Green-Eyed Black Hawk
Translator: EndlessFantasy Translation Editor: EndlessFantasy Translation
After Huang Jia Long greeted Duan Ling Tian outside of the northern gates of the Supporting Fall Nation’s capital, he led Duan Ling Tian and Liu Guang Lin toward three people standing in the distance. “Brother Duan, let me bring you to my father!”
Duan Ling Tian had seen one of the three men before. The man was none other than Huang Yuan Fei, the City Governor of Passage City. He had never seen the other two men before. One of them was a gray-haired old man who was dressed in a long black robe. He was so thin that his face looked skeletal. He emitted a cold and eerie air about him. The other man was a middle-aged man with a square face who was tall and muscular. His hair was cropped short, and his eyebrows made him look as fierce as a tiger. He carried a dignified air about him. The middle-aged man who seemed as sturdy as a mountain was the complete opposite of the old man.
Huang Jia Long gestured to Duan Ling Tian to come forward before he said, “Father, this is Brother Duan. You’ve met him before.”
Huang Yuan Fei had been watching Duan Ling Tian as soon as Duan Ling Tian had appeared.
“Master Duan, we meet again.” Huang Yuan Fei greeted Duan Ling Tian with a smile on his face. He did not put on air even though he was the City Governor of Passage City and a senior to Duan Ling Tian. His behavior put Duan Ling Tian at ease.
“City Governor Huang, Jia Long and I are friends. You can just call me Ling Tian,” Duan Ling Tian replied with a smile.
Huang Yuan Fei laughed good-naturedly before he said, “Alright! Why don’t I address you as Little Tian instead? It feels more intimate this way. Moreover, with your age, it’s quite an appropriate form of address.”
Then, Huang Yuan Fei proceeded to introduce the two men to Duan Ling Tian. “Little Tian, this is Old Mo, my godfather. He’s also my father’s sworn brother. This man, on the other hand, is my brother, Bai Gang. You can call him Uncle Bai.”

When the two men shifted their gaze to Duan Ling Tian, Duan Ling Tian felt slightly discomfited as though something was amiss. It felt as though they could see through his thoughts. Nevertheless, he greeted with a smile on his face. “Greetings, Old Mo, Uncle Bai.”
“Not bad… No wonder Jia Long admires you… A Heaven Stage Overarching Heavenly Supreme Celestial younger than 100 years old who’s stronger than him! How impressive!” Bai Gang said with a grin. He seemed like a cheerful and friendly person.
On the contrary, the old man only nodded slightly in response before he shifted his gaze away. From the beginning until the end, his gaze remained as calm as a pool of stagnant water.
“Ling Tian my lad, Old Mo is really boring. Just ignore him!” Bai Gang said with a laugh, clearly trying to diffuse the awkward situation.
At this moment, Huang Yuan Fei looked at the old man and said, “Old Mo, since everyone is here, let’s go.”
The old man nodded before he moved at the speed of lightning. Celestial Origin Energy that was as dark as ink surged out his body into the surroundings.
Boom!
A thunderous explosion rang in the air before the black energy dispersed, revealing a giant flying beast. The beast was a black hawk the size of a hill. Its black feather glinted in the sun; it looked really tough as though it was made of metal. Its claws at the end of its feet look deadly as it hovered in the air in front of them; they seemed as deadly as any Celestial Weapons.
‘C-celestial Beast? He’s a Celestial Beast with a human form?’ Duan Ling Tian was taken aback. No wonder he felt strange earlier.
Meanwhile, Liu Guang Lin cried out after he regained his senses, “An elementary King Grade Celestial Beast, the Green-Eyed Black Hawk!”
Old Mo who had reverted to his original form turned to look at Liu Guang Lin with his green eyes. “You recognize my original form… Not bad, you’re quite knowledgeable.”
‘An elementary King Grade Celestial Beast?’ This was Duan Ling Tian’s first time hearing about the Green-Eyed Black Hawk. However, he had learned about elementary King Grade Celestial Beasts from a few Memory Celestial Talismans.

An elementary King Grade Celestial Beasts would become a One Basic Celestial King after maturity. Some of them might even become Two Forms or Three Talents Celestial Kings if their innate talents were extraordinary. They might be able to further improve their cultivation bases if they had fortuitous encounters. Otherwise, their cultivation bases would stagnate at the level of a Three Talents Celestial King.
After experiencing the power granted by the consumable Royal Grade Celestial Weapon, Duan Ling Tian had grown rather adept in discerning Celestial Kings through their auras. ‘Old Mo must be a One Basic Celestial King.’
‘What a surprise… City Governor Huang is not the strongest person in Passage City; it’s this old man!’ Duan Ling Tian was rather taken aback by this revelation.
“Little Tian, we’ll ride on Old Mo’s back. He’ll take us to the Solitary Nation’s capital,” Huang Yuan Fei said after he flew onto the black hawk’s back.
Everyone took their turns and flew onto the black hawk’s back as well.
At this moment, Huang Jia Long who was beside Duan Ling Tian said, “Brother Duan, with Old Mo’s speed, we’ll arrive in the capital of the Solitary Nation within ten days.”
“Ten days? The distance between the capital of the Supporting Fall Nation and the capital of the Solitary Nation is rather wide.” Duan Ling Tian was startled when he heard Huang Jia Long’s words.
Although ten days was not long, flying Celestial Beasts were known for their speed. An elementary King Grade Celestial Beast, a One Basic Celestial King, was flying them there, but it would still take ten days?
“Well, it is quite a distance away. We’re traveling to another nation after all,” Huang Jia Long replied with a smile.
As soon as Duan Ling Tian, Huang Jia Long, Liu Guang Lin, Huang Yuan Fei, and Bai Gang were on Old Mo’s back, he spread his gigantic wings and shot out like an arrow. A translucent black light shrouded the group of people and acted as a barrier, protecting them from the wind that grew increasingly violent as Old Mo increased his speed.
“What an incredible speed!” Duan Ling Tian could not see his surroundings at all as the flying Celestial Beast moved at top speed.
“Jia Long, is Uncle Bai also a Celestial Beast?” Duan Ling Tian sent a Voice Transmission to Huang Jia Long.
“Hm? How did you know?” Huang Jia Long was taken back when he heard Duan Ling Tian’s Voice Transmission. He did not expect Duan Ling Tian to guess this even though it was no longer a secret that Old Mo was a Celestial Beast.
“So it’s true?” Duan Ling Tian was stunned and baffled at the same time. How did he manage to sense the abnormalities in the auras of the two Celestial Beasts when they were in human forms? In the Devata Realms, only a person with a higher cultivation base than the Celestial Beasts would be able to sense a Celestial Beast in human form.
“Yes, Brother Duan. How did you know?” Huang Jia Long asked curiously. He looked at Duan Ling Tian, eagerly anticipating Duan Ling Tian’s answer. Alas, Duan Ling Tian’s answer only rendered him speechless.
“It’s just instinct…” Duan Ling Tian was not wrong. When he had first sensed Bai Gang and Old Mo’s auras, he did not know much. He only knew there was something different about them.
All of sudden, the Profound Divine Metal’s voice rang in Duan Ling Tian’s mind. “Lad, it’s not your instinct. My aura has affected your soul and made you more sensitive.”
Duan Ling Tian asked, shocked, “You… Aren’t you in deep slumber? Why are you awake?”
“It’s all thanks to this little black hawk. Its aura had woken me up. I was afraid it might eat you. However, it seems like it’s a friend, not a foe. I was worried for nothing,” the Profound Divine Metal said.
