Murim Recurve Chapter 110

"You look a lot bright these days, Re'Luk." Mu'Tua smiled; her eyes darted to the servant who was cleaning a corner of the room as she mentally sighed, having to use a foreign name on her granddaughter.
"Of course," Re'Kha smiled cheerfully, stuffing her mouth full as she ate without restraint, "I have no responsibilities now and can fully focus on meditation. These days are the most peaceful I ever felt after becoming a Harmoniser."
"It's been three months already…" Mu'Tua sighed. She then saw how uncomfortable it felt as she motioned for the servant, Sii to give them some private space. The servant bowed and exited the dining room, closing the door upon her exit as she stood outside. She had to remain in place until she was summoned inside once again.
Now that she could speak freely, Mu'Tua complained, "I've been researching through many documents about regenerating the eyes. And, I have a fair enough confidence of healing you fully without any issues. But, the only thing I'm afraid of is the Ghost Qi in your eyes. I am unable to determine their functions yet."
'The moment you regenerate a new pair of eyes is when the Blinded Ghost can use its connection with you to possess your body. That is one of the reasons it does that.' Re'Kha thought about what her master had said previously as she spoke after a moment, "Grandma, in the chance you're able to regenerate my eyes without issues, will the Blinded Ghost use that to possess me?"
She then iterated the experience she shared with the Blinded Ghost in the last encounter, "At that time, I could actually see myself through my eyes. And, somehow, the Blinded Ghost was able to take control of my palm projection."

Mu'Tua frowned as she seemed to recall something, immediately getting up as she rushed to her study room. Sometime later, she exited the study room, prancing around the house as she shouted, "Sii, where is the document of the patients whose body parts were stolen by a Sha and had been treated?"
Sii entered the room immediately as she replied after a moment of thought, "My lady, you had given it to the Clan Head a couple of years ago."
Mu'Tua stopped, nodding in realisation, "Right, I gave it to him when he was researching about the topic."
She then looked at Re'Kha, "I'll be leaving on work now. Once I find something concrete about it, I'll tell you."
"I planned to roam the market today for a change," Re'Kha replied as she saw Mu'Tua leave in a hurry.
"If you are short on cash, just ask Sii," Mu'Tua said and exited the house.
Sii helped her board the cycle rickshaw always on standby in their Clan, waited until the cycle rickshaw disappeared before returning to the house. She then bowed a little towards Re'Kha, "Lady Re'Luk, how much do you want me to withdraw?"
"It's fine," Re'Kha waved her hands, "I have enough money for what I wish to purchase. It's nothing expensive anyways."
Sii nodded, recalling something as she said, "Lady Ki'Nua had sent a letter in the morning. She wanted to meet you if you went to the market. I couldn't disturb you since you were meditating, my lady."
"Oh, that's nice. I wanted to see her too." Re'Kha smiled, recalling the fun conversation she shared with the three girls, "Do you have a method to contact her? I was just planning to head to the market myself."

"Yes," Sii nodded, "We have reared some birds in the Clan. We usually use those to send short messages to other establishments within the city. Please give me some time, my lady. I'll return with a reply soon."
"Please take your time," Re'Kha waved her hand, watching Sii bow and exit the room. It didn't even seem like she had realised her age, aging around the sixties, prancing around everywhere like she was only in her thirties. Though, it also meant she had received favourable treatment from Mu'Tua, and hence her body was maintained in tiptop condition.
It was something she had noticed in the Mu Clan, in the times she extended her Wind Qi perception to encompass the entire Clan. Every Clansman she noticed was brimming with vigour. They were like in their teens, hyperactive.
'It was probably due to them being in an environment that constantly nurtured their body. The herbs, not to mention their Pranic Avatar and its miraculous powers. All these combined might have been the cause for their activeness.' She thought.
'Right, is everything alright with my Pranic Avatar?' Re'Kha wondered. After all, a Pranic Avatar was nurtured and stored in a Harmoniser's Pranic Heart. It was more like a key to them as their bodies were condensed using the Elemental Qi they consume.
But in her case, her master had fused his Pranic Heart into hers. So, she was unsure if there was anything amiss about her Pranic Avatar. Until now, she was focused on meditating and increasing her Wood Qi that she had completely forgotten about it. Before that, she never had enough Elemental Qi to condense it.
After all, the minimum a Pranic Avatar needed to condense was 10 units of Elemental Qi. It was why Re'Kha hadn't used it. It was also because her Pranic Avatar only had a single foundation, and could only exist for 120 breaths before it disappeared. If she summoned it when it didn't have much practical use, she was just wasting 10 units of Elemental Qi.
After all, it took a full meal to recover a unit's worth of Elemental Qi. So, it took at least three days to generate the required Elemental Qi to condense her Pranic Avatar.
And in all the battles before, either the situation wasn't suitable or she didn't have enough Elemental Qi to condense it. Only now did she recall about it, wondering if it too had been through any changes.
"Only one way to find it out." On seeing how it would take some time for Sii to send a message and obtain a reply from Ki'Nua, Re'Kha hurried to her room, locked the door, and fished out a Water Qi Essence.
That was one method to recover her Elemental Qi quickly.

BODY&SHADOW
AN ILLUSTRATED NOVEL • UPDATES TUESDAY AND FRIDAY In a time before living memory, the King Dragon of the Void watched the world and realized there was a crack. He realized that humanity was destroying the rock upon which they lived; they leaked life’s code into the churning chaos. At first the change was imperceptible: nanites overtook microorganisms, bacteria, viruses, amoebas. Insects became increasingly inorganic; birds and lizards followed soon after. Even humans were infected by their own advances, cell by cell, till there was not a person left on earth who wasn’t at least part synthetic, the product of a prior generation’s carelessness. The world’s population was ravaged by mechanical viruses with no vaccines; they were mercilessly overtaken by bacteria that knew no death. Soon, most of the planet was empty and only a handful remained who remembered the hedonist realm they came from; only a few were left who remembered what the world looked like when their buildings touched the sky. The King Dragon of the Void watched the rock turn. He watched humans cower as the Old World fell down around them; watched their great monuments crumble into dusty ruins; watched their codes become precious, ancient gem memories forged under the crushing pressure of so many fallen stones. The world has spun many times around the sun since chaos swallowed man whole. It is a simpler time than the one that died out, but the people now are not immune to the folly of the people before. There is old code everywhere: in the water, in the air, in the trees. The heart of man has been replaced by power cores, many of which are hard-coded with preternatural abilities—when they die, an esoteric mountain sect collects their cores and stores them in their hollow mountain home to preserve the sanctity and dignity of human death. They’ve learned to harness artifacts of the old world, gemstones full of codes their nanite infused bodies can parse as spells imbuing their users with great power; they inlay them into their bodies, into their skins, connected to their cores by copper conduit and gold tracers; they dress themselves in tattoos to advertise their prowess; they battle for relics in arenas, fight for them in the open world wherever they are found. The King Dragon of the Void watches the rock turn and wonders: when will this hunger finally make the rock stop spinning? WELCOME TO FANXING CITY … Twenty-five years ago, Fanxing City and the surrounding lands were commanded by the mad King Zao Beiguan. For many years, the King hoarded wealth, artifacts, food; he demanded tribute from a people already taxed to the edges of their existence and expected they be happy with their circumstances. Noncompliance was often punished harshly, bodies displayed proudly on Fanxing’s streets as a warning, from the city gates to the Zao palace’s golden doors. The youths of several prominent clans came together to overthrow the tyrant and made names for themselves as legendary heroes across the land: Tian, Ren, Feng, Gui, Ma, and Zhenxi. Even wanderers from the Luanshi sect descended from Yunji mountain to aid the rebellion. When the dust settled after three years, Tian Yunyong ascended the throne of Fanxing and swore to honour his slain father’s memory, and has maintained Fanxing’s peace with generosity and mercy where fear and cruelty once reigned.

Quirkless?
As a small child my whole perception of the world changed. I was surrounded by liars and fakes. Humans are such a cruel species, if someone doesn't fit they are cast out. People turn a blind eye to cruelty I've faced, people don't care about the quirkless. Except I'm not quirkless. Far from it. All I can say is my treatment in this world made me strong but cold, bitter and apathetic. I was the only human I could trust, I and I alone. Here is the story of how I ended up in my version of hell, UA. Surrounded by, well you know, just about every single person I couldn't get far enough away from. And an overkill quirk just about everyone wanted a piece of. Yeah I was dealt some pretty shitty cards, now you'll see how I play them.Uploads depend on my schedule but I'll try weekly also error will be made cuz I dotn proof read, when I've finished I'll go over it 😅 The story follows Izuku but if there's a change in povs there will be a indication ⚠️ warning swearing and violence⚠️
