Upon hearing Duan Ling Tian’s words that confirmed her thoughts, Gan Ru Yan’s eyes turned dull instantly. Initially, she had planned to explain herself, but at this moment, she did not think it mattered. After all, in his eyes, she was nothing compared to her sister, Ke’er. You might want to enter the Beyond Heaven Secret Zone, but you wouldn’t have been able to enter without her. Therefore, this is her fault!” He thought Ke’er was only trying to protect Gan Ru Yan.

At this moment, Feng Tian Wu who was standing next to Ke’er said, “Brother Duan, you’ve misunderstood Sister Ru Yan…” She was also stunned by Duan Ling Tian’s earlier reaction.

“Hm?” Upon hearing Feng Tian Wu’s words, Duan Ling Tian realized that he might have jumped to conclusion too quickly due to his concern for Ke’er.

“It’s indeed a misunderstanding,” Mu Yi Yi chimed in at this moment to defend Gan Ru Yan, surprising Duan Ling Tian.

Duan Ling Tian trembled when he heard this voice. After all, he was no stranger to this voice. Although it had been years since he had seen the owner of the voice, he would never forget the owner of the voice. He did not have many friends in his life, therefore, he truly cherished the few friends that he had. No matter how long they had been apart, he would always remember their faces and their voices.

“Su Li?” Duan Ling Tian exclaimed in shock. Su Li was someone he had known in his younger days on the Mortal Continent.

Ke’er chose not to speak at this moment.

A young man emerged from the fog. He was dressed in a blood-stained robe. The stench of blood was still fresh. He held a sword in his hand. With just a glance, Duan Ling Tian could tell the sword was extraordinary. It was most likely a Celestial Sword.

Duan Ling Tian flew out immediately to Su Li. He stared at Su Li unblinkingly as though he was afraid Su Li would disappear. He laughed before he said, “Su Li! How did you come in here?”

“It’s a coincidence, I was about to…” Su Li said with a smile.

However, before Su Li could finish speaking, a cold female voice interrupted him. The voice was overbearing when she said, “Su Li, follow me to greet the ancestor!”

The smile on Su Li’s face froze immediately when he heard the female voice. He turned to look at a beautiful figure standing nearby and said apologetically, “Miss, it’s been a long time since I saw my friend. May I speak to him for a little while?”

“Miss?” Duan Ling Tian’s expression had already darkened when he heard the overbearing way that woman had spoken to Su Li. However, he was shocked when he heard Su Li’s words. Did Su Li address her as miss just like a servant would?

Duan Ling Tian stared at the lady intently. She was dressed in white and looked young. She was as beautiful as his wife, Ke’er, and his girlfriend, Feng Tian Wu. She emitted an icy aura that made her seem unapproachable.

Upon hearing Su Li’s words, the white-clad lady glanced at Su Li indifferently and said in a cold voice, “Don’t forget you’re my sword slave…”

Upon hearing these words, Su Li’s eyes dimmed. He nodded obediently and said, “Understood.” Then, he turned to Duan Ling Tian and said apologetically, “Duan Ling Tian, we’ll catch up later. I have to follow my miss to greet the seniors of Yellow Thearch Mansion.”

Su Li intended to leave as soon as he finished speaking, but Duan Ling Tian stopped him immediately. A frown appeared on his face as he asked, “What’s going on, Su Li? How did you become this woman’s sword slave? Did she force you? Don’t worry, with me around, you can just ignore her. If she tries anything, I won’t let her go.”

Duan Ling Tian did not expect that after he reunited with his friend after so many years, his friend would have lost his freedom and became someone else’s servant. How could he accept this? How could he bear to watch his friend being so subservient to another person?

“Duan Ling Tian?” The white-clad lady said. She looked at him for a moment before turning away. She scoffed before she disappeared in a flash and appeared in front of an inconspicuous-looking old man who was dressed in grey robes with many patches on it. Although his robes had many patches, he looked very clean.

Upon seeing this, Su Li said hurriedly, “Duan Ling Tian, I’ll head over there first and explain everything to you later.” He paused for a moment before he looked at Ke’er and the others and said, “Otherwise, you can ask them as well.”

Duan Ling Tian glanced at the grey-clad old man in the distance before turning back to Ke’er and Feng Tian Wu. “Ke’er, Tian Wu, what happened to Su Li?”
