Murim Recurve Chapter 297

"Thank you, dad." Re'Kha smiled, wielding the weapons to see that they were of superior quality. They seemed to have been custom ordered to retain the level of quality.
"Take this!" Finally, Re'Rak pulled out a bracelet from the trunk and slipped it on her left hand, "A must need for a Harmoniser since your previous one was destroyed."
Upon seeing the bracelet, Re'Kha smiled in nostalgia. It wasn't anything special, made from a material possessing great affinity to Water Qi and Harmonisers from their Clan, a Balou's horn. And, embedded on it was a tiny Water Qi Essence fragment, a fragment big enough to continuously emit Water Qi for a couple of days before it was completely expended.
She had been carrying a similar one before when she went to hunt the Blinded Ghost. It was what allowed her to replenish her expended Water Qi reserves. And at times, she used it to set up a domain around her that would continue to damage the Blinded Ghost.
Adding onto the Magic Artifact, Humming Waves she wielded, she managed to injure the Blinded Ghost on numerous occasions. Even though she had some Water Qi Essences in her storage ring, she couldn't use them carelessly.
And in such cases, this bracelet would prove useful for her. Moreover, while keeping it activated, she could wield her Quasi-Magic Artifact, Water Wave almost like a Magic Artifact. So, it had incredible benefits.
"Call Re'Gra and Re'Dha, I haven't given them anything to protect themselves." Re'Rak sighed as he rummaged through the trunk, "They haven't left the Clan much, so they are inexperienced. Take care of them out there."
"No worries, dad." Re'Kha smiled as she left the room, calling her two brothers and informed them to head to their father's room. She returned to her house and instructed the servant Rim to prepare all her needs and necessities for the journey.

As the weight of her luggage couldn't be too much, she had to balance it accordingly. After all, the latter half of her journey had to be done on foot and was uphill. So, the weight of the bag had to be as minimum as possible.
'The water and food might prove to be a bit of a problem. As for hygiene, the Water Qi emitted by my armour will keep my body clean to a certain extent. So, that should be enough for the most part.' She thought, preparing some extra goods that she placed in her storage ring. She only planned to take them out when absolutely necessary, considering the entire mission as another training of sorts.
Only then would she be able to manage her resources and complete the journey without her and her brothers falling sick. She then emptied her bowels and took a relaxing bath, donning on her armour, Rigid Water. It too was a Quasi-Magic Artifact. After eating a simple breakfast, she exited her house, noticing her siblings too exit their houses one after another.
Led by Re'Rak and Re'Bah, they left the house as a family and boarded two carriages. Once they reached the southern city gate, they boarded the horses already arranged by the clan and sped off in their respective directions.
Re'Tul looked at their figures as she snorted and went in her respective direction, riding her horse alone. The others from the Clan too made their way. Soon after, the Burkurel Re Clan looked almost deserted.
There were still the servants though that went about their respective tasks. So, it wasn't completely deserted yet. The head Elder stood on the city walls facing the south, watching the figures of his Clansmen leave the Clan, sighing, "I hope all of them return in one piece. With the land becoming the home of Kalki more and more, the number of supernatural incidents would continue to increase."

"I'm afraid of the number of supernatural phenomena that might occur once this land becomes filled with Kalki Qi," He shuddered for a moment, "After all, we are the sole race that can wield four elements and can use Lightning Qi, the bane of all supernatural entities. The world would definitely try to constrict us, not just using the Sha alone."
…
Re'Kha rode her horse and proceeded south, having memorised the route already. She already had the location that she would visit first, "Gro Mining Village. They have been facing trouble due to a mysterious beast that had recently taken up residence there."
The direction she had to proceed towards was southeast, and head into a cluster of mountains where numerous mining villages were located. It wasn't far, but the terrain was steep. So, she would only reach there during the evening.
Almost all the villages did a certain work that allowed them to transact goods with a Settlement or a City and obtain supplies in return. As the cities needed all sorts of minerals, a large number of mining villages were set up in places rich with mineral resources.
And usually, in such places, there would be a lack of food and drinkable water. So, the city would provide them the necessary resources. Usually, an Erki would be dispatched once a month or two depending on the mining village's efficiency.
A Harmoniser would accompany the Erki and would deal with everything in the place, reimbursing them with resources based on the amount they have mined. Moreover, the village chief would be given a couple of messenger birds that allowed him to communicate with the city or settlement he had ties with.
Their country only had the setup of Cities and Settlements that were officially recognised. After all, anyone that was capable of paying the taxes could live there. As for those unwilling to do so, they wouldn't be protected by the country.
It was such people that lived in villages. But at the end of the day, they were part of the same race. So, the capital had given them a way out to survive. So, even though the villages wouldn't have any active force stationed in the region to protect them, whenever they faced a threat, the nearby cities would send them support. To aid in that, the village heads of the recognised villages were given a messenger bird to help communicate and send distress signals when necessary.
And among all the villages, only a select few were recognised. As for the rest, they weren't recognised and wouldn't be provided any aid. But now, the Harmonisers had been dispatched to the unrecognised villages too for some reason, unwilling to see the problems in the places from developing any further.
Among them, Re'Kha was assigned to some of the unrecognised villages. Only her first location was recognised.

Evo-Gaming
Evolution based StarCraft story with game-like elements. Everyone gets a good cheat-like system with well design UI and player-friendly system. I get this broken piece of shit Alpha version. Not to mention, that starting at the very bottom is not that fun. Oh well, let's hope things get better later. Warning - If you read this now, you will be essentially beta tester. The story will include biology, chemistry, but will not focus on it too hard. I aim to please both groups but inevitably will probably alienate both the people who dislike the subject and the ones who like it.

The Rocky Shore
This is a LitRPG series. Every story you read here takes place in the same virtual world, with the same rules and limitations. Characters will travel, explore vast and dangerous realms, overcome obstacles, meet one another, enter into conflicts with one another, forge alliances, make horrible mistakes, and occasionally just die. A technological singularity has been achieved, and humanity has been trapped in a virtual world by a super-intelligent, self-improving artificial intelligence. This program is not malicious at all. In fact, it desires nothing except the happiness and fulfillment of every human it has copied into itself. If its decisions seem strange to you, that's only because its reasoning is far beyond ours. It recognizes that humans cannot be happy without enemies to overcome and goals to achieve, as well as the possibility of failure and death. The world it has created may be heaven or hell, depending on the free choices of the people it contains. The non-player characters who live in this realm have no idea that they are part of a vast computer system. They seem real enough, but there is no way to tell if they are truly self-aware. Even the system that created them isn't certain. This is world in which all the things that humans are used to dealing with in the abstract: skills, talents, knowledge, reputation, social status, morality, even love, exist as readable statistics that players can see and interact with objectively. This has many curious and complex effects on how people perceive themselves and the world around them. A few quick notes on the system: -Death is permanent -The system interface can only be accessed at certain locations. -Magic of diverse kinds is available and useful, but is not a good substitute for skills, physicallity, or mental prowess. Non-magical characters are common and competitive. -There is no inventory system. Characters must physically carry everything they wish to have on their person. -Healing is slow and difficult. Magical Healing is all but unheard of. Protagonists: Raymond Garrison- A man in his late twenties who used to work as a forklift operator in Idaho. His path leads him to work as a mercenary, protecting a small community of humans and goblins from the Seelie Fae who wish to exterminate them. Patricia Chandler- A elderly British woman who arrives in this new world with her grandson Kyle and her granddaughter Elizabeth. Never having dealt with rpg game mechanics before, she is in for a rough time, but she is determined to keep her grandkids alive in a world full of danger and evil. Jamil Mesbah- An Egyptian woman who once worked as a technical writer. Her path leads into a vast and hostile forest, where she must master both her magical abilities and her survival skills in order to succeed. Enjoy your travels, friends.
